Mate! You are so far ahead of so many others of your age. Well done, you can see clearly what Thailand rural is all about. We, for family reason built a new home in Rangsit. I remember arriving there from Australia for the first time and not having any hot water. 3 bathrooms and not one with hot water! All bathrooms had hot water by the end of the next day. Gotta have a hot shower.

I would suggest that a lot of your subscribers like watching the everyday life videos , there are plenty of vloggers out there doing the travel vids, yours is somewhat different from the rest as its normal thai farm life which you don't see much of. This is the real happiness . Our Thai girl, your wife, is a lucky girl to have you. It is true like you said the happiness is free in your head and knowing how to utilise what you have . For basil you can grow it from a cutting, it'll be easier than growing it from seeds. 😊 I'm a beginner in gardening as well but I wanted to share a little knowledge.

Boil hot peppers down to extract the capsaicin,put in spray bottle and spray on leaves.put beer in dishes or cans in the garden it will attract bugs and slugs 💝😁👍

Ahhh the shower,i remember the days when whe where at the village house from my wife,the shower room.A sort of concrete bath tube where a bucket was floating around in icecold water.It took alot courage to throw the 1ste bucket over yourself in the morning with this cold water.I did'nt mind do that during the hot day,its refreshing in the heat.Nowadays they installed hot water instalation just like yours.......keep up the good work.
What was the families reaction to hot water on demand?? It has been a quick 2 months, it seems like only 2 weeks ago you planted the cucumbers. I love thinking that when damo was talking to you she was asking how on earth does it take you soooo long to do the dishes. The bowl woth the blue pattern is now a plain white bowl as you have scrubbed the pattern off.

I don’t think I’ll ever find any of your vlogs boring, they give me a true insight into farm life in northern Thailand, something that hopeful I’ll end finding out for myself someday. Keep them coming. With some of the veg your trying to grow that won’t grow, try growing them in 50ltr rubber buckets, your be suprized at what you can get from a bucket food wise. Check out HGV (Home Grown Veg) on you tube, for a better insight to what you can grow in buckets, from onions to potatoes. I’ve been testing it for the last 3 years and had massive success with my spuds, cucumber, onions, tomatoes, peppers, chillies, lettuce and best were radishes and leeks, so tasty. And I couldn’t agree more, FREEDOM is in the mind of a person and so many times, it’s a person past or behaviour that’s keeps a person from being free.

I would advise covering those holes with a screen in the shower area . My Thai gf family lives in the countryside too . Mosquitoes will eat you alive , especially during the rainy season and any other insects.

Grow from off-cut stems is much easier than from seeds..
I have so many plants that I prunes, leave the cut-off stems /stalks in water jar and when they start to root, I gave them away...
Just ask neighbours for some off- cuts... Cheers
