This is a fan made video, NOT FOR PROFIT and for CULTURAL and EDUCATIONAL purposes to promote the artist (Frank Zappa)
I do not own the rights to this material, I use it only for promotional-cultural use. (If you find something here - pic, video or music - that you believe shouldn’t be here, please let me know and I will remove it)

I created this for my personal pleasure, without any commercial purpose. I made the selection of songs, cut out & sew, equalisation, stereo balance, adjustment levels, "segues" between the songs, and many other minor actions to correct any defects (as far as possible).

After 4 days 6,000 views!
And this is not Hot Rats, this is my compilation, made by me!
This gives me great satisfaction, thanks guys!
Thanks for another snippet of Genius
That many views because you create AMAZING videos!
Dude, that was a KILLER compilation! Thank you so much! Haven't heard the Frogs song in years!
Ooo ooo Waterloo! Thanks for all of this!
Man, you really know how to entertain my ears and make them happy !! Thanks again !
br1 back with another one. The amount of work you put into these compilations has my respect and awe as always. Really enjoyed the Upgradando on the Ritz '81...keep fighting the censors!
"The greatest composer of the twentieth- century didn't need a wig, with a sense of humor you could really dig, he composed complex and beautiful melodies played by crazies in a rock band, and played Loud rock guitar like no SOB can. He spoke his mind like a true man. His name is Frank Zappa and he was an American." td
I would argue that what really allows one to call zappa “the greatest” is not his compositions, his guitar work, his many phenomenal lineups or his conceptual vision. In my opinion, what makes zappa the greatest, is the fact that he was one of the few who could say only a very small handful were his equal but none were his better....at any of these things. However, there were not and as far as I know still are not any who can claim to be his equal in all of these areas of musical expression. The only way I can describe my feelings about zappa, having the reality of this put in perspective, is complete AWE. I am constantly in awe of this man and what he was able to accomplish, especially when I realize that he achieved this level of skill and creative vision at fairly young age...both of which he channeled into another aspect of creativity that, again, very few achieve....his creative output. I can’t think of another musician who composed or performed at or near his level, even a fraction of the material that Zappa created. Think of the great bands, the great players and/or the great composers of the modern era....how many of them produced an archive of original music which is anywhere near the size of zappas archives. Hell the man was an accomplished film editor as well, I have no idea how much original film he created....but I have no doubt that there’s quite a bit. The man was a genius who has no equal in all the world of modern music (20th century on) and who has only an extremely small number of equals in any human pursuit. His name has every right to be mentioned alongside Tesla, Einstein, Hemingway, Ali, Mantle, Jordan, Hendrix, Stravinsky, Kennedy and not many others.
Great lost version of MY GUITAR . Pachuco whoops by Roy give it that extra El Monte ship of love vibe .
Holy cow, this version of Dupree's Paradise is one for the books, incredible!
Frank was a friend....I met him early in his bands start ..The Mothers of Invention.. and then over the years I ended up partying with Mother Ray and Jimmy Carl Black ...and Frank...who wouldn't drink...or smoke...Serious Composer-Director....A Golden-Boy .....And HOW ! But I was still His Friend....Jay-R .
I never tire of hearing this version of Orange Claw Hammer. I don't know if Don penned it as a sea shanty, he probably did, but he and Frank really nailed it. Those two ... I have no words.
Astonishing! Thank you my friend for your hard work and dedication. Frank Zappa lives!
Thank you, sir, for showcasing a brilliant, way-ahead-of-his-time composer, musician and humorist/satirist who broke the bonds of music the same way Lenny Bruce did for comedy.
Thanks br1tag! Something to listen to this evening
Something frank had two hands and more left..now that's something!
Oh yeah, Duke's Fender Rhodes and synth solo in Big Swifty is righteous ! Many thnx for all your excellent material on your channel....Dig !!!
Oh if you like I have a playlist of 8 FZ uploads you can check...Black Page Vinyl from Keyboard Player magazine is cool with notation...hey but you probably have...your FZ wall is like my Morricone and friends wall of cd's.
Killer '81 Zoot Allures with Chad really thwacking the drums during the frenzied outro!
OMG George Duke's solo on Dupree's Paradise is awesome
"The most fun I've ever had in my life was being on the road with Frank" - George Duke
I love your hobby!!
Many thanks again
I love your compilations! Everything I listen to makes me so sad that I only got to see him once in '84. But your channel makes me smile, laugh, and dance around my kitchen. My dog becomes a tad bit alarmed because he's not used to seeing me happy and frolicking!
Always a pleasure.
I was at the slonimsky show and the 1est show when he jammed my all time favorite yo mama that were he recorded Lisa's life's story Frank flashed her titles Frank was so cool 😎 there never be another artist like him ever music died 💔 when he left us keep them coming you rock

Duprees never disappoints fucking masterpiece
Good stuff man
O meu preferido ❤
The Nicolas Slonimsky solo reminded me of some of Alan Zavod's volcano solos.
Check out Slonimsky on Johnny Carson 1986. Hilarious stuff!
Wow how about Frank’s clean solo on Montana?!?!?!
Where do u find all this stuff?
@upsidedahead - I find these stuff under the watermelon in easter hay (he-he-he!) - Montana's solo is very interesting!
@@br1tag I miss the watermelon here but I'm not complaining. 😒
@@br1tag The CS doesn't find it comes to him. Watermelon grow best in cow-patties so ruminant.
Frank Zappa was a wild one alright, he had some stuff. I don't own many of his albums, but I enjoyed his mothers of invention albums. Thanks for sharing your collection.
It always baffles me why people never moved on from early Mothers. Does the Mark Volman Howard Kaylan band cause a rift? I remember John Peel saying "I enjoyed the early Mothers but around 1970 Frank Zappa went in the toilet and he never seemed to come out" What was so great that he dropped Zappa?
Viva zappa again!Again!again!franks guitar on big swifty is the bizniz and dukey rip gents always loved 🙏 nobody does it better HOTCHA!!!
the era I first saw Frank live. Still better than Helen Reddy and hockey in the winter
🙏🎼🎶Viva Zappa🎸🍉
Better than church any day of the week.
The alternate of My Guitar take is so amazingly bluesy!

Funk! It is funk.
Scheint ein Fan zu sein;)

Frank avait donné les bases musicales modernes au rock et au jazz-rock. Je pense à toi mon grand....
Why don't you just write in English ???? I mean...what ...the Fuck .....
@@jamesnichols9326 Not everyone is born into native English speaking countries. If you expect them to learn other languages then maybe you should too, or use an online translator tool like Google Translate >:)
Is that Captain Beefheart singing on Orange Claw Hammer?
Thx for the excellent upload br1tag!
@Atomic Gumbo Surprise - Yes, he is the Captain!
I was just thinking that while listening to it . It’s gotta be him
You know it
Tenho 140 CD de Frank zappa
🌕
Arf arf here goes ur slippers! 👁️❣️🎵❄️🌍❄️🍄😍✌️🥂
Can anyone help? My first listening experience to Frank was in 85 to a live recording on cassette. During the concert there is someone saying I'll get you Frank to the music of the cartoon Inspector Gadget. Any ideas as to the concert?
I know there's recording of him and sting doing Murder By Numbers right around that time.
Arf arf arf!
And I ask you how many bands have electric violins xylophone horns strings and guitar ?
questions questions questions.....
Hehehee.
Ciao br1tag - grazie.
Salute.
P.S. - spero tu possa tradurre l'italiano correttamente...
@Claudio Rinaldi - Ciao Claudio, grazie. Sono d'accordo con quanto hai scritto. Guarda, io non ho proprio problemi con l'italiano, io sono italiano he-he-he!
@@br1tag ... non ne ero certo... meglio così... pensavo fossi francese... meglio italiano... no? Almeno ci capiamo... hehehee.
Ad maiora.
@@claudiorinaldi9061 - Certo, è sempre un piacere!
Great place to hangout. I have to ask, there's a character on Stargate SG-1 named Braitag. Is that a coincidence?
@Miner Bake - Yes, it is a coincidence. My nickname has a different origin.
I was shanghaide by a high hat beaver
WHERE CAN I GET MY JEANS EMBRODERED????

Thanks for uploading! Back in 2015 I used to regularly watch your black napkins compilation. I recognize it was taken down, but, I was wondering if it’d be possible to re-upload, or if you’d be willing to share via cloud link? We all deeply appreciate your efforts.
*edit: grammar, syntax
Zappaouqui 😜
Who wouldn't of wanted to be at the waterloo 11.18.73 show. Little ont. Can. Town.. halfway between grandma's (stayner, ont) and Detroit hwy. 401
Would you have any recordings from the famous berlin show? the one with the riot?
@Joe Mussari - Honestly ... sorry but I don't know what concert you are looking for.
@@br1tag The one that's the subject of 'Holiday in Berlin':
"Played for a night in Berlin
That afternoon we set up our shit and rehearsed
Half a dozen phony student rebels in the hall...
And then we began to play
A bunch of punks arose from the crowd
Student rebels, their flags of red..."
@@br1tag I believe there is footage of it too, but it was at the sportpalast in 68 or 69. Footage can be seen from the Zappa documentary thats floating around here on youtube. it was either a A&E or BBC documentary.
@@br1tag It's the Sportspalast concert they played on October 16, 1968.
@@joemussari1464 - Ah OK. No, I have not audio tape of this concert.
l'appartamento..è in affitto ??
BR1 thx for this interesting upload! Do you know if you used the same Detroit 73 as found here:? bigozine2.com/roio/?p=2668
A bit of a mystery show for sure, it doesnt really sound like 73 but Ruth and George can be clearly heard so it probably is correct!? Wow, really enjoyed Montana and whatever that incredible jam was that followed! Sick I tell ya, just sick! Anyways, miss Frank extra much today for some reason so this is good medicine thx again!
@Sean Grexa - Yes, that's the concert, I'm not sure about the data, but it's likely.
Ewho else can play guitar like Zappa....?No one
I had the great Fortune to see him five times including Steve's rookie tour. The day before a Zappa concert feel like Christmas Eve, when you are 8 years old. A man that could not and would not be pigeonholed.
Yes my dear, but i'm french man and my english in very bad....
I have to apologize,...I don't know who you are, but thank you
do you have wax flags new years eve?
