    UNIONS =BETTER WAGES. These are the things schools need to be teaching instead of brainwashing them to go to a 4 year university with massive student loans. They need to teach more about the Trades and give these kids options. The school system is jacked. They also need to teach these kids about investing and 401ks in high school. Stuff thats needed for the real world.

      I've done both. The sad thing is that if you're not taught critical thinking, you will be taken advantage of. If you're going into the trades, GO INTO A UNIONIZED TRADE. If you're interested in going to university, do it, but consider taking on a trade in the summers to pay for school. And when you're done in uni, don't forget to advocate for your friends in the trades.
      We don't have to polarize yet another thing, why would that be valuable? We need both. Don't spit on the hand that might help you tomorrow.

      Be ready for harassment/locker room talk. Unfortunately we're not evolved enough to have ended it, and we're expected to get used to it. Keep an eye out for other women in the trades and advocate for them whenever possible.

      Please advocate for your sisters in the trades, as a man you have more weight in the conversation than we do. We can keep up, but if there are barriers like harassment, many won't stay.
      I'm speaking as a woman who was in the trades, and am now studying sexual harassment in trades as a graduate student. It's real, it's prevalent, and the job would still get done without the locker room talk.

    • @charlesxavier6785
      @charlesxavier6785 6 місяців тому

      @@yuordreamsI have to be honest with you most women cannot keep up on the job. It’s got nothing to do with harassment. Trade work is physically demanding, mentally stressful, and unapologetic. The harassment usually comes once it’s obvious they can’t keep up. It’s just like the young guy on the job, if he is good nobody gives him shit but if he slacks and slows everyone down he gets rode hard. The same rules apply to women on the job. I do HVAC and in ten years I know only one female who has made it through apprenticeship and is now licensed.

He was not gender biased when it came to chores either. We took turns with certain choirs. My favorite choirs when it was my turn was mowing the lawn " including the weeding with the electric weeder," and taking out all the trash. My least favorite was doing dishes. I also played in girls sports leagues. Volley ball and softball. They didn't have girls baseball where we were stationed at, so softball was close enough. This was in the 80's. was a total tomboy. Still am. A terf one too. I've worked all my adult life, doing some of these jobs too, using heavy equipment. My favorite one was always the reach truck. It matters not if she is able to do the job. The undeniable, historical, empirical truth is:
    1. Every woman, who gets a tradesman job, is a job, a man didn't get. Regardless of qualification.
    2. Every married mother working, is a woman not at home, taking care of the home, children and preparing for her husband's arrival home, to care for his every want, need and desire.
    3. Every wife working, her dependency upon her husband is diminished. Her hypergamous nature is empowered, via self financial provisioning, (or worse, government subsidizing), outside of her husband. Thus, she cannot FULLY RESPECT her man. The marriage will FAIL.
