Other than the influence of music over these generations, perhaps they are calling out to all A'tin fans from all these eras, who were born and grew up in the 50's, 60's,70's, 80's, 90's to present. We are all connected by music no matter how old or young we are.
THEY ARE LEGENDS THIS EARLY IN THEIR CAREERS. I LIKE YOUR NARRATIVE, ABOUT THE SAMSUNG GALAXY AS A DEVICE TO TIME TRAVEL. THEY'VE ELEVATED HOW MUSIC SHOULD BE🥰✔️💎
Pablo wrote the song for the members. He said, he felt disconnection among the group because of the lockdown. he wanted to reach out to them through this song.
Yeah. That's why if you check the lyrics, the first part of the song is about their disconnection (during the pandemic lockdown) and the last part is about their reconnection (after the pandemic lockdown).
Wil, there's no distortion of their voices here. Remember this group is not into autotune that much. The first time I heard them using minimal autotune was their Make Your Green Mark song for Acer computer. 💙
Yes philippines sorta like this during 60s and 70s esp during Macapagal Sr and President Marcos times.. and the only greenscreen btw was the outro takes.. 60s to 70s and to 80s eras.. Song composed by Pablo Choreo by Stell And Creative Director is Justin..
sb19 will be having a tour in usa, dubai and singapore, hope you can watch their concert! just check their social media accounts especially twitter. tickets on sale soon. new york concert is on sale now
Philippines is a former US colony and even after gaining independence from the US, American pop culture is very strong in the country esp during the post WW2 era.
During on their Live last night, they are talking about the song is connected about Pandemic because because of the quarantine, you can't connect or hang out to your friends or even family.
The song is about Pablo longing for his members during pandemic lockdown. So the song is about expressing a reconnection for people he misses at the time of creating this song.
Literally time travelling. Josh holding the samsung phone in 50/60s era , right before the first chorus . Creative director Justin is genius! from concepts down to every references and details
70's, 80's disco vibe with seemingly time travel to the present is so good,, you're right Wilson it's nostalgic... Ken's high range vocal,, Justin's HYPE is WOW.. the wardrobe, the setting, the beat, the choreography is amazing..Pablo's musically, Justin as creativity, Stell's choreography created this amazing WYAT MV... enjoyed this a lot.. as you did..thank you Wilson for your appreciation and reaction.. God bless
At the same time its a reference to A'Tin coz the hour hand is entering the number 8 and the minute hand is entering the 10, so 8 and 10, 8-10, 18, or A'Tin.
Pablo said he was able to wrote WYAT during the height of pandemic, where everything came to a halt, and he felt a disconnection among the group. He said it still feels different when you're spending time with people in person and not being limited by virtual communication. Kind of a love letter to the boys huhu
Next level timeless MV. Great reaction as always. Product placements, the power of SB19 as endorsers: Samsung phones, laptop, pizza, donuts and pepsi -- are just some of their endorsements.
I was waiting for your reaction Wilson. To see you sway with the music gives me the message that the boys did a good job with WYAT. Wow my respect for you that you noticed and enjoyed that high note by STELL in the end...it's really amazing it competed against the instrumental haha. #SB19XCHANGGANG #STELL #SB19_STELL
Philippines were very American in the 50s, 60s. It went downhill after 1986. They had diners and opera houses back in the day… in case you didn’t know Philippine was an American colony.
WYAT reminds us of the times we enjoyed each other’s company listening to great music of the times without a care about a dangerous virus in the air. The Covid lockdown impacted lives globally shutting us out from face-to-face interaction. Now slowly we are getting re-connected and we appreciate each other more. “Embedded in our hearts and soul”. Long live SB19! Appreciate your candid reaction Wilson.
..the US had kinda colonized the Philippines since the Spaniards passed us to them in 1898..then it lasted up to july 4, 1945 when they finally gave our independence..so around 50s, 60s and 70s, American influence is still huge in our country especially because the US got military bases established in the Philippines..so yeah, i believe diners are big during that time in the philippines too..🥰
Yes american cafes n diners are similar in the Phil. We were strongly influenced by the USA since the Liberation from Spanish rule, thats why our second language is English.
Thank you so much, been waiting for your RV. Yup, their concept is time travelling to 70's/80's to 90's era. They nailed the retro & disco pop, as always SB19 are versatile artists/musicians. Hope you'll see them on the tour! #SB19xCHANGGANG
Well said! Like no matter where you at, what generation you were they appreciate everyone and were impacted by all the generations. Thanks for a great reaction. Hope you have a great day! 🙏☺️👍
Thanks for the constant support to the boys 🔥 Hello to all viewers/ casuals if you like the song you can support it by purchasing WYAT on Apple or simply liking it on Spotify .
They are from the present (refer to the last part or the outro of the MV) and time traveled to the past, probably to the 70's, 80's and maybe early 90's, that's why they have with them smartphone.
FYI the Philippines was colonized by America too, hence the "diner scene" is totally understandable. So the MV timeline moves from the 50's through the 90's.
