    The rumbling is easily one of the scariest end of world scenarios of any anime i've watched
    the chaos and utter fear in the event is very much real which is why it's so good
    easily one of the most uncomfortable things i've watched in fiction (personally speaking )

      @@camilopardo2634third impact isn't scary at all. They fail to put you into perspective being fantanized, unlike the rumbling they really make you feel the terror of being stomped and burned to death by showing it from the people perspective.

      @@-antares_ Third impact is absolutely terrifying. Besides the absolutely crazy imagery in display you also get the moment to see everyone's quick moment befores becoming LCL and scream unto death. And then there's the concept itself behind the Human Instrumentality Project. The rumbling is a global scale genocide, killing is the point. The Instrumentality of Mankind's objective is to merge everyone's souls into one single mind. And, while that eventually brings relief, at the begining is a rather scary experience

    I thought Footsteps of Doom was the epitome of impending doom finally at our doorsteps. But fricking hell, An Ordinary Day really takes the cake. It is so tragic, chaotic, and depressing, yet still so beautiful at the same time. Kohta Yamamoto really nailed this track, my fav track from him to date. *SPOILER WARNING* It's also such a perfect track that describes the sheer madness that Eren has completely nosedived into. Makes me so sad for his character because the track literally conveys a feeling of complete disappointment and hopelessness, the same feeling Eren went through as he finally realized what the future held for him and that there was no other way he saw to protect his friends and let them live long lives. I just love this track so much.

    I've seen a bunch of people here on UA-cam adding their own little spin on the "An Ordinary Day" track. And I have to say, comparatively, your version matches almost completely to the original. The official track is also a little different from the version used in the actual episode, but it is way more terrifying. I'd love to know what your creative process for this track was. The second half of your version is legitimately almost identical fam. Incredible work! And shout out to everyone else who also had a go on their version of the official track.

    • @tomdabrowskimusic
      @tomdabrowskimusic  7 місяців тому +1

      Thank you, that makes me very happy!
      Of course I'll explain, I'm always happy when people are interested in my work :)
      As for the creative process, it's actually like any other cover I do. Logically, I listen to the episode and try to pick out instrument (or instrument section) by instrument from the track. Sometimes it's really challenging, for example when there's a lot of dialogue at the same time or a lot of sound effects are used. In this respect, the scene was very grateful. And then I try to find what sounds closest to the original in my collection of virtual instruments and synthesisers. (or modify it so that it sounds like the original)
      I also have to say that if I were to do the track again today, it would (and I'm confident enough to say this) sound 99% like the original track from the episode, because I've learnt so much in these 9 months, especially when it comes to mixing. And without mixing, it would all be an acoustic mush.
      My aim is always to get as close as possible to the original. Of course it's also challenging to always have your own little touch, but I find it more exciting and also much more challenging when it really has to sound 1-to-1 like the original.
      Oh man that was a lot of information, I hope I haven't bored you with it. 😅

    • @zayedsoudagar1759
      @zayedsoudagar1759 7 місяців тому +1

      @tomdabrowskimusic Not at all!! I can't have enough frankly, haha. This is so fascinating to me, so I'm super grateful for such a detailed response.
      Your process is honestly so impressive because you would have to sift out the sounds of all those specific instruments from the rest of the sounds present in that section of the episode. You should be proud, man! And I'm sure you're only gonna get better at this for future projects. And yess I feel the same way about creating a one-to-one copy coz I love to see if people are able to catch everything on the track. Good luck with everything you have going on, brother!

      @josephstalin3120 as far as I know, no there aren’t.
      I use the same choir plugins Sawano used in Season 1-3 and since Yamamoto learned from Sawano I don’t think he had access to a real choir either. And pretty much all choir plugins just have these vocal sounds.
      Listen for example to Episode 85 where Armin gets shot and crawls towards Daz. It sounds like lyrics but it really isn’t.
