Charity however isn't the solution. It's one of the major reasons why most African nations today still have terrible economy since it hinders the nation to grow, which must happen from within. What are they talking about, well not being functional in 5 years? Proper pitcher pump wells can last decades with minimal maintenance. It's literally 2 pieces of leather to act as gaskets that might need to be replaced. These can be formed and cut from any veg tanned leather, you know something humans have been working with for THOUSANDS of years. That just sounds like a lack of knowledge, not an issue with putting in wells! Pitcher pump wells have a long lifespan and can serve communities for decades, not just years.

Excess use of water is actually problem in many developing (and developed) countries in the world. Drilling 100 wells without consulting experts on sustainability of the water can lead to causing all wells in the area to run dry. That might not be an issue here, but it definitely is plausible that good intentions lead to bad outcomes. Here's an analogy: handing out nets to villages by the sea so they can fish without calculating how much fishing is sustainable, which causes overfishing which destroys fishing as livelihood for everyone possibly forever. I'm sure Mr Beast did his homework on this, because that literally is the #1 concern when drilling new wells.

i don't think this woman is actually complaining about mrbeast or saying mrbeast should've criticized the kenyan government or anything like that. i think her point is that the person watching at home should be aware of, not the kenyan government's corruption, but their own governments'. mrbeast is a wealthy guy coming from a wealthy nation. his good intentions are just that, and what he has done here is objectively a good thing, but if the immensely wealthy global superpower he comes from was more interested in mitigating global disparity rather than fostering it, then perhaps it wouldn't be necessary for someone like mrbeast to use his own money to provide people across the planet with clean drinking water. so we simply shouldn't watch mrbeast's video and think "wow mrbeast, so generous. he's a great guy. welp, i guess that about does it, africa is saved" and move on. global disparity persists despite his good deed, and it's not only because of corruption within africa, but also because of a global history of exploitation and colonialism. bill gates has donated $50 billion dollars since '94 or something like that. that's great, but it just proves the limitations of charity, and the shortsightedness of thinking that charity could solve everything. it takes a lot of money to build and maintain things like infrastructure, more than one person can provide. it's a question of awareness and of strategy. no individual person can really make a dent singlehandedly. honestly though, if one guy could donate a portion of his money and fix an entire nation, it would just speak even more to the immensity of global disparity, wouldn't it?

Mr Beast has no high ego he does this to help with his money and his knowhow and ofc his team! One guy can do alot sure but teams that works gets jobs done much quicker ! you need teams brainstorming ideas for a solution ! so the guy you said 15 years should be happy that a team came along and took the burden of his shoulders and achieved the end goal !

There should be groups of people writing emails to these websites to take down these ridiculous posts. Activist or not, there should be a community of people that hunt down these ridiculous people and shame them personally for what they are doing to our society -- causing negative impact to people that want to help others. I stg it's so god damn annoying that in every single community, there are always people that shame people for lending handouts or doing something to help people that are struggling. Most online gaming tutors for competitive gaming are shamed for what their market is, they call it ludicrous pricing and that it's taking advantage of people for asking for coaching in literally every online game i've been in. It's a totally acceptable thing to want to spend your money on but these banshees wail about their inability to do anything and bring people to their knees with these posts. They are so destructive. I'm glad it's Mr. Beast. This dude doesn't give two squirts of piss what anyone has to say, he just does what he does with literally zero regard for criticism. It's great to see such a successful person doing these things. But if this were a smaller channel or someone with far less income, they would come to a grinding halt on their platform because what they are doing is incredibly expensive.
Rally the forces. These ridiculous media articles must stop.
