Hi Bren, beautiful plants you have there. I can tell you have a lot of love for the plants you have. They're so well taken care of! I just came from your olive tree video. How did the olive tree do in Ohio? I'm also live in Ohio and have always thought it got too cold. Hope you have a happy new year!
Thank you for commenting on my video. It is nice to know you stopped by and enjoy seeing the plants I grow. I have 2 of the arbequina olive trees in my dome greenhouse during the winter months. I sat the two small trees outside the structure for a short time last summer. I guess I just get too busy during the spring / summer that it is nice knowing the trees are protected in the dome space. I have written and shared video links on my blog / website brenhaas.com/tag/arbequina/ including an update video from 2 years ago. I guess it is time I do another video... maybe later today?! The trees have done amazing in Ohio - housed in the dome during the winter because they are rated for hardiness zone 8-11 and will not survive my 5b conditions outside the structure during winter. I have seen videos and images of the small tree in homes during the winter. My two trees are effortless to grow putting on new growth each year. Last year I noticed I missed a few olives that produced and didn't catch them until they had dried up! Maybe I will try getting a harvest in the years to come.
