I found that using cotton between sections helps with the swelling of lightener (reducing the chance of breakage and banding). This looks great! You did fantastic!
Hi. I love your video. Def saving it as a favorite for toner to try and the whole process of how and where your adding the lightener Wish u were nearby. The time u take is amazing. I’m so tired of the rushing and too large of section and not bringing the bleach up to cover my hot roots How long do you leave the toner on??
Omg I found this video in the right time! I’m still a new stylist and I was stressing over why my clients hair keeps getting darker every time I retouch her roots even though I use the same toner ! I’m guessing it’s toner buildup ! I’ve never bleach washed her after to remove old toner. So next time I will try bleach washing to remove all her old toner😊 what’s the longest you can leave the bleach wash on for ? An d what developer do you mix it with ?
I started doing this myself too it’s the best thing especially removing the old color from the ends I wouldn’t leave it on for too long obviously use your best judgment you wouldn’t want to leave it on for too long on someone who’s hair is pretty damaged just keep an eye on it also I think 20 volume is fine you need it to work if it’s only 10 I feel like it won’t work because you’re already diluting the bleach from the water and you’re only leaving it on for a few minutes ...you just want to “blast” out that old color
Hi there I have a question 🙋🏼♀️ I bleached my roots at home and toned my hair with Wella T18 but my roots still have a yellowish tint and am not sure if I should bleach my roots again and try that bleach wash that you just showed but I could really use some advice because my scalp does feel very sensitive.
Hi there!! Thanks so much for your question! Which bleach and developer did you use? Depending on that information you might want to try bleaching your roots one more time and add some heat! I always put some sort of a cap onto my clients to keep the heat on there scalp! After you put the cap on you can also use a hair dryer for a few minutes at a time to add extra heat if your roots are having a hard time lifting! Let me know if you have any other questions!!!! ❤️❤️
@@kjostyles thanks for your help! I used 30 volume developer and quick blue bleach. My scalp did feel very sensitive after I bleached it so I was hesitant about a second bleach job to my roots.
@@fergeecarcamo5434 i wouldn’t even dare to use 30 volume on your roots girl especially if you’re doing it yourself I’m a hairdresser too and 30 is too strong for your scalp it even says it on the bleach container ... this can really damage your hair and your scalp I’ve heard people getting blisters too so it can be dangerous if not doing it right ...make sure to use only 20 vol and really saturate your roots if the bleach gets dried up it’s not gonna work ...take thin sections and each bowl of bleach after 30 minutes it loses it power so make sure you’re taking your time amd mix new bleach if you have too ...keep an eye on the color and pay attention to time ...you want the hair to be pale yellow like the inside of a banana...and also keep in mind the hair might look white if the bleach is still on the hair and when you wash it it’s not even done trust me looks are deceiving...obviously use your best judgment ...I would be carful using hear as well def not on 30 if you’re hair is already damaged I wouldn’t recommend heat at all
Why did you use the toner during the wash out process? I’ve never done that and I’m curious as to how well that works vs apply it and leaving it on. Also, do you put developer in your toner?
My knowledge is absolutely shocking when if comes to toners so I hope this make sense! When you tone a client's hair with a toner, you have to put the matching developer in it because if you don't, you won't achieve any toning what so ever so using a toner with no developer is pointless because you will have wasted a good toner and a lot of time.. 👍🏻
I wish I had watched this video yesterday!!! When I do my clients hair next I'll be sure to use these tips thank you for your videos!!!

Very pretty!
What what your bleach mixture? Was there any oils or olaplex
Bleach touch ups at 4 weeks is okay?
Try toning with a little bit more pink it will look less drab and make sure to leave Olaplex on for 10mins
What was the ratio for the toner?
