I think "That's flammable doc" is a better perk to use instead of 7% snowball effect damage. With this character it's basically guaranteed you will ignite by hitting an enemy after a projectile, and fire damage will have a lot more consistency in extra damage then just 7% more.
I tried using that, I didn’t see the ignite prompt coming up after my projectiles alone. I think it only works in team fights which seems weird. Personally I use press the advantage and Last stand because Marvin can rack up damage fast, both incoming and outgoing. Might as well put the best debuff in the game into his moveset lol
No u need snowball doc so u get more damage which means moves kill easier and he is light and his kill power sometimes is not the best. The fire perk is good but sometimes u don’t get kills because u don’t have the extra damage even if it’s just 1
You forgot to mention that you can use side special on the ground right after the neutral jab to apply it's attribute to the bubble + you can feed the bubble with another bubble which gonna make it bigger or faster
WE MUST CLAIM THIS VIDEO IN THE NAME OF MAAAARS! As a Marvin main I used this guide to get better with my moves. I'm grateful you made this video. Thank you! "Where's The Kaboom?" 💥
Marvin is so slept on. Idk if hes good in twos, i really struggle to make stuff happen for him there, but in 1s I really like his ability to mix up in neutral and convert openings into decent combos or kill setups
A cool thing about the jab is that the projectile can be reverted by using N special wich is a great finisher for when the enemy is climbing on the wall
With his neutral ability it’s weird that so many of his projectiles disappear so early. It feels weird to try and get use of his abilities. So many of them have charges too. I’d keep his neutral attack from requiring charges since it seems to be there to help his moves that also have charges like the space time rifle and the ufo’s rockets. I don’t think you should have to keep an eye for several charges at once especially if half of them are for one move to pair with several other ones.
Instead of thinking as the neutral as a projectile modifier, use it as a close range jab. It's very fast, decent damage and knockback and even when it's little bubbles it beats most attacks. Whenever you are on the ground and the enemy is coming straight at you, put a bubble in their face, it hits very often and is a great combo starter!
Very nice guide, only thing I do different is instead of 2 Fast 2 Block, I'd experiment with Airwalker. Marvin doesn't really need another armor break since his electro gun already does so but safer and longer distance, and airwalker can open a lot of potential avenues with Marvin specifically
I think he has a di trap with side attack and up attack. If you cancel grounded side attack 2 with his grounded up attack, he takes a step forward automatically so that he is in position for the up attack to link. You also have the ability to aim it, which you cabt do with the side attack 3 shot. So it sort of gives you additional options if you hit side attack 2 but cant finish with the last hit of side 3 due to spacing or DI
@@rockeeellison5110 to keep it simple, normally when using up air you arr stationary. However if you say side light even if its the first or second hit or whatever, depending on the direction your opponent is heading marvin will slide to the left or right in order to track the opponent better with said up air, making it a sort of true combo if you dont charge it.
Ok what i use, if you want very fast matches is space invader (more top blast box kill power) thats flammable (extra damage) airwalker (amazing utility and recovery) and static electricity (extra damage) with that perk set you can zero to death so easily
ALSO if you bubble a bubble, its bug i think or maybe its intentional, but if you reverse the trajectory with neutral special, for a reason the bubble doesnt do dmg idk
the combos that you show only works at low percentage except jab 1 + DAttack i think that space invaders is better because you can jab 1 + DSpecial and its a true combo at every percentage that secures the first missil, so you can pretty easy secure kills at 90 damage or more with that, also if you don't want to dispell the debuff of the flag on the enemy, you can only use Fair or Dair and put a good preasure onto the enemy
Great stuff man you explained Marvin very well. I’m looking to pick him up and you made going through the basics entertaining. Hope to see more content from you! 🫡💙
How do you make projectiles aim or target towards the opponent without the flag? I managed to do it a lot in a fight, but sometimes I can't, so I want to know how to trigger it more often.
I super appreciate this guide, Its opened my eyes to button being an actual attack and not a weird gimmic. Does button still do damage when its on cooldown? Thanks again!
ngl ima be honest on the marvin gameplay is incredibly mid you when you place the flag should be reserved for the rocket if u have the rocket perk. And the bubble should be used more often defensively and offensively especially when the flag is out and u never really use the button or the end projectile of the neutral attack combo efficiently
Let’s be real. Marvin kinda dookie. Even if you understand his move set, who’s gonna let you setup? And that 3 rocket perk ain’t the move either cause they just gonna smash you shit up so you just get one weak ass rocket
Marvin doesn't need time to setup, he can easily escape pressure on his own with his quick frame data. The setups are only for when you're in advantage and have the time to. Also if your opponent is so focused on destroying the rockets, you can punish them for it

is static electricity good for him?
how to do hold input for down attack? the beam, like it says in the move description
99% sure it's just wrong lol. i don't think you can, maybe he could do it in the beta and they didn't change the description

How do I hold the disintegration beam attack. Whenever I try to hold down the ability, it does not work.

I am so sorry but these perks are insane
Can someone explain to me how it works "space invader", the perk
He can aim slightly left or right when he fires his gun with his up air attack, as opposed to only being able to fire it directly above you.
Can you do a rick guide?
If you use the side special and after the main shot the enemy will fly off the screen hahahahahaha

can you do jake next please
