This is live concert footage that was taken from their CD release party at Town Ballroom in September of 2007. It is a song that will be featured on their new full length CD.
I was at the show. Look at the first 50 seconds alone. From Joey's picking, to Mike's leads and strikes on the glockenspiel, to Steve's drum strikes. It's too perfect all the way to the final applause. If you know the band's roster then you might think I'm one of them. Actually my kid is the drummer. I can tell you it's not a studio version, just great mixing by Joey. Believe me or not, I'm glad you like them. Thanx for an inteligent discussion. You have a good ear. Peace. Ck ROK 2
Thank you all so much for the kind words! Especially you ThePadinator ;) The audio was taken directly from the mixing board during the show and the video was taken by our friend Pete Arcara. Joey took the audio and mixed it similar to what would happen for a record then sent the audio to Pete who matched the audio with the video. This process is standard for making a "professional" video of a live show that even greats like Pat Metheny do. You guys are great...thanks so much for the support!!!
Thanks for the kind words. They are aware of the feedback from Brazil. Right now they're between record labels and hopefully their new label can make that happen. Keep spreading the word.
@thisisjustjeff; Joey, lead vocal now, was bassist for TD&A,he replaced lead vocal Jeff who walked away. Then they brought on another Jeff to do bass. They did have Pete and Kenny at one time on bass but their last line up is the same as they have now, xcept of course for what I already said. Even though they were a "bubble gum" pop band, they always seemed to stand out talent-wise compared to other bands of that sort. Now they play like seasoned and accomplised masters.
Good call. They are indeed full of variety. As well as TROK, look up some "This Day & Age, the group that was b4 TROK. May not be your kind of music but the raw talent that became Kindo is there. Something I found out, the drummer moonlights for a pop diva named Jessie James. He's on her video called "I Look So Good (Without You)." Probably does it to make a little cash on the side, but again goes to show that he, like the rest of Kindo, can do it all.
Sorry Jr, but that's not the case. Try playing the studio version and this at the same time and you'll see, or at least you should, it's not the same. Look at the timing and influctions. Now I'll say this, the audio was remixed and enhanced. That's why the quality is so much better than other recordings of that show. They did the same on the other video, ROK Song 2. You can't say that's the studio version either. It is indeed live. Just good mixing. Big bands do the same on live albums.
If you somehow haven't seen yet, the Reign of Kindo has two new videos of them playing live in the studio. They sound and look 10 times better than what I did here. Please take a look and rate/comment if you enjoy what you hear. Thanks!
@Flophole I realize you'll never read this, but really? He sings flat sometimes. That doesn't happen on the album version. Musically, though, it does, because they're amazing musicians.
hey has anyone heard of the band dredg? if you like these guys you might want to check them out they are on youtube. try looking up catch without arms, just a suggestion.
Wow. they do like 6:4 !! I like this. RoK are not restricted to Latin after all.. OK, what if the keyboard player did strings or mellotron?? I foresee RoK being prog. (Prog is not dirty, It means being musically free) D
yeah the gross was for the white stripes comment.......................................ehhhhhhh not that i have a whole lot against the white stripes. i just felt the comment was necessary
