Video title: "Can you guess sci-fi movies?" Movies in the video - post-apocalypse, horror, comedy, space opera, parody, cyberpunk, but not SCIENCE fiction. People novadays don't know what are genres and don't want to spend a few minutes to little research. This says a lot about your attitude towards your work and your audience.
Missed a few of these because I'd never even heard of them!........ I'd also question whether the original Mad Max is actually of Sci-Fi genre, I'd suggest not. In fact I'd suggest none of the Mad Max films are Sci-Fi at all.
@@nickmaclachlan5178 Well, consider that the makers of the original _Fallout_ game used the _Mad Max_ setting (the scene finding Dogmeat in _Fallout_ makes clear the original Dogmeat is supposed to be Max's dog from _The Road Warrior._ ) it does fit- _Fallout_ is post-war with The Great War triggered by resource scarcity. The sort of scarcity that was apparent in the _Mad Max_ movies.
@@quizzically post-apocalypse is a subgenre of fantasy and science fiction is a subgenre of fantasy (or fantastic or fiction, not sure how to call it properly in English). The one can't be the second. The film may contain elements of two subgenres, but Mad Max doesn't have science basis - main element of sci-fi, so it's not sci-fi. It's just post-apocalypse western.
@@quizzically I hope you googled it because that is the only way to find out unless you have a photographic or eidetic memory. 🙂 For obvious reasons we can't elaborate due to possibly getting removed by y/t censors. Cheers!
Pretty good quiz. I only got 23 and there were only a couple I had never heard of before. A lot that I missed were ones I'd seen (and even loved!)
I am glad you liked it! Thanks for watching! 😁
Let's watch another quiz on sci-fi movies ... Compliance 😊
Love it! Stay tuned! 😁
Missed 2 but kept hoping for
Zardoz.
Zardoz makes an appearance in a few of the other scifi quizzes. 😁
25 out of 30. Only because I had not seen those ones
Some movies for your Playlist. 😁
I was completely unaware that John Carpenter directed #25
It's a bit different from the horror movies. Thanks for watching! 😁
Missed five. This is a good one. Thanks Q.

Ok, I got 21, may have got number 5 if I'd paused before answer on screen. But made me realise I've never watched Abyss.
Always love giving someone ideas on new movies to watch 😁!
I got 17. Better than I usually do on these.
Excellent! Thanks for watching! 😁
I missed two this time. Great selection btw.
Great score! I am happy you liked it!:😁

I would consider any post-apocalyptic version of society to be sci-fi, but I understand your point of view. Thanks for watching! 😁
@@quizzically But the first Mad Max takes place before any apocalypse. It's societal breakdown that takes place before a full blown war?

Still a great score! Thanks for watching 😁!
Missed some really obvious ones 🤦♀️ but did pretty well. Great to see Buckaroo Banzai!
The shorter clips are trickier! 😁
@@quizzically Can’t believe I didn’t get Inception though 🙄
28/30. I must be getting better . . .
Great score!
I only missed three only because I forgot the name of one movie and two I didn’t know good I want more
Amazing score! Thanks for watching! 😁
27/30 I'm holding my average. Thank you for the quiz.
Excellent score once again! 😁 Thanks for watching!
27/30 Never seen/heard of Earth Dies Screaming or Crimes of the Future and while I've seen it, I didn't recognise the clip from Omega Man.
The second one you mentioned was an odd movie!
'Earth Dies Screaming' is available on UA-cam (or was a couple of month ago). Still got it wrong 🙂
I didn’t get #2, #14, and #15
Great score all the same! Thanks for watching! 😁
24/30
