Enjoy this complete quest through Barrel of Fun's fantastic Labyrinth pinball machine! I consider this to be one of the most challenging modern wizard modes to reach, Battle Jareth. To reach it, you must collect 13 (out of 13) Orbs by:
    - Completing all six primary modes, not just playing them (6 orbs)
    - Reach level 4 on all 3 friends (3 orbs)
    - Play Friend Multiball (1 orb)
    - Collect 3 Super Jackpots in Brickkeeper Multiball (1 orb)
    - Collect a Super Jackpot in Goblin City Multiball (1 orb)
    - Complete the 6th Wiseman Quest (1 orb)
There are no repeat orbs, and there is very little room for error.
If you enjoy this content come watch LIVE on / iepinball (and sometimes here on UA-cam!) typically Wednesdays at 6pm Pacific.

The Jareth battle music being such a 90s boss vibe is the chef's kiss! This is one of the best pinball machines ever made.

Hey Karl. Love your videos. Thanks for demonstrating such exceptional pinball play; you're inspiring.
For those of us getting started in the hobby, what would you say are the best games to practice on? What top three pins would you suggest as a first pin (preferably from the modern stern lineup)?

How modern are we talking? Like from 2000s modern or around 2020 modern?

If we're only talking about modern LCD Sterns, you can't go wrong with Elwin's games:
Jurassic Park to learn shot accuracy skills and strategic decision making. Wide variety of shots, some harder than others, others downright nasty (I'm looking at you, "O" shot!) with an incredible well balanced software package.
Iron Maiden for a somewhat more traditional layout where you can learn how to get the ball under control. Drop catching, dead bounces, and even loop passing.
Toss up on the 3rd as I think those two would cover enough skills training. Again, you can't go wrong with any Elwin. Don't rule out the game in this video though ;)
Outside of Stern, I always go back to Attack From Mars to learn flipper skills. It's a basic fan layout but the shots were designed perfectly for all the flipper skills you'd ever need. It's my #1 pick for new players, but the original and not the remake!

@@IEPinball I'm actually planning a trip to play Labyrinth on location as I don't have one in my area. Ithas looked incredibly fun on all your streams.
I was looking of Spike/Spike 2 Sterns, but I'm not ruling anything out.
I've played AFM remake, but not the original. I'm surprised there's enough of a difference to suggest the original over the remake.
I was looking at Keith Elwin's lineup and I think Avengers seems to be the most undervalued for what it is, but perhaps it's that much weaker. When you say any Elwin, that must include Jaws as well (probably a good game for shot accuracy?).
Not an Elwin, but I've found John Wick extremely fun, despite draining quickly and the incomplete code (though I can see the ruleset being too simple for a home game even after 1.0).
Also, thanks so much for the reply. It means the world coming from you.

I'd really appreciate your setting for this machine, as you seem to have the sound really dialed in, and I'm having issues with it myself

Had a question Carl how u fix the shot on jaws the reel to mini flipper if I hit it clean hit the metal guide near right ramp

    • @IEPinball
      @IEPinball  Місяць тому +1

I didn't have that issue on mine but you need to bend the metal ball guide on the left hand side slightly so it feeds the lane by the pop more reliably.
