I just noticed. This piece is like Ave Maria but in minor key, with the tiniest touch of Dies Irae. Beautiful. I think Mr Mozart would've enjoyed this piece, particularly the contrast of the major chord at the end.
I've been wondering ever since I heard this piece if ave maria was inspired by it. If its not directly influenced by it then there must be something about the chords in common that sound mournful, just like how the major christmas pop standards tend to use the Dm7b5 chord
