this is perfect! exactly what i was looking for. know of any resources that cover different tuning systems around the world a little more specifically?
Tuning systems from around the world are in the big scale archive that is linked in the description. Other than that, there are definitely resources scattered on the internet depending from where around the world the tuning systems you're interested in for information.
Would be very useful to able to change tunings in a set for live performances! As of 12.1 beta it should be possible with Max 4 live but haven't seen anyone making a tuning switcher/automator yet! I really wish tunings were editable and automatable from within Ableton! Rant finished: thanks for a great video as always!
Yes, it would be indeed. I think once Live 12.1 comes out officially, we might start seeing such Max for Live devices. Having it integrated natively would of course be even better, but that's going to take time, if they ever deem it useful.
@@sonicbloomtuts Would probably not be very difficult to make, but unfortunately I'm more producer than coder 🙂 It might be a bigger deal than Ableton think since it opens it up for users in the non western world. Arabic music uses this all the time! (and even norwegian folk music does!)
Hi, Why when I load a tuning at 423 hertz the output sound is still at 440 hertz? If I play the note E at 432, and I measure it with an external tuner it is still E at 440 hertz. Help.
Of the top of my head, you either have Bypass Turning turned on or the MIDI instrument is not MPE capable. If you have audio already in a Live Set, this will not be affected by any tuning system either. Hope this helps.
Madeleine you are a gift to the Ableton User Community 🙏
Thank you so much for the praise. 😊
Vav.. This is a amazing explanation.. So much better to understand.. All the best ..Love
Very happy to hear this. 🙂

Yes, same in Indian music, which is a massive market.

@@sonicbloomtuts Thanks so much...
I'm using analog lab 5, I think that's the problem.
@@ianometochtli I'm not familiar with this plug-in, but it's likely.
