This is true. And without an entire video with examples and context, that statement in the video would *not have been helpful. Thank you for your comment.
I'm actually looking into getting one for my friend since she loves taking photos but hates using her phone because of lighting and making sure everything is perfect for the picture. Your reviews for the unboxing and this one helped me see what comes in the box and how well the photos look for something meant to mimic a disposable one. This was helpful for me thanks :)
Thank you for the true review! Good to know about the video part. I was looking for something like a point shoot click camera or disposable camera like my childhood. Even my 2008 flip phone pictures are super cringe and I love them. I'm excited!
I feel like with them already costing $140 to $200, you might as well spend the little bit extra to get something like a used fujifilm X-M1 if you're looking for the film photo look. (I've seen them go for as low as $230, so not much more) Paper shoot is great for giving to kids, but I feel like for your average person wanting the film look on a budget it would be better to spend the little extra and have the feeling of holding something with the form factor of a film camera built with materials that last and can emulate actual film chemistry. Also, buying used is infinitely more eco friendly
I'm very pro tactile and analog. So I don't disagree with your mindset at all. I do think there's a legitimate cost to using film ongoing that needs to be added to that equation though. I keep this papershoot in my jacket pocket. Because of the form factor it's never too big to fit in there. And I use it when I don't have anything else handy (I don't carry a smartphone.) -- And for that it does a great job. To anyone reading, this in no way replaces a solid film option. Not even close!
1980 is because in 1980, the unix-timestamp was started. The unix timestamp is just a number of milliseconds since 1980. So one should set the correct timestamp in that piece of paper and there you go^^
It's very interesting and designed well, but too expensive. If they sent me one, I'd be happy to do a review on it and make more people aware of it, I'd have fun with it, but can't see myself buying one or generating much interest.
i love the fact that the pics turned out like film photos
That's definitely 'the charm' for this guy!
"the photos are great, sometimes theyre great sometimes theyre terrible" you could easily say this about ever camera ever

@@LaughingDad so you're either an arsehole or I'm missing something, if so shame because I enjoyed the video, guess I'll unsubscribe lol.
Now this is what youtube should be used for
Wow. Thank you so much, Sam!

They have an 18mp now. I’m considering them for my kids.
Great choice for kids!
Just use a good charging cable to charge them. I have found my included charging cables don't work
Good thought. I probably charge mine once a week@@mistresselevenstars5187

thank you for the video!
Thanks for watching!!
Thanks 👍
Its basically esp32 cam project.
I'm not familiar with that!
@@LaughingDad just search for "esp32 cam". You'll get better video on esp32 but PaperShoot has decent image quality for its sensor.
Love !
🤟🏻

This is like the PS by IKEA!
I do not know what that is!

Good for Action?
Not even close -- Terrible for action!

Fair enough. -- I'm waiting on the Camp Snap device which is a worthy competitor I think...
