"Steve? Y-you're alive!" I've witnessed how dementia can steal away the simple dignity of having a loved one remember from one minute to the next that you're even there. This exchange is more authentically heartbreaking for Steve Rogers than many can know. Moments like these aren't strictly necessary in a run-of-the-mill superhero/action movie. This is real pathos, earned through character arcs developed across multiple films in the franchise, and superb performances by these two actors.
At the end of Endgame he goes back and lives his life with her and now she seeing him young again! it's not dementia! She's literally confused because HER Steve is older!
@@mattmansmitty That's if Steve traveled to the past of the main universe instead of traveling to another universe and creating an alternate timeline.
Peggy: The world has changed, and none of us can go back
Steve in 2023: 😂
Is old Peggy in this scene married to Steve Rogers who has returned from endgame?
@@ariqali5868 I guess if time is fixed. But I rather like the Bioshock idea of constants and variables. Steve going back is not a constant.
Old Peggy was done with CGI
And this was done when the MCU knew how to use CGI properly
It is very obvious when you look at the eyes and the movement of the skin, but it's still very good.
👍
@@xyz2371 I wish studios hired old persons for these scenes, instead of aging a young actor with CGI and make-up.
Here, at least it looks decent... in Prometeus 44yo Guy Pearce looked disgustingly weird as a 104 yo old man
@@Espadasilenciosa The Prometheus Engineer character was even worse. It just looked like bad CGI instead of a character. Using a muppet is more convincing than bad CGI.
I’m impressed how Steve still wants to be with her after 70 years.
My wife passed 12 years ago. I would give anything to just hold her in my arms again! So I understand Steve.
Twin flames, true love lasts forever. There's nothing stronger in the universe.
Hailey Atwell did such a great job as Peggy Carter. She brought heart to the MCU,and broke our hearts while doing it.
He will see her again in the past.
Shut up bro
You got a problem with that fo?
Hits so hard this scene, it really does
That was sad but beautiful.
The sacrfice of Captain America is One of The Most Brave things that has happenned in Marvel Ever!
I could do that a thousand times, I'd probably torture my own emotions but there comes a realization that it will just be the same response and just because you love and care for someone enough. 💙
Peggy Carter Age 90s

This is wonderful. How did you include subtitles?
Just replaced video's auto-generated subtitles.
Oh, ok. But how does that work?
Subtitle Workshop
Oh, ok.

Captain America should have went on that date with Peggy Carter.

😭😭😭
So did Steve travel to a different reality where he was with Peggy, or are those images of someone else children?
That's Peggy's children with a different man. She has to live her life without him.
@Bennyy19 But in the end game, we learned Steve traveled back in time and was with Peggy. Some time did go by, but I think they found each other again in the 60's
@@tyroned114 yes that's in endgame this is winter soldier. So this was before time travep
@Bennyy19 too bad. I like the idea that Steve went back in time and kept a low profile and lived out his like woth Peggy. Knowing about how shield was being taken over by Hydra and all of that, but didn't do anything as not to mess up the timeline. Also, even though Peggy is old, she knows to still keep that secret even from young Steve.
The answer is yes, he lived in a branch, but turns out, the timeline we have been following all along IS the branch. If he was in a branch and if this was the main timeline, he should have reappeared on the quantum tunnel, not on that bench. The fact that he showed up on that bench indicates that he has been the mystery husband all along. He lived in a branch, and this IS the branch. But there has to be a beginning tho, so there IS a first timeline where there was no old man Steve to meet Sam, Bucky, and Bruce. In that first timeline, there's no old man Steve, Sam and the others just stood there, and Peggy's husband was someone else there
0:06 Wait so the children that are shown in the pictures are of her and Cap?
I don't think so. My guess is she was married at some point after WWII and had children, but that husband died or she divorced him at some point, hence he is not in the photos.
@@kentvesser9484 i looked up right now. The writers of "Avengers: Endgame" confirmed that Steve is the father of Peggy's children and that they likely have super soldier DNA.

yes
Also, if you didn't know, Jesus will fulfill you more than anything in this world, I speak from experience (from when i did Romans 10:9-13), he loves you and wants to be in a meaningful (not romantic) relationship with you. :) “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9-13 KJV “and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Mark 1:15 KJV If you want proof that Jesus and the Bible are true look a documentary called “Ron Wyatt discoveries 2022” on UA-cam and a UA-cam channel called Expedition Bible. They both examine archeological sites and discoveries that prove the Bible, and even reference secular sources. (Just don’t convert to 7th day Adventism after watching the documentary) And lastly if you don’t know the gospel and want to be saved search up “abc’s of Salvation Teenmissions” on Google and it should be the first or second result. When you click on it read the whole thing, and do what it says and have faith in Jesus while you are doing it, do not doubt, and if it is hard for you to do what it says, ask Jesus to help you, have faith that he will, and he will. God Bless :)
@@seancarter51It’s true that that’s what the writers said, but it still doesn’t make any sense with how time travel works in MCU as explained by Hulk in End Game. The only thing that makes sense is that they are her children with another man. When Steve went back he created a different branch where Peggy didn’t marry that other guy.
So when he stayed in the past and lived his life with her, he created a branched reality right? Because here we see she was originally with someone else. So how is it that he was waiting with the shield to give to Sam? Wouldn’t everyone else be in a different reality? How could they have all still met up at the end of endgame? Or did he create a branch reality and travel back to our reality as an old man?
I think it's the latter: he travelled back to the original branch, as an old man, after she died in that new branch, for instance.

It’s it’s really messed up that she had to live without him then he had to live without her

How old is she now?
And then they ruined it with the time travel bull.
Didn't care for this...didn't care for her inclusion in Endgame.
Agent Carter was an ok show, and I love her as Captain Carter in What If?...but I always felt Steve should've moved on. Maybe not with her grand-niece, or Nat...but someone.
Not because I don't believe in true love or anything like that...I don't...but that's immaterial to the issue. It's because that's just life. People come and go. You can't stop it. Things happen. Everyone changes. We all die sometime. And those who remain still have to go on. Life is ALL about change...adaptation. Some are luckily around for a really long time, but nothing lasts forever. Nothing. And how long something lasts is largely down to blind stinking luck.
Steve had all this change and growth throughout the franchise...and...then they just toss it all in a toilet and flush it so he can be with Peggy anyway. It's just stupid, and I hate it.
This has to be a last minute addition with how bad the CGI is. Truly staggering how terrible it looks.
He doesn't like woke world? Nope.
Shut up. You cry baby bitches are insufferable.
