Steelhead and Brook Trout Fishing in Michigan's Upper Peninsula

This small river was an epic fishery. The farther upstream we ascended the more native brookies we hooked into. The closer to lake, we caught some beautiful wild rainbow trout and a steelhead. This fishing trip was definitely one for the record books as it was the first and only steelhead Dustin caught in the spring of 2024.

How canoeable do you think this river is? It looked pretty nice in the video aside from the waterfalls , lol.

It would be tough to canoe. Narrow and shallow in some places. Down trees.
