I'm preparing for my exams with ur videos.........please make a video of different fungal genera's common infection cycle, epidemiology, etiology, common symptoms produced by pathogen in plants etc
First infection of that season is primary infection... Pathogen or pathogen propagule that cause PI is primary inoculum.. Further infection after PI is secondary infection.. Pathogen part or Pathogen that cause SI is secondary inoculum. For example.. Oospore cause PI . but Sporangia cause SI.
Forma specialis (plural: formae speciales), abbreviated f. sp. (plural ff. spp.) without italics, is an informal taxonomic grouping allowed by the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants, that is applied to a parasite (most frequently a fungus) which is adapted to a specific host.
Fsp is further classification within Species.. in which group of pathogen share common feature of Morphology but only can be differentiate on the basis of pathogenesis on different host.
For example.. Puccinia graminis fsp tritici infect wheat.. and Puccinia g fsp avenae affect oat.. Both pathogen looks similar but infection different host.
