Hello, recently i watched a vid from psionic that was questioning the reliability of AC10 due to mediocre quality of PCB if i remember correctly. Turns out that expert reviews and reality are often two separate things.
Since I left a slight critique I did also want to say I love the channel and content. Any chance of more ac10 based content? Or does the ac15 stuff tend to apply to ac10s as well?
Thanks for this video! My AC15C1 is a perfect amp, but I'm moving to a smaller place soon, so I've been considering picking up an AC10. They've sounded fantastic when I've played them, and I like being able to adjust the gain independently (not to mention being so much easier to carry).
Just bought myself an AC10 off ebay! Very excited. I mostly just record/play in my bedroom. I figure if I ever start gigging seriously I'll get an AC30!
I think sometimes manufacturers are trying to cover niches -the reason is obvious- by downsizing or upsizing already successful products. This is how i look at things like AC10 or AC4. I stand by the view "get the real thing". For me the real thing is an AC15 or an AC30 and if you are a bedroom player like me go get yourself an attenuator. And the fun begins...
AC15 all the way for me and I use mine at home all the time. It is a heavy mother though. Mostly use it with a Klon clone and a Boss BD2. I have found that I can get very good tones at low volume plus the build quality is far superior to the AC10.
AC10 is like a toy compared to the AC15. Internally, its night and day. AC15 works great at bedroom levels. Chop the bright cap out if its too bright at low volume. Save your money and get an amp for life.

I have enjoyed my stock AC10c1 since they first came out. Works great. No problems with it at all.

Most of the tips that I give apply across the board for Vox amps, with the exception of certain things like the original Tone Hack video.
@@TheToneLoungeAwesome. Thank you!
Try turning the bass and treble way down below 9 o’clock on the AC10C1 and cranking the gain. Turn it up loud. Makes the mids jump.
Thanks for this video!

You might be surprised at how capable that AC10 will be for gigs. ;)

If you’re just a bedroom player like me and don’t plan to jam with other musicians or do gigs just get the AC10. I love mine.
I agree with that, Initially I was set to buy an AC10.

The AC10 has some really great tones, but I do find that the design could use a revision.
Ac15 is picky with distortion pedals especially Boss DS1 and DS2. It would be cool if you could try them.
However it was made for Rats.
I intend to demo them at some point.
Very good comparison. Perfect
Yes, well the AC10 is 12 kilos, not pounds 😅.
Nice playing, straightforward and musical
Thanks Rodolph!
AC15 for the win in this demo but the AC10 is fantastic for home use.
100% agreed! Do you still have a Vox?
@@TheToneLounge absolutely. I got another AC10. It's the perfect size and sound for living room jamming.
Right on dude! I'm glad to hear you are rocking a Vox again.
I feel a bit guilty for saying even cleaning my Vox amps turns me on 😊
Nah, it's all good. 🤪

A vox ac10 is not 12 pounds. More like 27.
Yeah, this was an oversight on my part and have been been reminded of it ever since lol
@@TheToneLoungeMy apologies. I didn’t realize that.
@thedashgreen65000 no worries, it's still important to point out .
