Definitely no need to apologize for your reaction. It is genuine and understandable. Sorry some did not come back as you had hoped but glad some came back good for you! Another great informative video. Thanks for sharing with us!
Hey man thank you for sharing. Your genuine reaction shows you really care and I think it adds value and entertainment factor to the video. Keep up the good work!!
How do you film your videos? I been thinking of filming my coin unboxing. Do you use a camera, phone or camcorder or another method. I been trying to figure out how to angle it down on a table as you do. But I have not figured it out how to do it.
"Cleaned" is totally subjective. I bought an AU 50 coin in an NGC slab. I took it out and sent it for regrading. They called it cleaned. My mistake was taking it out.
Sending both the IHCs to NGC would make a good video... but based on the look of the two cents, I think PCGS got them right. The color and luster of each just didn't look natural and that should be obvious to the graders at NGC too. Compare them with lots of other graded examples and you'll see it too. Not too bad on the rest of them, love the woodgrain look on that 1909-S VDB too!
Yea you may be right on mine but I dont know I still dont agree with the questionable color call. I've had (still have) some PCGS slabs with way goofier color than that and no problems. We shall see I dont know if we'll resend them yet.
@@SilverSeeker Yeah... the "questionable color" by PCGS is something they seem to use when they can't say cleaning... I see them use it when it's a close call either way. If they really know it's been messed with they seem to used "altered surfaces" or something like that. Best of luck with it!
The 1908-S Questionable Color, if you sent that to the restoration service at PCGS, you should get an actual MS grade back. I had 1887 a few months back that graded Genuine Questionable Color - UNC Details. I had it submitted to the restoration service before it got sent back to me so I wouldn't have to pay the additional shipping and it came back MS64 PL.
I agree it would be an interesting video if you crack those 2 coins you were disappointed with and send them to NGC. You could also do a video on how to go about cracking a case without damaging the coin.

10 years ago i won a really nice '08 bust half at an action by a well known dealer. It was in a pcgs old green holder as an au-53. I latter cracked all my bust halves out to display in flips, because i was fed-up with pcgs rush job of sending half my coins back set crooked in the holders.....some were straight, some were tilled foward, it looked awful to display them .....anyway a few years latter i decided to sell some ,so i sent them back in to pcgs to be slabbed. Well, my '08 came back as "cleaned" ! I couldnt believe it. The coin had nice luster ,light toning and was PQ all the way. So it just proves how inconsistant PCGS is. I latter talked to some dealers i know about this and they told me some real horror stories about bad experiences with grading services. I sold the coin and took a big loss, but today, having a lot more experience , i would have sent it into ngc to get a rightful grade, and then maybe cross -over to pcgs when ready to sell.......???
About 9 years ago I had a $2.50 11D strong D come back with what I thought was clearly undergraded for a very nice coin. Plus the strong D was not even mentioned in the description. Maybe some of these graders have different opinions or bad days or?
I'm surprised you thought the 1834 half had a chance at coming back unc. Maybe it's because I've seen a lot of bust halves, but I could readily see the flat spots of wear on the high points, and that the luster is not unbroken. It has a nice original look, though.
You should look at unc bust halves low MS on PCGS Photograde. All those flat spots are present on uncirculated examples. It's crazy I know cause before photograde just using what I've learned over decades of doing this I would have called it AU.
That is weird, and I feel the same way, re: Photograde, etc. FWIW, I don't think PCGS would ever grade 'modern' coins like that as unc., so I wonder why the really old ones get that wiggle room.
What does it cost for then to check a coin I have quite a few coins that were my father's and I would like to get them chat and where is the best place to send them so the price of what I would cost and where to Send a dam please please comment back I've asked numerous of people and no one seems to give me The right answer thank you so very much I hope you have a good Christmas and I hope you have a good new years And a very very safe one
