The Hiperlight design has been on the market for over 30 years now. The Hiperlight kit features a welded 4130 chromoly steel fuselage, with the wings using aluminum tube and ladder construction.
Covering material for the fuselage and wings on the two seat Hiperlight is standard aircraft covering materials. Covering on the single seat Hiperlight is sewn Dacron sail cloth envelopes.

I met Ron at Oshkosh '19 and found him to be a very nice, knowledgeable man. It's great to see these unique designs still out there and so affordable to boot.
This is THE ONE ultralight I would love to fly and have. If time and fortune is my friend, I will fly one.
I think that is a neat little biplane.
Like this Hiperlight
I love my SNS8. Agile and easy. Can be a bit unforgiving on asphalt runways while at speed, so I utilize grass landings mostly.
That looks really nice.
I love my little Mosler powered SN8, but will be selling her soon.
It looks like one of the DeHavilland Moths from the 1930s! If you'd showed me this and told me it was a DeHavilland prototype for a single seat scout plane called the Fairy Moth I'd have believed you.
Yep! Its a neat little toy to play with on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. A lot of the these planes are. But too expensive for me. Im a pauper not a prince. So I just look and dream.
How does the pilot mount the sns 8 ?
It reminds me of a Beech Stagger wing.
How far can you fly these planes by law?
As an ultralight they are limited to 5 gallons of fuel - so about an 90 minutes of flight before having to refuel.
As an experimental with say 20 gallons of fuel about 5 hours.
@@ultralightnews Thanks for the info.
Who made the engine?
HKS

I Wont... I wont... i wont... wont ... i .....
I think you mean I want.... I want...
Interesting.....but, cannot hear/understand what is said. Too much other airplane sounds. Like, the name of the engine. No clue as to what the builder said!
I agree totally! What is the engine manufacturer?
He said...It has a derivative of half a vw engine.
