Got mine a few hours ago and brought it on-line. Only seeing 2 of the 3 internal boards under miner status and only getting around 500GHs. SMH...
Aghhh, that sucks! I think I have some heat sinks lose on one board. My board #3 keeps getting very hot and over heating the miner :\ It's going to be Chinese New Year, so they will be off work for 1 month. Bad time for repairs!
Thats because bitmain sells them after they use them. They are not new. My l3+ lost a hasboard as soon as I bought it.

dude you need to edit your video I set the fan speed on my A3 to 65% and now I have two fried Hashboards . . . reset the machine and the fan controls the temps perfectly without selecting custom fan speed. Now I'm screwed waiting for Bitmain support.
The video does say "do not set your fans to 65%" 3:06. I edited it before I posted it. Plus it will not fry your boards. You just need to restart the miner. Unplug it and plug it back in. I did this a few times from overheating the unit.

Hi, you monitor the profitability and hashrate at the pools you use and you can also view the miner admin area to see the temps and hashrate of the miners.

Hi, I also live in a hot climate and the summers are hard to deal with. I will be switching to a split unit this summer hopefully to deal with the heat. I will keep you posted.

Hi, yes. I am only using one power supply so it gets powered on at the same time. I think my issue is the ventilation setup. I am changing it around now. So far so good :)

Personally I wouldn't. Not sure, but, I dont think it's an option. Either way if it's possible, its still not efficient, and will likely create more heat at the wall. In my case I paid about 7 Gs on eBay.....thankfully it arrived with a bad hash board and I did return to the seller.

What do you think about overclocking?
I think I have a hard enough time running these normally. Over clocking would just make the heat harder to deal with. But if you can keep them cool enough go for it. It does void the warranty and can shorten the life of the miner too.
what does something like that go for? are there any low entry level miners?
Hi, the price of that miner was $2400. You can get the S9 miners for $2300 from Bitmain. You can try to find a S7 bitcoin miner of eBay. They are going for around $1000 and might generate around $10 per day.
You may want to consider a mining contract from Hashflare you can piece out your payments.
Here's a dumb question: do you have to use the official Sia wallet or can you have profits sent to say a Poloniex Sia wallet?
Not a dumb question :) You can use Poloniex but it's not a good idea to save your coins on exchanges. It's safer on the Sia Wallet.

I do not know, depends how the difficulty goes. Currently it would be 15 days before I get the ROI.
Difficulty has already increased by 30%+ in 20 some hours lol.
