If you need to get or make special characters, you could use the private-use unicode area. (aka, unicode font file c3-ff have no letters in them; just put your characters there) Edit: nvm; I think Minecraft is hard-coded to not use letters that don't exist in standard unicode (and also, the private-use area is actually e0xx)
Where can you actually use these private unicode characters? I tried to save a .txt file with a few symbols I draw but it all turned into "?" when I saved the file :(
I had the same problem and i was really hoping to be able to use my Symbolic language that i made custom letters for using the same software but it just appears in minecraft as square
@@grimm2447 You need to make a font that has these letters, then fool around with your computer until it uses that font. In Google, you'll have to go into settings and change the default font. It won't affect most websites but will let you use the characters in Google Docs. Should the symbol appear in a website (probably representing something unrelated) it will show up as your symbol.
On this subject, there’s a toki pona translation/sitelen pona version for 1.16.5 out there which can be found here: github.com/Mazerinth/toki-pona-translation-for-Minecraft. The language is coming as an official translation as well!
That happens to me sometimes too (only in the most recent versions though), you might have to find the original file location of the background image and manually re-insert it into the new version.
@@AgmaSchwa Thanks, that's what I thought too, but weirdly couldn't find others with the same problem. I'll update to the full version of 1.20 soon anyway and see if I still have that. Thanks for the tutorial again, this is such a fun project to work on!
I'm afraid I disagree with you, 1.8 was the last version released before the 15th of September 2014 and is therefore the superior version in my eyes! That aside, I love that you can make custom language pack, and this is pretty easy to follow. I'd say, however, that you'd probably do better to say "go to resource packs, open resource pack folder, and go up a level to get your .minecraft folder" because the %appdata% thing isn't universal to all computers.
Funny i found this, I'm currently bringing my childhood conlang into mc myself! However I'm using custom unicode characters so i can have all my funny letters. Typing in hexs is hard though

it's not working and i don't know why. i had the wrong pack number at first so maybe that somehow has something to do with it, but i've changed it to the correct pack number and it still doesn't show up in my resource pack list
Only complaint about this video: 1.12 is in no way superior. :p The latest version is always the best, it has all the things, and it is (because it is the most current version) inherently future-proof.

It depends, with pvp 1.8 is quite nice, but no elytra, etc.
