    Good video! I thought you were headed in the wrong direction with the wooden ramp at first (should've kept the plexi), but it turned out really nice! Good job!

    My late father became skilled an "emptying" these claw machines. He would fill trash bags FILLING them with dolls. We had a walk in closet with at least 4-6 trash bags jammed filled with dolls. He would give them over to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. In 1992 when Hurricane Andrew destroyed Homestead, FL. The news stations called upon the area for donations to fill an 18-wheeler truck. The lines of cars for donations ended up filled 6 18-wheelers. We gave them 6 full trash bags FILLED with dolls for the children.

    I don't think I have ever seen a cocktail style crane game before.

    Hey I just purchased a claw machine that was working . When I arrived after one or two plays it stopped dropping and grabbing . It is the exact same machine you are working on in this video . Could you suggest what I should look for on this cocktail claw to fix this problem. Since it failed it also does not return to home position . I’ve never worked on a machine like this so any information is greatly appreciated

    How much did you get yours for? I found one for free but it’s not working at the moment and like you said there’s hardly any information about them and idk anything about cranes in general lol

      Slightly more than free. I paid $550+ a gumball machine. More than I wanted to pay but, with something so rare, I had to do it.

      @@coin-opcorner wow, not sure if mines the same one cuz the design looks different from yours but it’s the same type of machine and says Lucky Crane across the top of it. I wanna say mine looks older, maybe before the company name change. It looks like the one in that video you found

      @@aalonakei Awesome, hope you can get it running. If not, be sure to put it up for sale before dumping it. Someone will want it for sure!

    Fluorescent bulbs need the neutral wire and Hot wires on BOTH SIDES, but the ballast transformer in this lucky crane didn't have the Neutral wire. So how did it wire up the florescent bulb without a neutral wire?

      @@coin-opcorner The factory wired the lucky can so that the Power Switch is turning off/on the 120vac Neutral side? It should be wired for the HOT side not the neutral side

    • @coin-opcorner
      @coin-opcorner  Рік тому

      @@waynegram8907 No, the switch turns both hot and neutral on and off. The hot wire goes to the ballast, but the neutral for the bulbs runs straight back to the neutral on the switch instead of having a neutral on the ballast.

      @waynegram8907 Рік тому

      @@coin-opcorner I thought the Ballast is suppose to have Both the hot and neutral. The florescent bulb needs both the hot and neutral so the ballast would need all both the hot and neutral.

    • @coin-opcorner
      @coin-opcorner  Рік тому

      @@waynegram8907 I thought the same, but it makes sense. You don't need to step up the neutral, just the hot voltage.

      They're actually from the Yamaha DX7- the same keyboard Michael Jackson's band used, and the one Van Halen used for "Jump".
      Most famously, it was also used in the Coin-Op Corner theme song.

    Was this video sponsored by Craftsman? Need to step your tool game up. Jk I have several power tools ranging from Ryobi to Milwaukee.
