hi guys I am really new to all this I got my first new bat and I have hit the side of the bat the part you said not to hit because it will damage the fibres I am not really worried that I have damaged a 165 pound bat. what should I do. please help. thanks
Hi! I don't have scuff tape or any bat tape on my new bat right now, I haven't oiled it and I'm thinking to knock it myself. Can you share the sequence to properly knock a bat? I already have a roll of bat tape but I haven't got any scuff tape, and I'm not planning to buy any. Hope you can advise. Thanks!
I would advice to oil the parts of the bat without any stickers don’t oil on top of the stickers, and usually 4-6 hours of knocking in, start off light then increase intensity
@@paolo_-gp8jb no problem, I bought a bat myself today and have been thinking the same things, but it is advised to use the oil first let it soak in over night then start knocking in the bat.
@@aaronbeattie2424 hey bro I need your help I just bought a GM icon 808 and it has scuff shit already do I take the stickers out and put oil or what I do I’m lost please get back if you can thanks
Hi Leo, if this is a surface crack (horizontal crack) you will be absolutely fine as these are common in cricket bats. We would advise adding an anti-scuff and some bat tape if required to reinforce.
Damn they used my old bat that broke in the video as the example 😂

Hey TauRus,
have a look at our blog where we take you through the knocking in process step by step 👉ecs.page.link/36AmY
How long is the knocking in process going to take and does it matter if your oil it first then knock it in or is it the other way around

How long to knock it
Will it leave any scuffs or marks on my bat
I started knocking in my bat and a very small crack formed, should I be worried?

I don’t have a bat mallet
You can use a quality cricket ball but not a new ball to knock in
use a old hard ball put it in a sock and do what the video showed
Wow
