Hello viewers, I am Dr. Amit Mandal and in this video I am explaining a technical topic in a lucid way.
when heat conducts through some body, it follows some well defined mathematical rule. The various parameters which effects the heat transfer rate in conduction are thermal conductivity, density, specific heat and heat generation rate. In case heat is transferring in one direction then it developes a temperature profile with the advance of heat which depends on the parameters I stated in last sentence. One dimensional heat conduction equation depicts the temperature profile with displacement of heat taking in account all the parameters which effects it .This video easily demonstrates the one dimensional heat conduction equation with its derivation.

11:42 tell me one thing that T1>T2 and Qx -Q(x+dx) should be a positive term !?but u take it Q(x+dx)-Qx =+ve why?

the partial derivatives should be normal derivatives no? ie. what are the multiple contributing factors to the differential volume distance (dx) ?

wouldnt dx only depend on the length "x"? ohh... wait. its a variable density?
