@@doomfan8603 you’re saying so as if you’ve met one, which I doubt. Besides not all yandere’s are the same some are softer versions like not killing shit and actually nice and stuff, and of course there’s the one you described as batshit crazy. Think of it like a spectrum.
@@HiddenBush64 While I never MET a yandere before, I to do studies on psychology, I know that doesn’t mean much but, I know some basic things. I do agree with you when thinking of it like a spectrum or maybe a scale between 0-10 tenth being completely mentally gone, overly obsessed, little to no empathy, and sees people as objects. I tend to think everyone as worse as they can possibly be as it helps me to stay on guard and ready to react mentally. However, I do stand with the thought that yanderes don’t like you per say and are obsessed, which I think are two similar but ultimately different. I tend to think obsession as a desire to complete/possess, like an addiction. I also tend to believe yandere mentally forms under brutal living conditions and this is why I tend to think them as mentally ill. The thing about yanderes is that obsession can make people do things horrible things and someone at 2 can go up to a 9 within a day if we use the scaling example. That is another reason I think all of them to be selfish, malicious, manipulative, impulsive, deranged, etc, etc. However, you’re correct in saying not all of them are psychos and are just a little to possessive. I guess my problem is that some people, especially from these channels or r/yandere, think that yanderes aren’t bad and just love you, making their actions justified. I want to make it clear that most yanderes they talk about (the ones who kidnap being most common)are mentally gone. Fine. This was before smart phones. New student was on meds but I didn't learn it until later. We made plans to go out. We did kiss. The day before our first date she attacked a different new girl I'd also become friends with (seriously just friends) after hours and there was some light property damage to lockers. She got transferred to a different school and we had to go no contact as part of the fallout. So yeah. Physical violence against an imaginary rival. Moral of the story is you need to really be on top of your Yandere's mental state or you will be running a big risk.
