To be honest I did remove the fingers groves and got the under cut on the trigger guard. And put Trijicon night sights all both my Glock 19 Gen 4 and my gen 3 Glock 23. And it's all I've done to both. I Usely keep my weapons stock. And add very few parts to handguns or long guns. And while to be honest I don't have any modification on peoples weapons. But unfortunately most make unnecessary modifications that affect the reliability of the weapons. To me it's a tool and practice and being consistent is what makes a good shooter. I did change the sights on my glock19 to Trijicon night sights. And good night sights came in my glock 23. On my sig320c I did change the sights because the front sight didn't light up. And ended up putting Trijicon night sights on it. All my firearms have few modifications. Mostly night sights and that's it. I tend to swallow kiss rule. Which is keeo it simple stupid. And I really don't have anything against vsime modifications. As long they don't effect the reliability of the weapon.
Yes it is the truth especially with glocks....people get real frustrated with them and dont realize that they were designed not to fail and not necessarily accuracy..would be nice for him to touch on that to his fans glocks are excellent love them but the do come with an enlarged chamber..for feeding purposes so dirty ammo and bent or just will feed it all in the field...it is designed to shoot 5" groups at 20yds which is really not bad but with a simple barrel swap you can get that down to 2 or 3 inch groups....no matter how hard alot of people practice with glocks they just never seem to grasp that fact.and think they should be able to put one on top of the other...will never happen with a barrel with that rifling and being 300th of an inch bigger than the actual casing....with a different barrel u get traditional rifling and a much tighter bore fit also..people also dont know with a standard glock...you really arent suppose to put lead through it will it work yes and most do but it voids your warranty immediately and it will build up no matter how much u clean it over time....
Thumbs up. I carry a Glock 42 (.380 ACP) & soon I start carrying my Glock 43 (9mm). The move up is not because of higher caliber but my XL hands just do not shoot the smaller G42 well (grip). More power to you Last Line Of Defense carrying the big Glock 19 everyday with all that stuff on it. I only use stock too. I only put night sights & +1 & +2 magazine plates on my G43. Remember everyone: Learn to read your surroundings. "Train yourself for situational awareness & staying away from danger. This is better that any gun ever made." -Unknown author
I like the way you milled the serrations & didn't camfer the edges like every other company does. Another good option is a Brownells slide with RMR & Front serrations.
excellent. I did a short video on what mods I prefer a month or so ago. but no where near the length or quality and I only talked about my two primary Glocks. watching yours makes me realize I really need to step up my production quality lol
The only internal modification I really like doing with my Glocks is hand polishing the internals to a mirror shine (on the surfaces that benifit from it) and putting the minus connector in it. I think training is way more important than trigger mods, but the stock Glock break tends to give me minor issues because of how clunky it is. A lighter connector and a polish job really help eliminate the plastic "clunk" you get just as the trigger breaks. It's not a huge deal, but I think it's more conducive to shooting slightly tighter groups with slightly less effort. You get a better trigger while still running OEM parts too (plus it's cheap). I've considered looking into a flat trigger shoe, but I'm leary of non OEM triggers on a carry gun. That and it's kind of a crap shoot whether or not it will defeat your drop safety. If Glock made an OEM flatter trigger I'd be all over that though.
@Sam01997 interesting. I don't doubt what your saying is true but I find it absolutely ridiculous that making an edc more efficient, and possibly more accurate, and comfortable for the user could be used against you in court. The slimy attempts to make responsible gun owners seem evil really pisses me off.
Hi! I'm not sure if I fully understand your comment, I have little to no knowledge on the spectrum of upgrades available for glocks. I have a g19. You mention a trigger mod that makes the gun slightly easier to handle, are you talking about a mod that lowers the required force for a successful trigger pull? If so, does this increase the chance of a negligent/accidental discharge? I know to keep my finger off the trigger until you are ready to destroy what you are pointing at, but with the glock not having an on board safety, in your opinion does this mod increase the chance for of a negligent/accidental discharge during normal handling like drawing and holstering the firearm? I hope my lengthy question makes sense😅 and thank you in advance if you respond! God bless.
Agree 110% on the trigger! If you want to shoot better, learn to shoot better. I have an old G22 and the trigger is so broken in and breaks absolutely perfectly. My new G19 gen4 is not quite as nice a break (it still shoots where I aim) but if I spend time on the range and get 1000k-2000k more rounds through it the trigger will be perfect and I'll have built my skill even more.
I do like having consistency in triggers. I have never had an issue with stock Glock triggers, but SSVI makes the TYR trigger which is stock internals, helps clean up the mushy feeling. I may switch my carry guns over, maybe not. But if I do one, I will do both.
I got the xc1 and was real excited about it. Love the size. Have been having some issues with it not turning on I thought It was a battery issue. Changed out the battery still nothing. put it to constant on and as I started to back the battery door out it came on left it there couple of days later same issue backed the battery door out again turned on. Also I don't like the momentary on function only. Going to be getting the APLc when my local store gets more in. The new design is a lot better. plus I like the momentary/constant on function makes one hand low light no light shooting easier.
I had two XC1's do the same thing...one would flicker for about 5 seconds then turn off. Sent that one back to surefire and received a new one 10 weeks later and the paddles seemed to be really hard to actuate. Sold that POS and I'll never get another one. The APLc seems like a nice alternative....wish Streamlight would come out with some competition for it
the paddles on the APLc are very nice has a nice texture on them and you can feel the click when you activate it. Will be selling my xc1 which sucks because I have 2 incogs and one bravo concealment holsters for it over 200 dollars down the drain plus the cost to buy new holsters
Stock Glock reliability cannot be beat! I may modify and play around with my g34 and my g40 MOS because they aren’t guns I would really CCW , that role is for my g26 and my g29 10mm. Nice video!🤩🇺🇸
Just found your channel the other day and glad I did. Thank you for this. I carry my glock 19 everyday with me. I can't appendix carry due to being a little on the heavy side but other than that i agree with all your mods and holster ideas. Thanks again brother!
FireEMT68 bigger guys can appendix carry, it just takes some time to figure out the right way for you as an individual. Sometimes it's not as comfortable as 4 o'clock carry, but I've been doing it for years and I'm 6'2" 280lbs currently.
suggestion to anyone looking for red dot optic: mos with shield low profile mount and their rms optic (or sms/jpoint for lower price point). cowitness with standard height sights, lighter, smaller, clearer window than rmr. auto brightness that always gives perfect dot.
Loving the top serrations bro Jagger works is doing my Glock 26 that way I can't wait to get it back but anyways both of them look super good I like the XC12 cuz it's flush with a 19 barrel when you're concealed carrying also a lot's got some pretty good stuff out now too that's fairly decent price and pretty good lumens too.
the negative about the grip plug is that it makes it difficult to rip out the magazine like when clearing a double feed. Personally if I ran a grip plug i'd put scallop cuts in the grip. I think the only solution with your setup is to perform a momentum bump on your thigh/knee, but not many people know about that.
Great video! Where did you get the slide work done? I'm trying to find some reputable company to do front serrations on my Glock 19, but it seems that most of the companies want to do your whole slide and put their logo on it.
I'm a subscriber but had to search for a video to stay on topic. Glad this is still up. With that said. I recently purchased a RECOVER Rail for my Gen2 Glock 19. Installed well to the weapon (almost looks stock) and I mounted a TLR1-HL also mounts well. So that mod is complete. However, the TLR mounts on the first (forward) rail of the RECOVER Rail. Won't make it to the center slot. So the switch is a bit of a stretch but manageble with repeated practice/training. But with the light a bit forward, it's tough finding a holster since most if not all G19 kydex holsters made for G19 w/TLR are for factory railed glocks. What's your recommendations for a different light source that will be more in line with current holsters offered or custom holster for my set-up? Holster preference is OWB. Thanks for your time and as always, great videos.
@last line of defense I hope you see this comment despite the video being six years old😅 But anyways you earned a new subscriber as this video was very interesting/helpful and gave me ideas for my own g19. But! The main reason I hope you see this is for a few questions I have. In your video your manipulation of the slide on your edc 19 seems very fluid. Is this solely bc of the added serrations on the front? Is it just a well lubed slide? Or am I just a weak wristed pansie? Lol I don't really struggle with my slide at all, but yours DEFINITELY looked and sounded way easier to handle than mine does. Also, I love the holster you have for it, one back up mag plus a knife holster seems like the perfect iwb holster for an edc. My question is, do you know if your holster is compatible with the PHLster Enigma? If not would you consider some custom work to make it so? I just recently moved to AZ from OR and I am not acclamating to this heat!🥵 So I pretty much always wear athletic shorts. Unfortunately these shorts cannot carry the weight of a loaded g19. Thus why the Enigma is very appealing to me being a stand alone chassis as opposed to a holster that attaches to clothing. Lastly, (I think) what is your honest opinion on your edc optic? How helpful is it for speedy target acquisition as opposed to maybe just some glow in the dark irons? Are there any cheaper alternatives that you might recommend? Any feedback you might have would be greatly appreciated! And if for whatever reason you don't want to respond via youtube comment, (some people have reasons) I am more than happy to converse through email, discord, FB or Instagram messenger. Whatever works for you. Again awesome video! And if you do find this comment, thanks in advance for any advice you may offer. I look forward to watching more of your videos. And if anyone else reading this comment has answers to my questions I would equally grateful. God bless!
How is it that the slide moves so easy, I have a 19 gen 5 and it’s pretty darn stiff. I am thinking of changing the Guide Spring to a lighter spring, will that help.
By putting that plug in the grip you lose the ability to quickly clear a double feed by ripping the. Mag out with your thumb in that cutout. My understanding is that is the purpose for that half moon cutout in the first place.
Helpful video. I'm thinking about modding out a glock 19. How do you like the Inforce? I'm trying to decide between the inforce aplc and the surefire xc1.
I would leave my Glock triggers stock, but my index fingers on both my hands are a little short and the ridges cause discomfort. I don't have that issue with Apex flat face triggers. I like to shoot 250 rounds a range visit. The Glock trigger I just can't due to the rubbing and irritation.
let me know when you start making this TDI sheaths Mike! been rocking the holster and liking it very much. I would love to add the TDI sheath to that set up! Take care.
What grip plugs do you use on your glocks? I also noticed all of your Glocks are Gen 4. Do you prefer Gen 4 over Gen 3? Enjoyed the video. I'm a newer subscriber to you, but I enjoy the quality and practicality.
When you sighted in your rmr, did u use ur carry ammo or range ammo? ... I got my RMR and im gonna wanna use it outside of edc obviously, however I want to be confident that my optic zero will be good for both. Is there a difference between switching ammo as far as optic zeroing goes?
Ever shoot a gun with a red dot? It feels like you're cheating in a way, if it can help you aim faster and have faster follow up shots then why would you NOT want that for you carry gun to potentially save your life? Ever do night training? Currently for me, its winter time and it gets dark rather soon. A weapon mounted light is better than a handheld light when you have to use it. If its dark, do you not want to see what you're shooting at? Why do you guys want to limit yourselves? I have a similar set up with a larger streamlight tlr1HL so its way bigger. I want every advantage I can get. If you guys took some training classes, you would understand...
always informative, I like your approach and level headed thinking about stuff I never really thought about when it comes to self defense, ie. the trigger mods, makes so much sense unless you plan on putting the same trigger mod on every glock you have, stock really is the way to go. honestly I don't know enough about guns to tell the difference anyway, keep up the good work! loving the holsters you made for me also!
Good stuff pal. Thinking real hard about putting an optic on my carry gun. Would you recommend the RMR over everything else? I noticed a FastFire in there too. What are your thoughts? Am also considering the Vortex Viper.
RMR is the best option for a self defense gun if you have the money for it. If it's just for plinking it doesn't really matter which optic you go with.
Thanks for the response. I actually decided on none of those options and went with the Shield RMS. We'll see how it holds up, not much long-term intel on it out there yet.
jonnyt16 Yeah the RMS looks like a really nice option as well. I didn't mention it because it's pretty new to the states compared to the other options, but I like how it co-witnesses with standard height sights!
First time I heard anyone say they run 147... I run 124 and that’s all I’ve seen so far on pewtube... the gun world like the car world, different visions
Okay-you’re about my size. I’m torn between the 43 and the 26. I know I can conceal the 43 super easily, especially since I tend to wear slimmer clothes, but sacrificing the rounds is giving me some hesitation. And I love that I could carry a G19 mag as my extra. So the question is how different is the concealment for you between the two? Do you think it’s noticeable enough to be content making the sacrifice of capacity?
The only person on UA-cam who had modded a Glock in a totally reasonable way while still gaining tangible performance. Congratulations Sir.
I usually don't like more than one Glock in a video...but for some reason I really enjoyed this......long glocks, short glocks, black glocks
KYblur2u As long as there's not many loads getting shot I don't mind several Glocks hanging around in the background.
@prod gbc lol
Did you say black cocks?
KYblur2u *cock
I really appreciate your simplicity and affinity for utility. I have the same approach to my 19 and other carry guns. Thanks for the video.
Just learn how to shoot better,... best line on UA-cam ever
To be honest I did remove the fingers groves and got the under cut on the trigger guard. And put Trijicon night sights all both my Glock 19 Gen 4 and my gen 3 Glock 23. Do you still have the very same glock 19? If so have you had any issues with it after 2 yrs?
10-4.
I'm still running your AIWB holster after almost a year. Best holster I've ever had for my 27!
I love the look of a well used pistol, looks like it’s a worker!
“My sample size is very small”.
That’s my pick up line at the bar.
I love that you tell people like it is. Tricked out gun parts aren’t going to make you shoot any better, only practice can do that.
"I like to keep my glocks stock"
*besides the slide, sights, trigger guard, grip and color*
stock *internals. ;)
Slide release
@@pseudoprodigy the modified part of the slide release is on the outside if you want to be technical
T7emonic if you want to be technical it’s a long bar that is mostly internal and has a small nub that is external.
@@pseudoprodigy really? What's the point of the bar being longer I have never modified a glock before
Literally watched the whole video upside-down and never noticed it till the end!
Everything in your video, has given me all the info I needed to upgrade my G19.
Thank you, for your video.
I just learned about the Magpul magwell, so out comes the grip plug. I also like a stock gun. Replaced the sights, and added the magwell. Done.
Mark did a few slides of my guns, great guy and now local to me in NC. I see him often.

Good vid i love g19 ive watched this like 4 times at work
The only internal modification I really like doing with my Glocks is hand polishing the internals to a mirror shine (on the surfaces that benifit from it) and putting the minus connector in it.
Love the G19 & 26! Those are close to both my setups. You make my favorite holsters! Keep up the awesome video and holster making 👍
Agree 110% on the trigger! If you want to shoot better, learn to shoot better. I have an old G22 and the trigger is so broken in and breaks absolutely perfectly. Sorry to see you with no ring brother. dosnt rain forever man.
Israel Sanchez ✨Lol.😄
Oh, they aren't together anymore? That sucks :/
Good ammo choice, I carry the same thing lol.
Same setup as well except I may have a threaded barrel :D.
I totally asked for this video! Thanks Mike
I do like having consistency in triggers. I have never had an issue with stock Glock triggers, but SSVI makes the TYR trigger which is stock internals, helps clean up the mushy feeling. I may switch my carry guns over, maybe not. But if I do one, I will do both.
Your modified glock 17 is badass!! good job
Just bought g43. Plan on summer carrying it. Will be grabbing a 19 soon.
"collect the whole set"
A funny quote from a Jim Carry movie.
Guano!
I love that 26 dude..loving that camo job👍🏾
Glock Store sales a plus 4 for the 43 making it a 10rounder. great vid
Love federal too. Have it loaded in both my .45 and 9mm Glocks
I'm gonna give the Springfield hellcat a go. It's looking promising in a smaller package.
Reason why I like johhnyglock triggers that are just cleaned up OEM triggers they feel a little better but does change a lot
26 seconds it took me to get here! Looking forward to the video

Ah, thanks!
Stock Glock reliability cannot be beat! I may modify and play around with my g34 and my g40 MOS because they aren’t guns I would really CCW , that role is for my g26 and my g29 10mm.
Nice video!🤩🇺🇸
Jon from TGC sent me here Im glad i checked it out. cool video bro i like the holster setup. Im buying a g19 soon thinking about appendix carry

Great video! Where did you get the slide work done? I'm trying to find some reputable company to do front serrations on my Glock 19, but it seems that most of the companies want to do your whole slide and put their logo on it.
Loved the EDC Glock 19. Very well done informative vid.
Used your code at Optics Planet - thanks! Love the channel.
Nice. I just got my first Glock this year.
Thats why i go with glock27. Plus 1 extension is still only 10 rounds. Considering a conversion barrel for when shtf
Wish u made the associate for glock 19 with viridian gen 2 TL with the draw activation re holster deactivation that'd be badasssss
I'm a subscriber but had to search for a video to stay on topic. Glad this is still up. With that said. I recently purchased a RECOVER Rail for my Gen2 Glock 19. Thanks for your time and as always, great videos.
clean but u should do some cosmetic mods or sum yk make it look cool
You should try the CZ if you haven't already. People are digging it just being stocked.
You should try some of the low profile magwells out there. I'm running a zev pro magwell, and agency is the next one on the list

Thanks for sharing, I have Glock gen 3 made me want to buy Glock gen 4. The gen 4 Glock just feels better in me hands

Mike, you said you don't like zev as a company, why? I had some pretty bad customer service from them. Wondering what you story was
Good stuff, wish I had all them Glocks lol. keep up the good work bro. DBG

I'm kinda late to the party, but who did the milling for your RMR? I'm finally getting into red dots on pistols and I trust your info.
let me know when you start making this TDI sheaths Mike! been rocking the holster and liking it very much. I would love to add the TDI sheath to that set up! Take care.
#Great review... "This gun has Trijicon Uhhho!" #Hilarious🤣
Awesome video man keep them up! Amazing weapons.
it's matt ogus. and what state are you in in the video?
Dude, I love you for some reason. You're just like me. I love your videos.
Love the gun and set up! You make my favorite holsters!
What grip plugs do you use on your glocks? I also noticed all of your Glocks are Gen 4. Do you prefer Gen 4 over Gen 3? Enjoyed the video. I'm a newer subscriber to you, but I enjoy the quality and practicality.
can you attach knifes like the one on yours? I have a knife just like that and I dig it
When you sighted in your rmr, did u use ur carry ammo or range ammo? ... I got my RMR and im gonna wanna use it outside of edc obviously, however I want to be confident that my optic zero will be good for both. Is there a difference between switching ammo as far as optic zeroing goes?
Nice setup 🔥 def gotta get mine like that
I like the worn out look!!
nice collection Mike
G19 is a solid gun but that is a HUGE carry setup.
Keith Richards Liver My thoughts exactly. I don't need "Bullseye" accuracy or a tac light for clearing on an EDC. Not practical IMO.
The holster setup makes quite a large cod piece.
so he's supposed to carry a little tiny gun? thats not gonna be able to handle a gun fight
EDc=/=Small nothing about it says it has to be small.
Custom holsters? I can’t find a holster for my APX with a baldr pro light attachment.
always informative, I like your approach and level headed thinking about stuff I never really thought about when it comes to self defense, ie. the trigger mods, makes so much sense unless you plan on putting the same trigger mod on every glock you have, stock really is the way to go. honestly I don't know enough about guns to tell the difference anyway, keep up the good work! loving the holsters you made for me also!
Great video I learned a lot I appreciate it on your Glock 17 what mag extension do you have on that the black one?
who did the milling on your first gun? I like the look not so flashy as other companies. what stipple tip did you use?
The most practical modifications to a defensive firearm
are moderate throat erosion and a worn trigger face.
Would love to buy one of your holsters, though I’m a lefty.
Careful on them loaded press checks, your thumb is right in front of the barrel there brother
Question w the appendix carry how to use it when driving in the car? I’m trying to figure out what’s best OSW ISW appendix carry ?
OEM Everyday
Good, informative video. How would you compare the Burris Fastfire 3 to the RMR?
How many mm did you cut in sliding barrel to fixed the trijicon optic red dot.tnx
Nice Glock collection.
If u don't mind me asking what did you use to under cut trigger guard? Thinking bout doing it but don't want the polymer to look all discolored
Do you have PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE? Or is this just an in general overall?
The advantage of less lumens is if you hit a reflective surface like a mirror or something you won't blind yourself.
What do you get for that holster setup ?? I carry Glock 19. , 17 extra clip and a TDI aswell Like the looks of that holster!! ??
First time I heard anyone say they run 147... I run 124 and that’s all I’ve seen so far on pewtube... the gun world like the car world, different visions
Okay-you’re about my size. I’m torn between the 43 and the 26. I know I can conceal the 43 super easily, especially since I tend to wear slimmer clothes, but sacrificing the rounds is giving me some hesitation. And I love that I could carry a G19 mag as my extra. So the question is how different is the concealment for you between the two? Do you think it’s noticeable enough to be content making the sacrifice of capacity?
And if you tell me to get both, I’m just gonna do it and blame you when my wife kicks me out of the house.
Patrick Murphy following this comment, I’m in the same boat also. Been debating the two for a while.
Did u do your OWN custom slide?!! It’s the perfect amount of modification while still looking stock.
