Hi all, Damian from Atoms to Astronauts here. Thanks to Liane for reviewing our notebooks - such a great video and I'm delighted you like it, Liane. If anyone has any questions about our company or notebooks, fire away! Damian
If you do decide to make a gardening journal you might enjoy DeAtramentis rhubarb scented ink. The scent is very subtle and not what I expected but it is a pretty green ink like the leaves of a rhubarb plant. Happy gardening!
Very lovely design. I would love to have one as a daily journal. I personally don't like the cream paper as I feel it denatures some colors with blue undertones. I'm surprise with the bleed through of your tomoe paper, is your paper defective to bleed so much?
The journal isn't a watercolor notebook, though I think it would tolerate watercolor well, as much as a Hobonichi. I anticipate the pages to warp a bit when playing with watercolors.
Is it OK for Tomoe paper to bleed this much? It's not a cheap paper and yet, it bleeds so much (for these 3 inks I mean). And one more Q, which one displays the true color of the ink better: White paper or Ivory paper?
I think it is totally okay, considering the amount of ink I put on the paper. Bleedthrough is to be expected. Aside from the ink swatch, the writing samples are pristine, no bleedthrough. I think white paper will display the "true" color of the ink, though the cream colored papers created by Midori and Atoms also make the inks gleam.
@@lianelikes Thnaks for the answer. My point was, there was the same amount of ink on the Atoms notebook, yet it displayed better performance. So, why should I go for the more expensive TR paper when there is a cheaper alternative which is also better in performance?
Tomoe river paper is very light, which allows for a lot of pages in notebooks without much bulk. A lot of people appreciate that, but others like sturdier paper. I think it’s totally up to personal preference. These notebooks here look lovely btw!!! 😍
my "day jobs" are engineer and scientist so I love the designs... this brand feels like it is the UK version of Cognitive Surplus out of Portland OR- who I LOVE for their engineering notebooks and really cute glassware. I don't think they have any fp friendly paper though - Thanks for showcasing this notebook, looks great!

The Atoms paper brings out the shading AMAZINGLY 😍😍😍 possibly the best I have seen in non Japanese paper so far. And the cream colour is lovely 🥹
Great video. Fun themes for a notebook and looks like great paper.
Very enjoyable and calming video :) I love the design of this notebook and the paper seems to perform well! Thanks for sharing 💕
I like the Neuroscience and Anatomy notebooks. Thank you for sharing.
thank you for saying so!
This is the first I have heard of this brand. Thank you.
Gorgeous notebook ❤
It really is!

thank you! That's great you love the design
Totally not defective, it’s to be expected with how much ink I laid down on the paper! With normal writing, there is absolutely no bleed through.
Really nice video. Can I ask where you got that cover for your Hobonichi notebook?
It’s a Midori A5 paper cover!
@@lianelikes thanks a lot.
How does the Atoms to Astronauts journal handle watercolor paint?

Oh, I haven't heard of Cognitive Surplus, I'll check them out!
The music was so loud in comparison to your voice that I found it difficult to hear you.
Congratulations on a nice notebook.
Thanks for the feedback!
