I lived in Englewood November 2014 to January 2016. Short time. But Englewood was one of the only good positive memories of my life. The first place I ever considered home or a hometown.
I could envision myself living in Englewood again in the future. I lived there November 2014 to January 2016. It was the only good memory and good part of my life. So if I wouldn't have a problem living there once again in the future
I love that you started with Grand Ave! In 00:02, I saw the Englewood Child Care Center sign (right under the spa sign). My mom was the founder and director of that daycare, she worked really hard to make it happen. It was only around for about two years before we shut down for good due to the COVID19 pandemic. It's still nice to see the sign up there though, it warmed my heart when I saw it here too. Great video, love Englewood!
Wow! New Jersey gets such a bad rep, but you show how nice and beautiful it is! It reminds me near my hometown downtown Evanston where Northwestern University is.
What a lovely town. Great walking tour. Felt like I’m really there walking with you guys. Fully watched and liked 19👍 I sub and hit the bell as well. Keep it up. See you around.
I remember Englewood, a gem hidden in plain sight. I used to live there for sometime, but currently I am living in Florida. @14:24 that is Williams St. right? I remember going into Williams St, there was a very old fire station, do you happen to know if that fire station is still there and/or in operation? Once I can I plan to to revisit. I was also looking in the video to see if the Englewood hospital building was seen, which I remenber that it could be seen from some parts of Palisades ave. EH used to also give me some creeps because there is a large cemetery adjacent or next to it
What camera do you use? How do you mount the camera? Clear picture! Alway looking to learn from other UA-camrs. I hit your red button. I do some walking videos too.
Hello :) Thank you for watching and comment! I am using GoPro9, and use official GoPro hand grip mount, please let me know if you have any other questions!
If you look at photographs of downtown areas in the U.S., from the 1920's through the 1990's, they are architecturally 'interesting'. Unique stores, signage, and whatnot. A bakery with a large neon sign shaped like a cake and things like that. I have distinct memories of the store windows from, "back in the day". Someone from that state could tell exactly what city or town it was. Fast forward to the late 1990's to the present. Everything looks damn near the same. No "sense of place". Overwhelmingly, any newer buildings are cookie cutter structures. Same chain stores and restaurants (McDonalds, Starbucks, Whole Foods, Dunkin Donuts, Bank of America, etc. etc.). Bland signage, bland store window displays. Outside of major cities, one town looks pretty much like the next. Never been to Englewood, but the only thing that really caught my eye, is that gothic-looking building that the Bank of America is in. I'm sure there's some interesting history to that building. Off the top of my head, I cannot recall a unique/interesting looking downtown that I've been to in the last decade or so. Maybe Easton, PA.
