- Shugendō wolves are tied to the mystical practices of Shugendō, a Japanese spiritual tradition rooted in mountain worship, asceticism, and the belief in nature's sacredness. In this belief system, wolves, often regarded as messengers or guardians of the mountains, play a significant role. They are seen as protectors of sacred lands, guiding practitioners (yamabushi) who undergo rigorous ascetic training in the wilderness to achieve spiritual enlightenment.
The wolves symbolize both physical guardianship and spiritual guidance, embodying the balance of nature and human connection to the divine. In Japanese folklore, wolves are sometimes depicted as emissaries of deities, especially associated with mountain gods like Ōkami (Great Wolf), and they were believed to protect travelers and sacred sites. Some shrines, like the Mitsumine Shrine in Saitama, are dedicated to wolf deities.
Although wolves are now extinct in Japan, their spiritual legacy endures in folklore, rituals, and stories, emphasizing their role as sacred beings and guardians of the natural world in Shugendō practices.
I just stumbled on this channel and watched a lot of the music. I wanted to say I think the actual music is really solid, and this isn't even to say the lyrics are terrible or anything like that, but you should try to write less literal lyrics. Paint a picture with your words instead of having them frame everything so rigidly. Some of it is really solid and other parts I feel like you could capture a vibe more with words instead of just telling me what the thing is that the song is about if that makes any sense. Keep it up man, I'm sure a lot of people would dig this kind of thing. Good luck with the music homie.
Thanks for the comment. I understand what you're saying and I will try in later music to incorporate something like that and see what happens. Hopefully something good 😅 Thanks again.
@@darkwolfheart No problem man, keep making music!
