In this video, we test one simulation seed with 4 different rules. We see some main characteristics of the tested rules as well as interesting geometry rising from simple initial conditions. Get your copy of the Conway's Game of Life 3D simulation via the links above!
Finally gave this game a bit more depth
i hate you
Lol
I was just about to start making conway's 3D Game, then fo8nd this. Im relieved In not the only one wanting a 3d version
Next up: Conways game of life in 4D
I have already done this! See the channel videos for 4D content.
I thought of the concept of 3d conway, so I searched for it to find this video, and didn't expect a finnish guy explaining this.
That first one couldn't decide if it was a Borg Cube or Borg Sphere.
This some how feels like the best visualization of the big bang and the cycles our universe goes through when phasing into a new bang.
Just found the channel and i have to say.
You're gonna be famous.
The channel is gonna blow up.
And I'm impressed it didn't before, all of this is so so so good most people on the platform will enjoy this content.
I mean seriously 55 people know of this channel?
For me this is a ticking bomb of success.
And i wanna say congratulations
It will now. Nice vids!
yes
Agreed. One possibility is an unintentional asmr channel shoutout
Why do you only have 200 subscribers? Hopefuly in a few months you'll get a thousand.
This video and channel needs more likes and subscribers! I'm game!
Yay in 3space I tell you it's way better in 3space.
Can we change the rules?
Have like to colored squares, and rules of survival one color depending on the other
In the app, the simulation rules are global, meaning that they are the same for each cell in the simulation. You can choose whether the cell survives, gets born or dies for each possible neighbor count. There are some extra settings, which modify the behavior of the simulation. See the settings panel (top center) for more details.
here before the algorithm blows this up
Could this be the proof that we live in a simulated universe?
I would not go as far to say it's proof for that. What I can say is that there are several relatively simple systems which can be used to emulate any computer program. The universe could be ran on these kinds of systems given that there is no physics in the universe which is beyond computation.
gonna blow soon enough.
real soon.
I created these by hand for the past 5 years, and just found about John Conway yesterday. Don't need a program to tell me what I know. Enjoy your success, nonetheless. It is beautiful.
Congrats for doing the same thing decades later and in the least efficient manner possible then I guess?
@@c0conuts Some people build great pyramids, and some people build cheaper imitation pyramids. How I got to my conclusion had no relation to theirs aside from pure math. What I made up for in inefficiency I learned in the intricacy of each line placed, and why they belong together. Recreational Math and cellular automata is cute... but I have greater plans for these 'visual games.' Back to the grind, I guess.
@@FJesters Hopefully your plans have been experiencing some progress. Would love an update!
@@FJesters Update?
why do you explain everything we can see ourselves?
This video was…seedsational!
