Great Medic Kit(s) David, ...cool and very important! ...thanks for the video and the good details in the description. Stay well and healthy my friend. Blessings, Sepp
Thanks for sharing, Dave. Great vid as usual. That's a really good kit, and what would need to be filled in with that is minimal. It's nice that there's room left to add other things. I love the bag, and you're right. The bag itself is worth the purchase price. I do have a really complete med kit I made, and since it'll go in my backpack I'd put it in a zip lock bag to keep it waterproof...then into another nylon sack to go into the BP. But this is really good, and I just might make that change.
a good suggestion - i started keeping a little tube of orajel or something like that in my first aid kit not long ago. also, not sure if anyone mentioned, but a few feet of surgical tubing is always a good idea, for tourniquet or the like, and bc it's very multi purpose.
I agree that you must have a 1st aid kit. I cut my finger pretty bad in my backyard, but I hate to think what I would have done if I was out in the bush.
Yes.. we carry cayenne EVERYWHERE.. In our car, in all of our main kits, etc. We use it all the time. It has many other medicinal uses besides stopping bleeding as well. It's almost a miracle
Not the best solution by a stretch is getting a European style car first aid box... Takes up one of my backpacks side compartments, but he... I can at least help myself in a (good) number of situation... Really knowing what's in the kit is also important. Always good to know what you might be able to do with the kit, where it is lacking and what knowledge you need to be able to get the most out of your kit...
Something I include which seems to be overlooked in most kits. Toothache medicine. Theres not many things worse than a toothache when you are far from any help (figuratively speaking of course).
Haven't heard the 3 seconds rule before in the "rules of 3". I have heard minutes, hours, days, and weeks. Not sure I know what that means. In boy scouts, I was always taught that arterial bleeding was first priority, even over a patient not breathing. /// Maybe you can clear this up. I recently read that injury was the leading cause of death in the bush, but a lot of youtubers claim exposure is, whether heat or cold. What say you?

Thank you for the great review!
Great vid! I have been building First Aid Kits for our vehicles and for our backpacks, so I appreciate all this information! Thanks for sharing!
Nice kit. I might just pick one of those up.

I really need a fak, thanks for the reminder friend!!
Yes.. I think they would withold water..
3 seconds no blood, 3 minutes no air.. Priorities are all important. A severed artery trumps cold weather every time :)
Sounds stupid but i always forget to update old items, also good to have day 2 day back up meds

Are the sterile paper packaged components water proof? or should they be bagged to prevent contamination from water?
