Goodbye, Apple Watch Ultra! 🥹 Garmin Epix ✨ 6 Months Review
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 чер 2024
- It's been just over 6 months since I first tried the Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2. This was after one kind viewer (you know who you are!) let me borrow his Garmin Fenix! I've never looked back really. Well, I did. I will be honest, I did try Apple Watch Ultra again, when the iPhone 15 Pro Max came out. Sadly, the original issues I had with the Apple Watch Ultra were still there. But credit where it's due, I think Garmin are doing a lot of great things with these watches and I can't wait to see what they will bring in the future!

Honestly didn't think I'd still be wearing the Garmin 6 months later, definitely surprised me, given how much I liked the AWU. Wishing you a lovely Christmas if you celebrate it ✨🎄 A couple more videos to come this year still! Hope you like this one 🙌🏼
Hi..What a edition? Slate steel?
Suggested Correction - It's Epix Gen 2 Standard Edition Stainless Steel, not pro.
one of the best descriptions for Garmin watch smart and fast, thanks
Always enjoy these videos when you've spent an extended period testing and comparing rival products.
Thank you Alex.
Thanks so much Cheekster! Glad you enjoyed it and yes, that was exactly what I am aiming to achieve, as a lot of videos out there only cover the product when it's brand new. Have a great rest of the week mate!
Good perspective! I'm in a similar boat - love the AWU, but it's lacking in a lot of fitness/wellness based features.
Your Videos are positive, delightful, beautiful to watch and…above all…genuine!! ❤️
Thank you so much, you are very kind 🙏🏼
I have the 7x Pro and absolutely love it. The one month battery life by itself is something I don’t think I could give up. Great video!
Totally agree Austin! I am thinking of getting one of those bad boys next!
Nothing compares to a Garmin. I love my Fenix 7x solar.
Hi great honest video thanks! How have you found the sleep tracking and heart rate tracking long term? 🤔
I have had an Epix watch since last March and It still feels new. Garmin has been putting out some great FW updates too. I'm still finding new things and just love messing with it and connect. I have not not missed a workout or been under my acute load since the day I received it. I still use a Garmin HRM chest strap on all runs. Probably one of the best purchases I have made. I had the Epix 2 47mm and the battery was great. I have the 51mm Pro now and the battery is awesome. I use Garmin pay too, but people do complain about their bank not being supported. O and the flashlight. Yep.. that flashlight.
You should be able to adjust the low battery alert. I can on 15.76 FW. Not that I have needed it. The Pro charges so fast. Charge once a week during a shower and it's more than good.
Yeah I think the fw updates helped with my screen sensitivity on water. Someone else mentioned about the battery alert, need to try that, thanks! Good shout on the HRM strap, I forgot those exist! used to have one, many moons ago. Have a great one, will make sure to do another video early next year on how I am getting on
Thanks as always Alex great content 😎👍
Glad you enjoyed it Mary!! Hop eyou have a lovely Christmas 🎄🥰
You nailed it. The exact same three main reasons I went from my AW to the Garmin and I’m so happy I did. *And yes, I have the same slow/update heart-rate issue.
Thanks for sharing David! I am glad I am not alone on that! But no regrets really, will save up and go for a beefier one next time and hopefully it will have a better sensor for heart rate monitoring. have a great one!
Garmin metrics are WRONG!
Thanks for sharing! 👍🏻
Just a quick comment:
Low battery alerts can be customized under Settings. From 5 down to 1 day of battery remaining, I believe.
And.. You can always sync Spotify on your Epix - Just share wifi on your phone, connect your Epix to that wifi network and you are able to sync Spotify on the fly 🤷🏻♂️☺️
You nailed it. I moved away from AW to Garmin Epix 2 a while ago. Can't see myself going back.
I've had a Garmin for years and it never lets me down. As it's a much older model the battery life is only 3 or 4 days (don't wear a watch at night so it would be much less if I did sleep tracking) but it records my walks (my exercise method - shot knees mean no running anymore) and as I have an Android as my primary phone it works well enough as a smart phone. I think if you don't have an iPhone then this is the way to go. Get a newer one than mine though. :)
Really enjoyed your channel this year. Thanks so much. Happy Christmas.
Oh thanks so much, you're always so kind and supportive! Agree with you, even for iPhone users, there's a case for a Garmin if they care more about fitness/health tracking than smartwatch features. Thanks so much again 🙏🏼 Have a lovely Christmas too!
I bought my Epix Pro Gen 2 because of your recommendation. I couldn't agree with you more. I love my new watch!
I use curve and revolut for Garmin pay. Never fails.
I ended up selling my AWU for the Fenix 7X. Only thing I miss is the cellular, but it’s not a biggie. Good video mate.
Cheers Mark, appreciate it mate! Will consider setting Curve up, as I do have a card with them! have a good one!
great video very good picture quality and great sound 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you so much ☺️
Great review. Spot on. Agree.
I plan on getting the epix 2 gen pro.
I have to say this is a very nice "Fitness Watch" I bought the Epix 2 pro 51mm sapphire. I did however return it after 2 days, the issue is as a Ultra2 and GW6 classic user the Garmin is just not really in the same class as the previously mentioned premium smartwatches relative to "Smartwatch" functionality. It excels at the fitness aspect however. I just found it a hard sell at over 1000.00 to feel like the smart functions were just an afterthought. I really wish it had worked out because I was in love with the look and feel of the epix and you sure can't beat the battery life. At the end of the day you just have to measure what your priorities are for a connected watch and for me, the "Smart" functions were infinitely more important.
If Garmin wants to hit the ball out of the park, they need call capability and text capability. That would be a game changer. Garmin does not need golf courses vs phone and text.
which model of garmin is this?
The AW is a great smart watch with some cool sports features and the Garmin is a great sports watch with some cool smart watch features
Also Barclays didn’t used to support android pay I think they hold back on a security basis
As always Alex a well put together well thought out video. I currently don't wear a watch I stopped wearing watches when I got the iPhone 5 Way back lol, but I can tell you in our aircraft there's more Garmin equipment in our cockpit then Apple😉 except for iPads on a pilots lap. Very useful tools 🛩️Just a little humor. both are good products I just have no interest in wearing a watch these days. I want to take a moment and wish you and your family a happy and merry Christmas. Blessings to you from Don and Janine🎄🌴🎶🙏
Thanks so much Don! Yes, Garmin and aviation go hand in glove right? And same to you Don, wish you and your family a lovely Christmas, Say hi to Janine and hope you have a brilliant 2024 too!
great comments. Android users interact Garmin better than iOS for sure.
Updated to have inline images
You hit the points, it's a fitness watch first.
Really is what you want/need.
Although the best feature I love is the flashlight on the Fenix 7, the new Epix Pro has it on all sizes too.
Also you commented about notification on battery level
Under Power Manager > Battery Saver > Low Battery Alert you can customize when to notify you.
Thank you so much, yeah I think this is really focused on fitness first - will have to try that notification on battery, thank you for that!!
If you want to take call Garmin has the Venu. I personally have the Garmin Forerunner 965 it’s super nice lots of potential for almost anything active. Seriously even golf maps. I’m a Chef so I need something strong rugged. Super nice not to worry about battery life for 2 weeks easy.
Thanks for the tip on that Venu! Yes the battery on Garmin is incredible. I hope they keep bringing more software features because the watches themselves are solid!
I have both epix pro and AWU2 and I am about to sell the epix . All you said ibout the sport ecosystem and the battery life is totally correct but the AWU2 with the correct apps for me is more accurate than the Garmin, at least for what I tested so far, I love the integration with Stryd for running and I love the smart watch features that in Garmin does not shine or even exist. A world of preferences, I like both and I love Apple Watch.
AWU 1 or 2 is better imho too, with athletic and work outdoors I also use a couple more. I rock them both 1 on each wrist the awu 1 and the epix pro gen 2 white sapphire
I left my Samsung watch in 2020 and went to a Garmin fenix 6 Pro, and I'm not sure I'll ever leave Garmin. The fenix is honestly "too much" watch for me (I'll never use half the things it can do), but tracking my walking, hiking, biking, running, sleep, heart rate, weight lifting, etc, plus having maps and 'in the woods for a week' quality GPS all on my wrist, freeing up my phone, on a watch I only need to charge every 10-12 days is just worth any trade off of it not being a "smart watch" first.
My favorite feature is that Garmin doesn’t depend on apps or phone to be fully functional. I like the fact that I don’t have to use the Garmin app unless I want to. Also, the golf feature on the 7X and similar models makes golf GPS totally unnecessary. Bottomline - it functions well as a standalone watch. I wouldn’t want to do phone features on a tiny screen anyway.
100% agree, I love how it just gets on with it without "needing" the phone to work. To be honest I do enjoy the quick reply to messages or even take a call when needed on the AWU, but the benefits on the Garmin outweight those features for me
Love my Epix2 (titanium and zafire)
Battery last 2 weeks
Is built like a tank
I agree n i also completely stopped using Apple Watch Ultra. Using Garmin epix pro and it’s fantastic.
I enjoyed the video and I also love Garmin’s, but the Apple Watch provides a lot of my needs. It really depends what you want.
Good review. I stayed at the Apple Watch Ultra 2. I tested the forerunner and the Epix ... I think they have to improve on UI/UX. Its still a bit laggy and not so smooth. The music controls are not quickly accessable on the garmins like I have it on the Apple Watch. The App and the Analytics from Garmin is awesome but here is the reason why I ended up with apple. You have big market place on 3rd Party apps which are fantastic. I use Athletyc, Sleeptracking and Workoutdoors. I do have more Analytics then I need. I have my superieur spotify app and quick accessable controls. Yes the battery life 2 to 3days ... thats a hard cut but ok for me since I am charging all 2 days. I do Triathlon training and the auto-transition works very well.
But you said it right ... the Apple Watch is a Smart Watch ... the Garmins are Sport Watches
I wish Garmin had better LTE/mobile connectivity features. I only keep my Apple Watch Ultra because I can take calls and send text messages off it when I leave my phone at home.
I have a Garmin 55 which has a V3 sensor inside, I've noticed that it takes almost one minute to understand the speed variation when I ran, sometimes even the heartbeat variation is detected very slowly. I though an high-end Epix Pro with V5 sensor didn't have such a problem
Yes, it's definitely faster on this but not as fast as the AWU. I may have said Pro, but this is the Epix Gen 2, not the Pro which does have a different sensor. Their naming convention drives me nuts 😆 but I will try the Pro as well as that aspect of heart rate monitoring if works well will stop me buying one of those chest strap ones...
@@AlexGTech it would be very useful for us, thank you
in the settings, you can change "remaining day" to % battery, and if you have 20%, you will see a low battery message :)
I am a Fenix 7 fanboy but I would say on heart rate, if you run, bike, swim vaguely seriously then use a chest strap for heart rate.
On Garmin pay I am with Barclays so that is a frustration for me but I have simply opened a Starling account and added that. Works a treat!
Interesting video thanks Alex. As others have mentioned I use Curve with Garmin Pay in the UK, works great! As it's a proxy card every bank can work through it - perfect. I see you have the Gen2 Gorilla Glass version. How is the screen holding up? Cheers
Great tip on Curve! I've had Curve for a while but never really used it. This is awesome! Durability overall is fantastic. I was nervous about this being the "standard"and not titanium or saphire and it's holding up great! (And I do bash it on doors, brush past walls, etc.) no issues whatsoever
@@AlexGTech I wish they offered Steel bezel with Sapphire as I find steel more robust than the Titanium which is softer so more susceptible to dings and scratches.
hadn't thought of that! Yeah that would be a nice combo!
The best thing about Garmin is its sports health cohesiveness. And it’s all free. Your heart rate issue may be because of the Watch being heavy and bouncing more on your wrist. My FR955 has damn accurate heart rate. But it is lightweight. I’m not loyal to any brand. Just buy what works for me. Those buttons worked well on my snowy run today where I had to wear thick gloves.
I loved my Garmin Epix (gen 2) until I went for a swim at the beach. Just normal swimming at the beach and the ‘back’ button stopped working. After turning it off and on again it was stucked at ‘Reset to Default Settings: Yes or No’.
After contacting Garmin support and a few diagnostic steps, turned out the button is stuck. I had to send the watch back to Garmin and confirmed that they will send a new one.
Now I’m back to my Apple Watch Ultra and not sure whether I’ll use Garmin watch again.
I swim a few times with Ultra but never had the issue.
I agree with all the positives mentioned for Garmin Epix though.
Great review. Like you I have both watches. My mistake was buying the Apple Watch FIRST. If I’d bought the Garmin first? I would never have bought the Apple Watch.
haha I know exactly the feeling! I was tempted by the AWU2 but when they showed the battery specs I was like.. .nah!
Not the right watch.. the epix pro gen 2 has the new Hr sensor … no?
Im using Epix2 more than a year now.. Revolut, wise, curve - works with Garmin pay easily. Santander is the only "big" bank which support..
is there any flagship store for garmin here in london
Not sure to be honest, I think the outdoor stores like Cotswold / Blacks may stock them but not 100% sure
I totally agree with what you said in the video. I got a fenix 7 now, and im sold. I find that apple is starting to fall behind with all the third party apps you have to download, and of course the battery life. Okay you get 2 or 3 days with the ultra. But compared with the garmin, garmin is miles ahead in my opinion. And also now i have a feeling that im not always connected to the world somehow by just using my iPhone. Which is nice 😄 And in terms of paying, i still have Apple Pay on my phone so i can still pay for things that way. Its not all lost 😂
@Russel Hutchison - Saw your comment on the live chat but couldn't respond there. But I agree with you, the battery on the AWU does need to improve in my opinion. I think 3 days would be a decent sweetspot for me.
well done for washing your hands. classic. I can't stand that stuff either. I just want the necessary not the bloat. I was even thinking of 'downgrading' to a g shock just for time, date, ruggedness. I am bored of tracking my athletics. I never tracked it as a kid, I will still perform just as well by feel instead of looking at my watch. I was almost sucked in my the tactix with the map features but then again I could just use a bigger screen (phone) to do the same for much cheaper.
Hey Alex great video…I will say that I believe you have the Epix gen 2 and not the pro. The pro does have an updated heart rate sensor so perhaps better heart rate tracking.
Thanks David! I didn't know that, will definitely check that out as I don't see myself moving away from Garmin any time soon!
@@AlexGTech the PRO ist very much recommended alex (if you don´t care to spend a few more bucks). The new Elevate sensor is indeed even better, the fenix pro has a bigger solar ring and a better MIP display (better visibility) etc.
Eu adquiri recentemente um Fênix 7 PRO Solar, a duração da bateria mais as métricas de corrida, ciclismo e natação são incomparáveis e tudo isso sem aplicativos de terceiros.
Is the UI really as laggy as it looks on video? I love the sleek smooth UI of the Apple Watches but the Epix is a OLED?
I use quite a bit of slow motion (25% speed) in the clips but if you share the timestamp where you noticed it, I can confirm for sure
What kind of lag are you talking about? 👀
@@Wh0CaresAnyway 2:32 when swiping. Know it's not a massive thing, but this thing is not even close to cheap and also not even close to having the butter smooth interface even the low end Apple Watch SE has.
...***fu** the Ecosystem 😂😂🎉. Yess Alex you nailed it. I use a withings hybrid Watch. The Scanwatch but Garmin seems to have nice "gear and Tech" 😜 too.❤ Thx for another great review with your own opinion 👍
Haha glad you liked that! Thank you for the compliment! I should give the withings hybrid a go!
Couldn’t agree more! Over the years I’ve gone back and forth between Apple Watch and Garmins. I always end up back with the Garmin on my wrist. The Epix Pro 2 has sealed the deal, I won’t wear the Ultra anymore because it’s so great.
Right?! I am totally a convert now. Loving it
Merci !
My pleasure!!
The question, the big question here is the following: which one makes you a better and healthier individual? for entertainment we have phones and tablets, but for health and sports we just have the watch, so we better pick the right one.
I want to get the epic but can only get 4 hundred for ultra 2 😂I messed up
I have the epix 2 and bought the AWU 2 . Only had the AWU 2 a week but I’m torn between the two at present. Will the give the AWU 2 a month and if not up to scratch I will sell it
Tricky one right? I think they are both excellent in their own ways, but if you're not really wedded to the Apple ecosystem, it's hard to justify. I like to use it evey now and then but my go-to is the Garmin now, 9 times out of 10
@@AlexGTech My tech is Apple ie phone.iPad.air pods but the garmin has all the data in one hit . So will decide soon but if I keep the AWU . I will not sell garmin and use as a backup
I think that was my realisation too, at the weekends when I am not that active, I quite like to use the AWU
I love epix pro :
1-battery 31day
2-design
3-personal couching
4-flash light
5-works with ios and android
6-and finally support ecg and naps
And more…
I always forget to mention the flash light 🤣 So good! Also, I forgot I recorded a clip of me talking about durability, even though this is the "standard" Pro not the Titatnium, it's still looking brand new!
the battery differences are the key for me. I've had multiple Android smart watches and put them all aside when i got the Garmin Instinct. it was cheaper than the Samsung options and the 7-8 day battery life more than made up for the lack of Smart functions. I still get notifications as thats what i mainly use the "Smart" part for but a watch that has barely more than 24 hours is useless for sleep tracking as thats when most of us charge thing is while we are sleeping. I think the current top of the line Garmin products are ridiculously over priced like everyones premier product lines, but you can get really deep discounts on last years models or even 2 years back. I just got a Fenix 6X Pro Solar (what a mouthfull) for $323 still a lot of $$ for a watch but it gets 21days of battery life and is probably unkillable when i get outside more
Absolutely... that Fenix is a beast!!! I do hope Garmin finds a way of keeping bringing features without making the price go too high - like you said, it's already pretty pricey
I have AWU and Fenix 5 and I love both but if Garmin would allow dictation and reply for message I wouldn’t even consider ever switching back to my AWU.
The Epix is a good device. But damn it feels cheap compared to the Ultra. User interface is slow as well in comparison. Still using the garmin but think I’ll swap it out for something more premium sooner rather than later.
After switching from Garmin to Apple due to the resilience promised by the Apple Watch Ultra, I encountered a disappointing issue with the heart rate sensor malfunctioning just a few months post the expiration of its standard warranty. This problem is particularly concerning given the watch's marketing as a durable device for intensive outdoor activities. I had anticipated that the Apple Watch Ultra would offer unmatched reliability for my needs, and this experience has led me to reassess my expectations from Apple. I am now reaching out to Apple Support in hopes of finding a resolution to this issue, despite the warranty period having ended, expecting that the quality and customer service associated with Apple will provide a satisfactory resolution.
that sthe same for me thats all i need sleep battery fitness
Hi Alex, in the UK, Garmin Pay works with most banks / cards either directly or via Curve card.
Same exact situation as me. Thank you for the conformation bias :)
What I looked for in a sports watch has changed drastically. I am a garmin fan but recently picked up sailing again and I am fishing more and I just enjoy a lot of the apps for Apple Watch. You also get the same metrics for sailing the garmin gives you unless autopilot/routing on your watch with a boat garmin system is important to you but I am not really a fan of leaving the helm to the point I would need it on my watch. So I’m torn between the Apple Watch and a new garmin. However, I do really like the buttons on garmin.
Perfect solution: wear both. On my left wrist: AWU. On my right wrist: Fenix 7X. 😉
I want to swap to garmin so much, but the sleep tracking isn’t as accurate as well as the heart rate tracker, especially during interval type training or the gym.
Totally agree, I am cool with the sleep tracking as it gives me enough insights to act upon, but the heart rate accuracy needs work for sure. I hear if I got the Pro version of this it would be more accurate, so will check on that!
@@AlexGTechFrom what I gather, you need to use HRM strap during the physical activities with Garmin, that should solve the problem. (I'm currently still with AW)
Apple Watch Ultra 🔥🔥
It's a great watch for sure, depending on the needs. I really loved it for a while, just wish the battery was a bit better
As long as I LOVE so much my Iphone 15,apple watch ultra2,airpods max i don’t care about other brand!…Im happy, contented and live with Apple ecosystem!….❤❤❤
Yeh I am big Apple fanboy and long time iPhone, iPad and iMac user, but I do use Garmin watch for my outdoor activities. They are just so straight to the point and their battery just last very long. Apple watch is only good when you only use it casually and wants to look trendy. Don't get me wrong, they are good smartwatch for daily use and it works seamlessly with your other Apple products, but if you are really seriously into something (sports or outdoor activities), prefer minimal distractions and favour the most efficient means of getting the data feedback you needed while you are engaging into some activities, go get a Garmin watch.
You can get the Garmin epix gen2 for £379 at the moment
That is crazy good value!!
I used to own a garmin 6 pro, the thing is that aesthetically it was an ugly but functional watch, switched over to the Suunto race which is very aesthetically appealing with its amoled screen and love the Suunto app as well, can’t go wrong with either tho.👍🏼
You do realise the epix here has amoled screen too so have many other Garmin watches.
@@W3TFARTyes I know that, but in my own personal opinion those watches are bland and boring looking as all garmins look the same, epix, fenix 7 etc …
@@angrychilimango630 lol they don’t all look the same .
And that suunto is a very bland looking watch it looks like a bottle top on a band .
@@W3TFARTI find the Suunto more sleek looking and less generic looking than the garmin. I never got complimented on my garmin fenix but have been complimented on my Suunto race a few times already, take it as you will.
@@angrychilimango630 quite possible because people have seen Garmin before but not many suuntos
My original comment was due to you making a statement that would make people think Garmin doesn’t have amoled displays which is false .
And the suunto race looks like a close copy of a 965 not really sure how you could think one was generic and the other wasn’t .
If you had said it worked better in your opinion then that would be fine .
The day apple get home ideas the it will be a miracle
Amazfit is still the best bang for your buck with amazing battery life
I'm really trying not to back with the Apple ecosystem because I use galaxy watch 4 classic and I hate it. It is a really bad watch. I had a Garmin watch but I don't like it because of the smart part missing from this watch. I don't know what watch to use anymore.
Yeah, I think in your case it may be worth waiting for the Galaxy Pro when that comes out late next year? Alternatively maybe get a "in-between" watch, like a second hand one that is better than the Galaxy 4
I think it's a bit of a myth that Garmins are meant for high performance athletes and are a waste for regular people. I'd say, it's exactly opposite. A high performance athlete will have a specialized training plan, will know much better what their body needs even without a watch, will probably have a personal trainer or some specialized subscription service. They will not use Daily suggestions or Garmin's Pulse Ox or sleep analysis. A regular person trying to get in shape will absolutely benefit more from data Garmin provides.
Agree with the other comment that I think yours may be a gen 2 not pro.
A few comments: this will never have LTE due to battery issues of that. Also, Apple likes to restrict its smartwatch functionality so Garmin won't get that any time soon. As you say, it doesn't pretend to be a smartwatch.
Heart rate: better on the pro. Which also gets ECG. But HRM is better on the Apple Watch due to lighter / smaller body - see The Quantified Scientist.
Sleep tracking is more accurate on the Apple Watch / whoop - but does anyone need that much accuracy?
You missed the best feature? Body battery is incredibly useful.
8:58
oh yes this is the Gen 2 indeed, darn will have to fix that! Will definitely check out the Pro for better heart rate accuracy! Thanks for the tips on ECG too, I did watch a few videos showing teh AWU had better accuracy. For sleep tracking, I am definitely ok with what I get on the Garmin, very actionable data without paying anything extra a month.
I missed the body battery for sure, that is so useful. I also realised after uploading that there was a 30 sec clip missing, where I talk about the durability 🤦🏽 Even though this is the standard (not titanium) it's still lookin gbrand new despite me bashing it every now and then
@@AlexGTech I had the gen 2 standard and pro standard. Both hold up fine with no damage. I do use a screen protector though.
Bear in mind that the gen 2 standard has less memory and, I think, only single band gps - so less accurate. The pro standard has multi band and the same memory as the pro titanium
interesting point on the GPS, it's been fine so far but I only go to the same places and in fairly unobstructed. Definitely considering the Pro next time
Right …
Having both of these watches I totally agree. Also the Apple Watch faces are terrible.
Yeah, I do like the AWU but have got a lot more out of the Garmin in my day to day
If only u could use the “message back” feature.
that would be awesome, am hoping Garmin brings more of these features soon!
@@AlexGTech that’s what’s keeping me from buying Epix pro gen 2 Sapphire. Not a fan of Apple Watches.
Is Apple Watch Ultra that bad? I personally thinks it’s the best smartwatch so far on the market right now, with enough fitness capabilities as being a smartwatch
I think it's almost perfect. The perfection would be battery for me. I know it's a minor thing but the convenience of not having to charge it for days does make a difference for me. I do enjoy the AWU, but it annoys me about the battery
@@AlexGTech Because it’s so hard to charge it 🙄
Im 50 and i cant read the text on their new beautiful new faces AW2 going back, sticking with my Watch 6C. Plus theres only 2 settings of brightness on AWU2 Samsungs for example has 11 increments.
Garmin pay in Brasil is awful. Only 1 bank.
What??? you found apple watch sarcastic with the good job things??? hahahahaha my gosh
More like condescending. A bit like this comment 🤣
The Apple ultra watch is trash..A series of updates but the battery life is still the same. I have one and, I never enjoy ng cycling due to worrying about the battery of this watch. Plan to switch to Garmin Fenix.
Apple will probably never have the leadership it really deserves, since Steve Jobs died. So too, Garmin will probably never get anything close to the real competition from Apple, Steve’s company was famous for, which would ‘electrocute’ Garmin’s management into shock and awe. The facts are, Steve Jobs drove the employees to be so much better, better than they could have ever believed they could be. If Steve were still alive today, which is highly possible, Garmin would not be charging an outlandish $800 and more for some of their watches.
The day you watch an Apple Watch, you are enslaved in iOS ecosystem. And there is nothing bigger than freedom. I have been using iphone for a decade but i still have Android as my work phone. I also use Garmin forerunners as my primary running activity monitor & can use them independent of my phone. Never get dependent on any one technology, its a bad idea.
So tired of seeing these two watches pitted against each other when they are for two different users!! AWU IS THE BEST SMART WATCH PERIOD, AND GARMIN IS BY FAR THE BEST SPORTS WATCH!!!!! that's why I rock them both at the same time one on the right and one on the left!!
I disagree about the garmin. Because it is so inaccurate. Gps is not better. Heart rate sensor is a shame. Blood oxygen : better you turn it off because of battery life. No always on display. If so then the battery life is sooooo bad. I have to carry my phone.
I'd like to think you why I don't like this video, but before I get to that, I'm going to stall you.
Can you repeat that? But try in English!
£ 800 for a smartwatch on crime riddled streets of London??
No thanks 🙏
I hear ya…
Nonsense ... honesty missing from Ultra? The whole review is silly. No other product can touch the Apple Ultra. If you want something different, fine. Get a Garmin. If you want the most sophisticated electronic device for your wrist, Ultra is it. Its in a league by itself. Incredibly tough. Can even be used as a dive computer. Titanium case. First class hardware and software.
I enjoyed reading your argument with yourself 😅 you should make a video about it
Bla bla bla good battery bla bla bla - ordinary garmin fan/advertisement review
Bla bla bla ... Need charger to continue with bla bla bla
whatever pal. If it was sponsored I'd have mentioned it. I bought this with my own hard earned money. Jog on!
Tossed my Apple Watch for a Garmin , so happy!!
Such a great bit of kit, can't wait to see what will come in the future
