They sure where. I would love to do this challenge against some day, as it was a lot of fun. and you can't predict what someone else would think was a fun supply to use :)
He did so well, what an impressive haul! I like all of the accessories that came in the pencil tin, and the cute animal painting set. Black paper is always fun to work on with metallic and opaque supplies. The giraffe is so cute and I love the colourful zebra.
Thanks. He did do well and it was a lot of fun to do this challenge. Thanks for the comments on the drawings. I am aiming to improve my sketching at the moment, as I'm a little rusty. I haven't really done that since highschool. I've seen your colour pencil drawings and feel inspired to learn wildlife.
I like the effects you achieved with the metallic markers - I will probably buy them and incorporate them into my arsenal of pencils and fine tipped marker pens. Thank you for sharing your experience. Oh, and I loved how the zebra drawing turned out!
Thanks. I want him to do it again in the future as it was so much fun. It's more fun when someone else picks things, because it feels exciting and different.
That's precisely what they are for. They do stay on the paper sort of once dry, but they are still powdery and can lift off. I'll repurpose them for something more appropriate. They would actually be great for outlining on a painting too, when you want to draw in the subject before painting over it.
@@lozantoninocreations hmmm, maybe they can be sealed in with some kind of spray? Or, get a chalkboard for your kitchen to write menus and notes to each other
I was a bit worried at first, but in the end it looks like your husband did a good job of picking for you. I've tried something similar with my partner in the past and let me tell you, not so good. It's not something I'm going to attempt again, I don't think our relationship or my self esteem could handle it. I'll settle for just being loved, even if I'm not well known.
What a haul for $100. Your husband made great choices.
Thanks. He did well and I like that most of it can be used again and again too.
These art supplies look like so much fun!

Fun challenge and great job!
Thanks 🙂

I'm now using those markers a lot for various projects. They're really nice and look amazing, especially against dark colours.
I love how you drawn the giraffe 🦒 very cute and hubby did well to chose for 100.00 well done..

This Derwent pad is actually really good. I used it ones and will repurchase if I see it again.
Thanks 🙂. I've seen it many times and considered buying it. It seems like a great choice at a fairly reasonable cost.
Looks like some fun things to try out. Enjoy!
Yes - the pencils are very enjoyable to use and I look forward to using the markers more too. It is a lot of fun having someone else choose things.
The animal kit was a surprise 😅 I loved the zebra piece 😍😍
I was most surprised by that too. It was definitely an outside the box item.
Maybe the chalk markers are to write on menus at coffee shops and so on. Will they stay on the paper once done?

Thanks and yes he did well. I think he understands my skills and hobbies enough, to know what would work well.
