It's not scary, it's normal. It's not rocket science; anything, even if healthy, should be consumed in moderation. Said moderation is an amount dependent on the subject and it's necessity. Similar to how putting too much, too little or an incompatible fluid in your car will ruin it. Though one shouldn't obsess over that balance either... People should accept that change in everything should come slowly in order to be maintainable. Leaping suddenly from one stage to the other is just exhausting and you will break easily and come back to the old bad habits.
Yes this method works wonders. I myself used to be on a Walmart diet while working there of mostly cookies, pizza, and occasional soda/gatorades. Then I just got sick of eating like that and tried to switch on a dime and relapsed on multiple occasions. But when I slowly began replacing my cookies and KitKats with low sugar yogurts or fruit, I lasted much longer before relapsing, which I still did often. A countless number of times. But it’s just important to give yourself some space and understanding in those moments, and start again the next day. And someday, you will go from eating like I did to how I am eating now, which is mostly home made overnight oats based off of Noel’s recipe (modified due to my food insensitivities), a bag of protein chips in the morning to get me going as well since I won’t eat again for 6-7 hours, then when I get home it’s usually a home made chicken fried rice meal or some salmon/fish (mostly salmon) and veggies of choice or baked chicken with more veggies as well and fruit for desert. Sometimes I add a protein drink but not all the time.
Thanks Noel I just started gym this week and today I did back. I had legs yesterday, and I went to the store to buy some things for my diet. Thanks for making the content you do, and thanks for being such a big inspiration to me 💪❤️💪
Just remember no body’s gonna judge you for genuinely want to better your health, and if you need help with a specific workout don’t be afraid to ask somebody how to do an exercise with proper form.
This is best approach. The people who are crash dieting almost never lose weight, they just ping pong around 100 pound up or down. It is really "good" only for big shows that capitalize on creating tension and bad emotions.
I’ve lost 130 pounds in the last 10 months and honestly talking to myself harsh was the thing that made me wake up and take dieting seriously. I know it’s not for everyone but some people really do need someone to tell them the cold hard truth
I always hated gym "pros" telling the new obese person to jump right into the chicken broccoli rice (or similar) diet. My guy drinks a 12 pack of coke a day, can we start by getting him down to 3?
100% I go through diet cycle because of college at times, and I understand it something I need to control better. When the semester and the stress is done, I always got to go through the emotional conflict of letting go of foods a bit at a time. Baby steps.
Start by prioritizing hitting your protein goals about .8 to 1g per lb of bodyweight. Protein is filling and takes longer to digest so you feel full longer.
I was the opposite I couldn’t slowly remove stuff because eventually I just didn’t remove things I had a goal to cut so I cut out everything I really enjoyed like junk food wise till I reached my weight and added some things back but overall my diet is much healthier than before.

Love this advice, I am a hard gainer. Lol. I just added one sandwich until I started to add weight. The reverse should be true for those who want to lose weight, subtract a meal, or cut one in half. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
Such good advice! And be nice to yourself! Change your mindset it's a lifestyle change, not a diet. I've lost 130lb in about 18 months....little steps create sustainable change!
Another approach: set up a calorie deficit. Track what you eat. With decent planning, you can pretty much have any food you want if you eat a sensible amount and also eat healthy things.
Yeah, progress can seem slow but consistency is key. I'm at the point where I don't even miss some of the super sugary foods but do have them as a good treat every once in a while.
One thing I did that helped a lot was taking things like fresca or diet drinks, it’s a step down from the normal drink in terms of carbs and calories. It’s still not good but it should be a step towards the right direction if you really want to drink Soda while making progress
Just got recommended your channel recently and I’m a huge fan man. Love the positivity and support, unlike a lot of these toxic influencers out there. Thank you ❤
I know it’s not good, but self-loathing and anger with being inconsistent gets me into the gym more than anything else. So while I also hate to hear OP being so mean to himself, I resonate with it. I wish I could always channel good energy into productivity, but lots of the time it personally leads to laziness and complacency. Anyone else struggled with this?
I just started dieting. I went straight to prepping my meals, and honestly I find this part really satisfying and haven’t hated it one bit. It’s still difficult to cut on junk food but I’ve been cut out about 80% of the junk food I used to eat. And it’s been going well. Perhaps I’ll come back here if I start seeing some good progress
I find that isolating one of your bad eating habits and only focusing on getting rid of it works pretty good, dont pick the next target until you have fully rid yourself of the first habit.
I cut out soda for the most part, I feel healthier than ever, I figured out I hated the amount of take out I was having, so I cooked clean meals at home. I don't "healthy prep", but I also am raising a 16 month old and me and my fiance are both in college. We've both steadily gotten healthier. It's all about how you FEEL bro. You gotta make the right choices one step at a time😊
Thanks Noel. I actually was thinking yesterday I didn’t like the way I looked. I really think it is a sign that this video is in my recommended. Thank you.
I haven’t gotten to the meal prep stage, but I have eliminated a lot of old junk food I used to eat, and now eat a bit more healthier options. I also learned to love cooking again, now that I make almost every meal myself, it’s given me more inspiration to go out of my way and try to make healthier things as a way of learning new recipes. I also learned to like greens, so far I love asparagus and tolerate spinach, which in my opinion, is pretty good progress. I used to hate any sort of vegetable, but now, I’m a bit more open to it.
Im dieting. I find that eating small portions of food I crave helps. My biggest craving is for coffee. What I do is I get a medium from Starbucks without whipped cream. The medium is big enough to enjoy and sip a while and without the whip it's even less calories
This is phenomenal advice. A cardiologist I work with tells people the same thing. If a pt drinks 2 sodas a day, he has them go down to one. If a pt eats out 5 times a week, he tells them to go down to 3. Little by little they change their diets long term.

I wholeheartedly agree. I have lost 100lbs through workout, diet and cooking for myself fresh every day, rather than using most processed foods. Cut added sugars, cut added fats, cook for yourself and allow yourself room to experiment. Never limit yourself completely, it'll make you despise the diet.
Man I just had a talk about people not dieting properly due to rushing to goals rather than making incremental changes just two days ago and now yt recommends this.
Wise words. You cant just one day drop your bad habits and be 100% productive, instead start small, go easy on yourself in the beggining and work your way up. This approach helped me with my procrastination and lack of discipline.
I’ve been “deleting” junk food little by little. It took me a year to get over gummy bears, but I got there! Now I walk regularly and I JUST added swimming and low intensity exercises. I feel sooo much better. Only up from there 😊
When I was 23 I was fat with a huge drinking problem literally going through six Guinness beers and two margaritas in two hours. At 24 I put a stop to drinking alcohol which instantly changed my diet and cravings. I started getting stoned a lot to cover up the headaches from alcohol withdrawals so I would eat little munchy food such as oranges some raisins and carrots or mostly fruits and vegetables. I never ate any big meals except for a chipotle bowl after a workout from the gym and in a short amount of time, I was lean like Eddie Van Halen already other punk rock guitarist, I was built like a stallion in my 20s but be sure to stay in shape and keep the circle moving because when you reach your 30s, all that belly fat catches up with you and it’s harder to lose weight
Great advice. Small steps over a long period have excellent results. I'm trying to just adjust my portion size slightly and am slowly losing my stomach.
Doing things gradually, most of the time pays off much better for the long term. Your body adjusts himself better and your mentality doesn’t break down as fast as it would if the process wasn’t gradual. It will allow you to build self discipline and consistency.
Ive never been over weight but hes right. Once you keep eating healthy you adapt to it and junk food and soda start to feel nasty to consume..atleast for me...not taste nasty but make you feel nasty
I came a long way for this comment i first came across your video when i was not into gum but wanted to diet as most fat kids i thought a diet was the answer and since than i have been watching your video as a short of guide and i never comented on any because what was i gonna say i did learn but i had achibe nothing but now coming from 109kg to 79 and then 86 now in muscle all i wanted to say is thank you for showing the way i dont care if this gets noticed or not but i will take any chances to say thank you for everything
I’m very mixed about the starting slow thing. Some people can and would much rather prefer speedrunning weight loss. It’s especially good if you have discipline. Sometimes being out of your comfort zone is the comfort zone. The joy outweighs the suffering. You’re more likely you’ll give up from starting too slow than to die of exhaustion working out too hard
Can confirm, i had to ease into a diet and now eating clean feels natural for me these days. Lost 15 pounds in a couple months and i actually look forward to my meals. Habits take time to build like muscle
I can somewhat manage my diet, what I struggle with is exercise. Usually I'm just swamped in work so I can't workout (also because I generally have trouble falling asleep because I'm watching my phone to stay away from stress). The days I have time, I just don't feel well or I become lazy. Man, I really want to fix these things
Personally speaking Understanding your body's relationship with foods(basics) followed by ultimate goal with the training program/ macro intake Don't forget to keep your diet somewhat fun it helps you stay consistent longer (A good hot sauce or something so it won't be unnecessarily dry)
100% - just cut one unhealthy thing after the other - and try to find healthy/ier food options you enjoy - it doesnt have to be perfect from the start. The goal is not to eat salad once but to sustain a healthy diet. Keep at it bros, we all gonna make it!

Bro the death note tone haha😂
This is best approach. The people who are crash dieting almost never lose weight, they just ping pong around 100 pound up or down. It is really "good" only for big shows that capitalize on creating tension and bad emotions.
Reasonable response as always. Positive and uplifting

I’ve lost 130 pounds in the last 10 months and honestly talking to myself harsh was the thing that made me wake up and take dieting seriously. I know it’s not for everyone but some people really do need someone to tell them the cold hard truth
Congrats on your accomplishment.
I have the opposite problem. No matter how much or what I eat, I don’t gain any weight.
Solution: *Become Nikocado Avocado*
I have the same problem, you have a ectomorph body, the only way to gain weight is to gain muscle
I find that most people who say this don’t track calories. Track your calories for a week and I promise you’ll find the issue very easily
Eat more protein.
I always hated gym "pros" telling the new obese person to jump right into the chicken broccoli rice (or similar) diet. My guy drinks a 12 pack of coke a day, can we start by getting him down to 3?
🪦
Don't forget to drink water.

Frist step to that should be try eating a little bit less of the same food you are eating. You will start loosing weight.
I like this guy he is very humble❤

Same as drug addicts in rehab or alcohólics, It is called titrating (reducing over time until not needed or upping dose until efficate for genuine serious health conditions).
Dear Noel this is one of the biggest problems for our bodies and mental health, please make more videos about weight loss, thanks for your great content and passion ❤
I love that Noel is such a genuinely nice person as well, not harsh on people but very understanding.
Noel out here making my day ❤
I’m glad😇
Teachers were the best part of my senior years of high school... most underrated and underappreciated ever - teachers are goated! 🙏

Such a G for starting off answering the questions with "dont talk about yourslef luke that" bless king 👑
Just got recommended your channel recently and I’m a huge fan man. Love the positivity and support, unlike a lot of these toxic influencers out there. Thank you ❤
Noel giving out the best advice!!, small changes to your diet and training is the way to go it’s not a sprint it’s a marathon
thank you for never failing to make my day better
I know it’s not good, but self-loathing and anger with being inconsistent gets me into the gym more than anything else. So while I also hate to hear OP being so mean to himself, I resonate with it. I wish I could always channel good energy into productivity, but lots of the time it personally leads to laziness and complacency. Anyone else struggled with this?
Holy shit. For all the weight loss advice that's ever been written or recorded, these few seconds of a youtube short are genuinely useful advice.
Funny thing is that Max Verstappen actually drove F1 cars before he got his drivers license😂😂😂

Thank you.
Noep man I love you. You are such a humble and down to earth person.
Noel's soothing voice and Blade Runner synthwave syncs beautifully ❤
Bro is our collective dad
Lol
That message could have been written by me. My son usually talks me down . He notices the changes when I don't, and when the scale won't move.
This is phenomenal advice. A cardiologist I work with tells people the same thing. If a pt drinks 2 sodas a day, he has them go down to one. If a pt eats out 5 times a week, he tells them to go down to 3. Little by little they change their diets long term.
Hey Noel my name is Dorian I'm a South African immigrant I moved to America about 9 yr ago I decided to join the usmc to hopefully make friends and challenge myself. I don't know you but you feal like family. Lots of love Dorian.
Nobody should hate themselves. I hope that Person surrounds themselves with good wholesome folk. 🙂
I love the positivity and as usual Daddy Noel is 100% correct! Pookie Bear is the well of fitness knowledge.
I’ve been “deleting” junk food little by little. It took me a year to get over gummy bears, but I got there! Now I walk regularly and I JUST added swimming and low intensity exercises. I feel sooo much better. Only up from there 😊
Thanks Noel, I like your content. You’re honest and funny. Keep at it, big guy.
Death note soundtrack at the beginning, pretty cool
Doing things gradually, most of the time pays off much better for the long term. Your body adjusts himself better and your mentality doesn’t break down as fast as it would if the process wasn’t gradual. It will allow you to build self discipline and consistency.
Daddy Noel is also an F1 fan😍🔥
Advice for curving the appetite? I get starving quick after meals. I eat adequate meals but I just get hungry. I used to over eat every meal
You are amazing and great advice. I need you talk to me like this every day. ❤
Dude, I can't believe such nice people like you even exist.
Thank you for inspiring me to not only start lifting, but also to become a better person that I could ever hope to be. We love you Noel!
I’m so glad I could help, love you too💙
So true, it’s about slowly building good habits, which will naturally replace bad ones
It just makes me feel so much better just to see his videos
Because then I know that there are people who mean good❤❤❤❤
Can confirm, i had to ease into a diet and now eating clean feels natural for me these days.
Personally speaking
Understanding your body's relationship with foods(basics) followed by ultimate goal with the training program/ macro intake
Don't forget to keep your diet somewhat fun it helps you stay consistent longer
(A good hot sauce or something so it won't be unnecessarily dry)
Daddy noel is the best father figure for gym freaks. Lots of love ❤️❤️
100% - just cut one unhealthy thing after the other - and try to find healthy/ier food options you enjoy - it doesnt have to be perfect from the start. The goal is not to eat salad once but to sustain a healthy diet. Keep at it bros, we all gonna make it!
