The only thing missing is how to deal with the players on your team between the ones having a bad day, trolls, and the ones that blame the jungle for everything
You don't need to live by the meta. In low mmr you can carry with pretty much any god. You should be banning out gods that are strong in YOUR MMR, because for how good Morrigan and Persephone are, most people ESPECIALLY LOW MMR PLAYERS can't play them so it's freelo if they're locked in by anyone that isn't a one-trick. Smurfing is not as common in smite as in stuff like League so do not worry too much. Pick your comfort picks and you should be able to at least get to platinum. Getting a defined role and ironing out your mechanics is also helpful since macro play and massive team coordination is rare in low mmr brackets. If you play support, climbing is extremely easy, if you know how to take advantage of the lead you get in lane and rotate properly. For ADC players, god suggestions are Jing Wei, Cernnunos, Hou Yi, Hachiman, and Cupid. These gods are simple, easy to pick up and learn, safe, and all have strong team fight potential, jing wei to a lesser extent. They are all 1v9 gods if you can get rolling and don't require the most pristine mechanics to be able to carry. For Support players, god suggestions are Sobek, Fafnir, Ne Zha, Hercules, and Kumbhakarna. These gods all have massive carry potential even if they fall slightly in lane. All have great crowd control and in Fafnir's case he is probably the best 1v9 support if he gets fed. Similar cases apply to the other gods here. They all have amazing ways to peel and protect your carries, kill setup, fight initiation, survivability, and damage output. For Mid players, god suggestions are Merlin, Ra, Hades, Raijin, and Ullr. Not much to say about these gods other than they do require a bit more attention to detail to get the most out of there kits. Ra has amazing teamfight damage and support. Ra snipes also provide you with a good way to secure kills in lane and in team fights, do not be afraid to use it as its cooldown is very short. He has the best out of combat healing in the game and his 3 helps your team by giving power and protections, also helps you shove wave as it makes minions tanky. Merlin is your staple 1v9 mid hyper carry, needs mechanical skill to play but his kit is not the hardest to memorize. Raijin and hades are extremely easy and simple to play, both low mmr stompers. Ullr is the flex pick from adc to mid, hes fantastic in both For Solo, god picks are Nike, Achilles, Amaterasu, Jormungandr, and Loki. Self explanatory except for loki. Loki is a low elo KING, low mmr players do not know how to play around his split pushing, and when he gets wins lane and eventually ganks he gets frags simple as that. Jormungandr is unkillable unless hes without his ult, you should not die if you have good positioning and ult, obviously you wont have deathless games every time but jorm is super easy to get into the solo lane. For junglers, god picks are Nike, ratatoskr, Ravana, Bakasura, and Mercury. Nike is insane in the jungle atm, extremely safe, high dmg, high sustain, and very hard to kill. Rat and Ravana are great early game junglers that can get you early wins by snowballing out of control by the mid game. Bakasura and Mercury are probably the best low mmr junglers in smite because of how team independent they are. Super fast clears, amazing ultimates, great ganking, great 1v1s, good in team fights. These junglers have it all. thats my TEDXTALK
Tbh. I read the whole thing. I don't play ranked Conquest but i want to look into it AS MUCH as possible. Good thing Bakasura is my main Jungle. I play Hades Mid. And i can play Anubis Solo. But I wanna be at least able to have a good team so I choose either Bellona or Loki. I read it. Thanks a lot! Much Appreciated!
I read it all and I agree and disagree in a few points, bakasura indeed is a meta low mmr but hes a common ban so If i was new in ranked I would make sure to know atleast an other character. I disagree with ratatoskar, I think thanatos is a greater choice just because of hes executable ult and its cc. Mercury is a great choice but in a 1v1 jungler vs jungler almost every other jungler can destroy mercury. Right now tsukuyomi is probably meta along with bakasura and arachne (but they are all common low mmr bans)
@@Giaroscope support is my role. I love going Athena since her pick ban rate is so low. Plus she is a good counter if someone goes Hiemdallr or Bacchus. She shuts their channels down so good. She is weak against Hou Yi, Medusa, Kephri, and Sobek though.
Tbf 30 levels is more than enough to get decent at every role. I’m competent in every role simply because I got bored of playing the same roles in casual and said fuck it I’m gonna learn every role
Honestly I say that you should wait till your knowledge is more then just basic and more intermediate. You have placement matches and if you get placed low, you may get better but you'll be stuck with bad teamates and have trouble getting out.
Literally ty for this as im just getting into smite and your guides truly help me out. I needed this one ty. Please do another revamped must have items guide for each class :)
i played my first few games of ranked last night, its a massive difference to what casual is like, i do quite well in casual games, very often im in a positive KDA and feel like i done very well, in ranked, i got destroyed and i honestly dont know what i could have done better. i lost 5 games in a row LUL is there any way you can elaborate more on the difference between ranked and casual? maybe do a "what not to do in ranked" or "biggest mistakes people do in ranked". I dont know, but i dont think theres enough vids out there saying how much of a difference it is, when i said i got destroyed, i mean i honestly thought i just shouldnt have this game on my pc anymore haha great vid as always
having a positive kda isnt really a huge factor in how well you do. There's a ton more factors in play. Did you farm well? how was your damage? wards? did you rotate when needed? etc
i find after a long time of playing casual and then going into ranked, depending on your role, if you're focused on getting kills and being very aggressive you'll die quickly. In ranked, you have to be more cautious and ward often. Farm well, and only initiate when you feel it's the proper time and you won't get killed from a gank or enemy ult. After a while, you sort of get a sense of when to be careful and when to push. There's also certain gods that are just better at pushing, and there are some who are better at pushing only at certain times in the game. Pay attention to, not only your early and late game, but if your enemy has mainly early game strength or late game strength and prepare your play style for that. I usually play late game gods, so I like to play more careful early on.
@@devinparis2063 what im saying is that in casual it seems to make you think you're good at the game then when you go into ranked, teams play so much more as a team you just feel like you're doing real bad. Il get better but i personally found theres a big difference the way people play in ranked than casual and it surprised me
WipeoutSG the matchmaking is still completely broken one game they'll give you high plats and diamonds that carry you then the next game they'll give you silvers and low golds that feed it's really bad
Here is a legitimate tip for every game of Smite. I bring it up because of an unnecessarily lengthy ranked conquest I played last night. BUY ANTI HEAL. At least one anti heal iten should get picked up buy the majority of the team EVERY game. There is this misconception that only a handful of gods like aphro, change, terra, etc are deserving of an anti heal pick up, but this is just not the case. anti heal works against life steal and so many abilities throughout the game. 90% of the time there is enough sustain on the enemy team to change the game. For instance, my friend and I last night were the only two on the team with anti heal so the enemy Cama healed through would be deaths that I counted 5 or 6 times AND their Neith had Asi and bloodforge built... Guys anti heal items stack so the more the better. With enough items you can reduce healing on a player to ZERO. that could be over 1,000 health in a fight. It is important. My favorite Anti Heal items are as follows. Brawler's Beatstick, Divine Ruin, Pestilence, Contagion, and Toxic Blade. Buy one every game unless you have a very good reason not to.
I agree with this, but not all anti heal items stack. IE. Contagion and Pestilence. Another great counter is to have your solo laner go relic dagger and upgraded ankh. Good bye lifesteal and/or healing. Osiris is such a great god into a sustain meta with his ultimate.
I've always stayed away from ranked due to not knowing if I was even ready until Inters3ct made a point at 1:55, gonna queue up for a ranked match now lmao
Tysm I literally just got to level 30 and well umm... Hopped right into ranked and I'm so sorry whoever I played with when I got picked for support and Xing Tian was banned by enemy team. That was horrible of me... Sorry again
Have decent item knowledge is a good point. If you don't know how to build against gods that piss you off then you don't have fundemental knowledge. I'm rank 81 with all gods at at least 1 mastery rank and I still have constant moments of trying to remember which item I'm looking for. Main reason I don't play ranked lmao. If you have to waste 5 min in fountain looking for something you are crippling your team for those 5 min.
Something that is true, that most don't realize in Ranked Play. Pick/Ban means WAY LESS when you don't know who you are playing. It makes complete sense in Pro Game Play where you know the team you will face, and have scouted strengths and weaknesses. You actually have information to work with. In Ranked, it's a double-edged blade. The idea should be to take out the most POPULAR Gods, since most likely the odds are better that those are the Gods the Enemy Team knows 'well enough'. The issue is, these should ALSO be the Gods YOUR Team knows 'well enough'. The fact is, in Ranked... Pick/Ban is just luck. It literally doesn't matter, because you're Blind Banning... you're Banning with NO INFORMATION on the Enemy Team. Now, there IS the situation that you can start looking into Bans as they are made to get an IDEA of what the Enemy Banner may be trying to look for, get some information from Bans that might give you insight on the Intended Comp. THIS is the main Skill of Ranked Pick/Ban. Figuring out the Intended Comp, and how best to disrupt it... through the information each New Ban gives. Main point is, people that get upset or caught up in Pick/Ban in Ranked... are wasting energy. You are not Psychic, you do not have a Scouting Report on the Enemy Team. Now, if it gave you the names of the Players on the Enemy Team BEFORE Pick/Ban, then that would change. Lower levels you might identify a popular 1 Trick to ban out, higher levels the names are more well known as major streamers and pros are ran into, and you DO have information on them. So they could absolutely do this, and THEN Pick/Ban would matter MUCH more in Ranked. Just understand, you're going in BLIND. You have NO INFORMATION, and the only info you'll be getting is what you see the Enemy Ban DURING the process. So just go out there, and HAVE FUN. Do the best you can with it, but remember this. At Low Level NO ONE LOSES in Pick/Ban... it's who plays the Comp the best, and occasionally who has that 1 Killer that carries the entire Team to Victory.
You should make a counterpick guide. Obviously not telling every god's counter pick as that would take forever but more just general tips to help identify what would be a good counter pick
I wish I watched this before diving into ranked lol. My first ranked conquest had me in solo and I was late to blue buff xp (in casual, no jungler has ever waited if I was late, so I never realized sharing blue buff xp was basically mandatory in ranked). The jungler got super tilted and we ended up losing bc of the "shit bronzes on the team" of golds and plats. It didn't matter that I was putting in work mid to late game and he was just feeding. That game soured my view on ranked to the point I just stopped. Also. I hate how it starts you with 1500 mmr instead of starting you at the bottom and letting you work your way up :/ . That just ruins people's games.
Same. Got fed up of bad matchmaking in casual and figured I'd get a fair matchup if I went to ranked. I feel really bad for the team that got me as I was also put in first pick and had no idea what was going on!
It starts u at 1500 mmr so u play with the “average player” if u lose then u go below the average u win u go above if it didn’t do this smurfs would be able to access the literal lowest ranks
Was in a Duo with a buddy. We made the mistake of going 6-0 to start the Season... pushed us into 4 straight Masters Games. My buddy couldn't hang, and I was barely keeping above the water. We tend to be Gold/Plat types, this was completely out of our element. LOL! The good news is, these guys actually weren't Toxic about it... and only one went with the passive-aggressive 'It isn't their fault, it's on Hi-Rez Match Making'. Mostly it was open communication and trying to find ways to win. Fortunately only one of those were really lost by my Duo, where my buddy just got dumpstered out the gate. Most were 'lost' when another Lane died early, and got in that 'Well, I can't catch back up now' mentality. It's what I love about Lower Elo, TBH... we're to stupid to get into that line of thinking, we don't see the Snow Ball Potential and concede to it. We fight through, because the other idiots are just as dumb as us, and most likely throw it back our way at some point. :D
I usually leave Yamoja unbanned the lower teirs gold down because yeah shes OP but alot of people dont play her well and just become a useless sponge on the other team where a decent Nike can still wreck havoc on many gamed

I kinda understand now thanks for the guide i was totally confused on how to play ranked I might as well practice more on casual conquest I also get threatened by my team to get me reported for just playing the game and well i now know that ranked isn't for me yet... Anyway thanks for the guide.
Yeaaaaa..... if only my team knew wtf they were doing. I never lose because I do bad, I lose because my teams blows ass and doesnt help. Sad life of solo queuing ranked😞
I try ranked got solo all 4 games. Lost 3 games won 1. Never went negative in any of the games and all loses were surrenders with the support and adc getting farmed like corn. Sitting at like 800 sr or whatever really puts me off from even trying.
Best advice is to main jungle and support to climb because you can directly impact the game at all stages. You have to depend on your solo to not feed, but being able to help pressure duo and mid from level 3 and up really helps your team snowball as most players are aggressive kill chasers. You can't win them all, but solo lane is definitely the hardest to rotate from without losing farm or towers, so it's the one I choose last until I hit plat or so in a split.
I’ve been stuck in Gold 2 for sooooooo long. Like there’s always at least one TERRIBLE player on your team and it really comes down to who has the worst player. I’m gaining only about 20-25 TP per win and losing 30-35 and it really makes you not wanna play honestly. I’ll go crazy and carry for two games and then I lose one game and all that progress is lost. It’s honest to god terrible ngl.
Oh damn! I didn’t know banning was a privilege given to the best in the team. Which makes no sense to me because when I get to pick my team usually wins, and the opposite when I’m the last to pick. I guess knowing who to ban is top priority
Don't forget about the massive Smurf problem. Someone on the enemy team may seem like trash, but could actually come out to be the biggest threat. I hate running into people who are master or diamond ranked on their main account, but have made a new account or alt account that stays low level.
I dont mean to be that guy, but 75% I get a team that I prayed wouldn't be my team, while the enemy team is solid and only have maybe 1 bad player. I went from diamond 2 to plat 5 because I had nothing but bot teammates for 10 games in a row. I kept thinking I was bad, but I went positive every single game as support.
i am only lv 77, played it not constantly... and i am hella scared of ranked. i have done it only 1 time when i was lv 65 and it was really no match.. all the others guy was more than 120....maybe it is the well known trash matchmaking, or it is always like this..so i will never do it again
You would think so, until you realise a lot of people don't know what the top picks are, or if they are willing or even know how to play them if they are open. Then you realise that every platform has their own top picks and that every rank within those platforms have their top picks also. ...and then you face palm when your first pick solo laner bans Hades and insta locks Anubis 🤷🏻♂️
this is basically a good guide but u left out the fact that my mid or carry throw every game like i’m not joking it’s the same role that throws every time my jungles are usually pretty good
Literally at this moment I am silver 2 and bans like shown in this video aren't discovered how often I see my team and enemy team banning bakasur, arachne, tsukyumi, nemesis, perse, cthu like most of times, how I understand those bans are for high tier players
From his s tier gods he has I’ve only seen people play heim aphro and yemoja. I’ve been in silver for ranked conquest and recently got into gold. Smite match making is just terrible if you are in silver and gold. 7 out of 10 games will be lost because of one or two players on your team. I would honestly ban kumba yemoja Thor skadi heim or even Anubis. Persephone and morrigan are really good but you will not see good people who can play them. Intersect does give good guide for pros but not for the majority people in gold and silver. I watched his smite matchmaking vid and he has not experienced horrific matchmaking like silver and gold people feel.
Once you get to platinum get comfy because you're gonna be there for awhile smite thinks it's cool to put bronze silver and gold players on you're team so you can try and carry them. But 9 times outta 10 they're gonna feed and cause you to lose anyway.
I a console player sometimes feel that I lose because I play on console and on console you can't type on chat to tell teammates what they want to play.
Bro I hate ranked duel I get reported so many times just for beating the other person and I’m scared my acc might get banned due to smite shitty report system
all my ranked games I eather get a master player that carries the shit out of the game or I get completely useless players lvl 40 ares jungle or anubis support trolls or smurfs that want to try meme builds in ranked I have gotten to diamond in joust and duel last split but for conquest I can't hit plat because the people I get just make it possible for me to rank up
Honestly I have no intent or any interest in playing ranked if they guide you like playing can literally just be banned, there should be a ranked with Ban and without ban in my opinion
I rarely play conquest anymore (even casual) because people are so toxic and I cannot play support to save my fucking life. No matter what God I play, I cannot play support at an even semi-decent level. I kick ass as jungle and carry and I'm quite good at mid and solo but the community is too toxic for me to play support as I just get called trash.
"Top pick has the highest mmr aka top player in the team, 2nd pick has the highest mmr aka 2nd best player in team" I can agree that the top pick has the highest mmr, but i disagree that the top mmr is the best player in the team. There are plenty of games where the top picks are the worst players in the game :P
You're right, but you're missing the point. Yes, highest MMR doesn't *necessarily* mean best player, but it's a safe bet to say that whoever has the highest MMR is most likely to be the best player. Those "plenty of games" you mention are the exception, not the rule.

Ullr is the flex pick from adc to mid, hes fantastic in both
For Solo, god picks are Nike, Achilles, Amaterasu, Jormungandr, and Loki.
Summarize this to a 3-5 line comment and maybe somebody will read it lol

I feel like he's talking about support here...
I actually love playing support, the characters tend to be more forgiving and less squishy than others

Watching this makes me more confused than before :?
Basically make sure you know every role
And try ban charactera that allow you to have the most good gods over the opponent
@@silverfang4583 my head is literally spinning
I’m level 27 and starting to look at what I need to get ready for ranked and I had no idea the ban phase was going to be so complicated lol
For picks and bans, that is completely theoretical. Sometimes people will leave things open then not pick them.

I think i just had a bad first few games, i was getting plats on the enemy teams and golds at highest on my team and we got smashed every game.
My boy i feel your pain. Between anti and wards idk what has been happening lately.
I agree with this, but not all anti heal items stack. IE. Contagion and Pestilence. Another great counter is to have your solo laner go relic dagger and upgraded ankh. Good bye lifesteal and/or healing. Osiris is such a great god into a sustain meta with his ultimate.
Is it wrong that usually only put down Wards when i'm behind? i always forget to place wards when i'm ahead
I don't play or plan to play ranked but I'm gonna watch anyways ;)
Oh c'mon.. after playing 10 games with one character you can unlock a cool border around their icon!!
@@Will-ig3yj I'd kill for a Jorm border ngl
Obviously not telling every god's counter pick as that would take forever but more just general tips to help identify what would be a good counter pick
do you gain rank based on the win or does how well you played go into it?
is curse voice still used in ranked?
I started playing during quarantine, I’m learning a lot and this channel is always helping me learn
I have lost so many games due to this i am in plat and cant get out cus i always get new players or dcs
Stop playing ranked. Learn how to play first.
So why with my team I do the best and when we lose I lose the most, win and get the least mmr it makes no sense to me
Nobody wants to talk about how his profile pic is spinning?

What do I do when my duo lane is 0-5 in the first 3 minutes
Tfw when you got carried 6 games straight to gold lol
At first I heard that I had to ban which is scary but then I heard only the MVP bans so we are ok
I usually leave Yamoja unbanned the lower teirs gold down because yeah shes OP but alot of people dont play her well and just become a useless sponge on the other team where a decent Nike can still wreck havoc on many gamed
Can give a guide on how to carry as solo or support my main too roles because I can’t trust people to actually build protections
Winning the solo lane nd doing the totem of ku has a lot of impact with the mana sustain
Nd late just do the job of a solo laner
As sup is harder to carry u just go with the guy that seems better nd peel for him

Picks and bans phase explanation summarized "Have someone smarter than you do this"
I try ranked got solo all 4 games. Lost 3 games won 1. Never went negative in any of the games and all loses were surrenders with the support and adc getting farmed like corn. Sitting at like 800 sr or whatever really puts me off from even trying.
ha same
Best advice is to main jungle and support to climb because you can directly impact the game at all stages.
800? I feel that bro.
Also lads number 1 tip for ranked is... (build ANTI HEAL AGAINST HEALRS) thx.
I learned nothing besides ban phase
i am only lv 77, played it not constantly... and i am hella scared of ranked. i have done it only 1 time when i was lv 65 and it was really no match.. all the others guy was more than 120....maybe it is the well known trash matchmaking, or it is always like this..so i will never do it again
This helps me a lot, thank you
this is basically a good guide but u left out the fact that my mid or carry throw every game like i’m not joking it’s the same role that throws every time my jungles are usually pretty good
Literally at this moment I am silver 2 and bans like shown in this video aren't discovered how often I see my team and enemy team banning bakasur, arachne, tsukyumi, nemesis, perse, cthu like most of times, how I understand those bans are for high tier players
I don’t play Morrigan much but I can carry with her. I don’t have a rank but I’d think I’m silver
You should do a vid on counter picking for solo
I still dont get playing ranked solo after 5 years in this game. I've given up trying at this point. I can manage with chaac, that's about it.

The picks and bans part was pretty good but could use some graphics or something. You lost me a little way in
good video, you should've said that people should not act like that merc in our game
Once you get to platinum get comfy because you're gonna be there for awhile smite thinks it's cool to put bronze silver and gold players on you're team so you can try and carry them. But 9 times outta 10 they're gonna feed and cause you to lose anyway.

I'm a solo main who loves to smack ppl with off meta picks so I tell them to ban whoever
all my ranked games I eather get a master player that carries the shit out of the game or I get completely useless players lvl 40 ares jungle or anubis support trolls or smurfs that want to try meme builds in ranked I have gotten to diamond in joust and duel last split but for conquest I can't hit plat because the people I get just make it possible for me to rank up
You know ares is actually a decent jungler right?
PatAscent How does he do?😂
My biggest tip is don’t be toxic and play in a team not like an egoist
Best tip is to just communicate with vgs and dont use all the VEW/VEG calls
Honestly I have no intent or any interest in playing ranked if they guide you like playing can literally just be banned, there should be a ranked with Ban and without ban in my opinion
You must I mean must Jung or guardian to rank up till high gold
I rarely play conquest anymore (even casual) because people are so toxic and I cannot play support to save my fucking life. No matter what God I play, I cannot play support at an even semi-decent level. I kick ass as jungle and carry and I'm quite good at mid and solo but the community is too toxic for me to play support as I just get called trash.
The "top pick..." stuff us only relevant at higher ranks.
