That was very very interesting, there was so much textile and supporting industry in Huddersfield that we had to have our own Rolls Royce dealer, where there's muck etc .
In the 1950's the Textile industry seem to recruit from abroad. Do you have information about these agents that went to places like Italy to recruit women? Many young Italians came over and learned the job and stayed. When did the Industry start to fade? was it the end of the 1980s? Do you have a full count of how many mills were in Huddersfield? Which ones have survived? Thanks. It would be good to look at all immigrants that helped with Huddersfield industry?
