Thorough, concise, clear and very helpful. The way DIY videos should be done. Thanks
Thanks for the great feedback Patrick 👍
Oh my goodness. In this video, you've just resolved two of my problems, one of them being a leaky tap which has been going on for months.I'll sort that out this weekend. I am subscribing just because of this one video. Thanks again Big Ted
Thanks Naz. I'm glad you found the video helpful 🙂
I'm truly grateful for your video and thanks for replying so quickly. Have a great weekend. I'm just waiting for an inkling of sunshine and looking forward to popping over to pick up my reviver kit. Have a great weekend my friend
@@nazb33 You too. I hope everything goes smoothly when you fit the new valves and handles.
Thanks Ted! Great video, straight forward and easy to follow and understand.
Thanks for the great feedback 🙂
Brilliant video Ted, thank you 👍
Thanks for the great feedback 🙂
Pro tip, gently tap the caps once WD40 left for 10 minutes. Helps breakup the limescale. Mine were particularly difficult, and this helped. Great video!
That's a great idea. Thanks 👍
Great video, Ted! - Another skill I didn't know I needed, but am happy to learn it! --- Because you explain why you're doing something as you're doing it, it makes the information very versatile. Feel like I learned a lot more than just replacing taps, and that's coming form a DIY dunce like me. Cheers!
Thanks for the great feedback Giles 🙂
How easy, thank you for this. Shall now have the confidence to change my dripping tap. 👍
Thanks Molly 🙂
Great stuff you help saving money
Thank you 😃
Worked for me, thanks for the advice:)
That's great. I'm glad you found the video useful 👍
👍👍👍 Cheers Ted.
Thanks Pete 👍
Ive used the exact same one and used their adpater to work on my bath taps. But now the flow is so reduced.
How did you turn off hot water? Great video thanks
If you turn the main stopcock off, it should stop the water supply to your boiler
I’ve got some grosvenor taps 1924 tap ooze black stuff from around the tap itself when it’s turned on. Do you think it’s a similar situation; that I can use this same valve on my tap?
I would try changing the washer first.
Great video.would the tap itself need reseating when valve is changed?
I didn't reseat the taps in the video and have had no problems.
I think he’s mixed the taps up tap should be off when in line with the spout and on when turned parallel to spout
Does this help with low water pressure? My hot water shower tap has very weak and low water flow but the cold one is fine.
I don't think this would help, unfortunately 😕
Hi Big ted,
Need your help, please.
Do you happen to know the diameter of the spindle and spline count on these valves?
I'm sorry but I don't. I've just had a look on the screwfix website and they are not listed in the specification. I also drew a blank when searching for the manufacturer. Screwfix (and amazon) are normally good with refunds if you buy them and they don't fit
Would you know if this will work if you have the other type of tap gland
The kit I bought came with both so it should do
My screw has frayed, how do i remove it now?
Hi any advice for a screw that doesn't want to come out!
Have you tried a penetrating spray like Wd40?
Hi thank you, i have just got some so am going to try soak overnight and hope it works!
@@jenmc3911 Good luck 🙂
I fitted the handle type taps on my sink but it just turns non stop in either direction anyway to fix it (make it stop range of motion)
Is the water turning on/off? It sounds like you haven't pushed the handles down onto the valves properly.
@@bigtedshome I found out what was wrong I bought the 1/2 half turn instead of the 1/4 turn lol 😂
Appreciate the reply tho ty
