I’ve only been visiting this channel for one day but I now feel the impetus to really immerse myself in learning about the history of The Troubles.

Only just discovered this.
I’m very humbled by the women in this video. How they adapted to this struggle that they had. Families, and working, and also some of them that became active.
I will admit that I was over there, for a wee while. But one of the things that really struck me, pretty much straight away, was that the women, were mothers. And just like my mother back home. They were working class women, struggling, to make a better life for their children. A better future in fact.
They were not just the backbone of society. But at the forefront of it.
