Visconti Opera Metal Roadster Review

This is a first for me to be able to review a Visconti, I have a few of the high end ones on my wish list so I jumped at the chance when I was given the opportunity to Review this pen by Mike Owen at the London Pen Show.

Pretty pen. I think your handwriting in a medium nib is lovely. Don't have a Visconti yet. One of the discontinued Operas is what I lust for. I thought hard about getting a Van Gogh, but I would have to get online. Don't want to take the chance on getting one without much variation in the coloring. Plus, the steel nib...

I'd love to get a Visconti but for now are out of my reach and as you said they have very costly steel nibs, even tho I still would love to get one!! The London Fog... omg Maybe some day 😅

I have a soft spot for metal pens. This one is unique. Visconti makes beautiful works of art that write. I have admired & wrote with the earlier metal opera's at pen shows. The tubular steel nib is not my favorite. I agree, I'd get a Homo Sapiens with a Palladium nib before this pen. But would have both if budget allowed, after some others I admire joined my stable. For a wrap around nib design, have you seen vintage Sheaffer Triumph nibs? These are usually gold & a very fine nib. Also is many interesting models.
