@amandaz the lash-doubling mascara in blue tube is best! I have found that the waterproof and the long-wearing formulas are a bit clumpy! BUT the regular lash-doubling is the best and I will never try another!
Lash Power is a tubing mascara so you remove with warm water and just gently use a cotton pad or your fingers, it comes off so easily. It's my favourite mascara because it does not budge whatsoever
The Lash Power is my Holly Gray of mascaras doesn’t budge at all. And removes easily with warm water. And the blush Pop colour looks similar me to the MAC play blush in So Natural.
I would love to see a video comparison of all the chubby stick lip balms, such as Clinique, Neutrogena, Revlon, Colourpop, Honest Beauty etc.
They are all pretty much the same. I was raised on Clinique chubbies via my mom and have tried alll of those lipstick/balm sticks. I will say I do like the Clinique shades best

Clinique was 100% the first “prestige” brand I tried too. Their powder and liquid face products have such an identifiable smell that I kind of love. It’s sad that they haven’t really stayed with the times but their mascaras are still some of the best ever and I go back to them a lot.
Yes! My mom and I used to only wear Clinique, and I have such fond memories shopping for Clinique in Belk during the holiday season and getting all the good gift sets. For a few Christmases, I always knew I was getting something Clinique! I actually just took my mom to Ulta today so she could buy a new Teddy Bear palette (her absolute favorite).
The Clinique chubby stick in Bountiful Blush is my perfect everyday pinky nude shade, I probably wear it like 3+ times every week!
I've been using the Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara since 1989, I have tried others, I always come back to it. Always.
Honestly though, from 1989 when I was 18 until well into my 40s all I wore every day was that mascara, their grey eyeliner, and a concealer that they discontinued about 10 years ago. That was my makeup kit. I... sometimes miss that level of simplicity!
I was looking for that one in store and couldn’t find it 🥲 but now I really want it!
That is my favorite Clinique mascara hands down!! It's on their website if you can't find it in store.

I used to love the Clinique printed ads in the 90s. Those beautiful shots of makeup. Anyone else? Also, the old school jade marbled package?! Stunning! I will forever have the quick liner in Intense Aubergine. Gorgeous. I use that mascara for my lower lashes only and it works well to take it off for me as it is a tubing mascara. Very odd that we had such difference experiences. And lastly, I really love the sheen of the Clinique Uplighting powder. I think they discontinued it, but it is similar to HG but better IMHO.
Absolutely try the clinique even better *glow*. It is my most favorite foundation. Light natural glowy coverage, but NOT oily and NOT sticky or movable, feels like nothing on the skin. I love it!
I second this. It is THE best foundation. I haven't found anything that even comes close to how amazing this is. Such a shame the shade range is horrific and it's not cruelty free.

@@ray_0209 wow 100% agree on the packaging, I am surprised because everyone likes the bulky fancy ones! I love the clinique one because it is small, compact, light and easy to use. I really don't get the big glass bottles, they all have the same amount anyway. And no, I haven't, and I have looked. I like the pixi H2O skin tint which is vegan/not tested on animals, but in Europe its shade range is also really bad (3 shades). It is lightweight, doesn't cover as much and is more blurring than glowy. Anyway something completely different 😅 but I enjoy using it as much as I do the clinique one.
@@ray_0209 if alcohol wasn't in foundation (or other cosmetics) they'd never dry down and wouldn't be able to adhere to skin when other products are applied over top. Also, different alcohols have different functions. You might want to learn about ingredients and what they do before poo pooing on necessary ingredients... fragrance, however, needs to take a hike.
i feel like you might really like the brand about-face, all their eye products are liquids and they have intense shades or wearable neutrals. their liquid highlighter in the gold shade is my holy grail, i’m a makeup goblin but ever since i’ve bought that during the summer i’ve felt no inclination to branch out, and for me that’s unheard of. i’ve converted my friend to that highlighter too and its a staple for him as well. its so buildable, but what i love about it is how velvety the texture is. it almost blurs texture because of how velvety it is, which is VERY uncommon for a liquid highlighter. i’ve almost completely panned their lip liner in the shade cradled, which is a beautiful peachy-brown shade, but for sure the eye products and liquid highlighter are the hero products.
Nude Pop is one of my all time favorite blushes. The formula feels a little like the Buxom but I actually like the Clinique better. Glad you loved it!
You revived my love for Clinique!!! I too have memories of going to the Clinique makeup counter when I was younger getting makeup and my 1st 3step skin care 💗. I think the chubby sticks were the 1st to come out w cream eyeshadow sticks and various lip balm colors
Clinique used to have a lipstick color called Tenderheart. It went away when Clinique reforumulated their lipstick a few years ago, but I thought I saw it recently. It's a really pretty neutral color.

That was my go to in high school and college! Its such a perfect pinky nude. And it was in EVERY gift set. LOL. I think its having a resurgence as 90s brown lips are coming back.
Wow! That lipstick looks great on you! 😍 I'm loving the chubby eyeshadow sticks too. I like the idea you mentioned about using the darker shade alone on the outer portion of the eye. I bet that would look beautiful. They seem like they'd be perfect for simple, everyday makeup looks.
I really love that foundation shade on you. The peachy shade brightened your skin, and it blended in perfectly. At least on camera.
I have gotten two sample cards of the Clinique Even Better All Over Concealer and Eraser, and I really love it. It blends in so well and has the perfect amount of coverage. I do have dry skin, so it’s great for me. I love that it’s very thick and creamy but blends into the skin so well.
Clinique cosmetics and skincare have always seemed to me to be happily reliable: skin-friendly, uncomplicated, classy, and easy to apply and blend.
My first moisturizer was Dramatically Different. I only used it under the eyes at first when I was 15 in 1983 and used it on my face through my 30s. To this day I have great skin, and I feel like it was the moisturizer. Thanks Clinique!

Same. Clinique was my first ever higher brand that I bought after using Rimmel & Max Factor for my entire time at school. Hit 18/19 & went straight to Clinique. I still remember walking into the fancy department store & having the lady do my full face of makeup & I pretty much bought it all lol. Very fond memories of buying Clinique. I wore it for about 10 years. I really should go back & have a look again. I'm sure I miss it. Thank you for sharing this xx
I am rediscovering Clinique and your vids are the first ones I found using the brand. Clinique has always been so forward thinking in it's formulations and approach, they did a lot of things 20 years ago people copied later. I had even started thinking of them as a teenager only, no frills brand. Your vids have helped me decide to buy more Clinique.
the nude pop blush also looks great as eyeshadow too! i really like clinique their packaging reminds me of the urban chic 2000s aesthetics which i like and i find many of their products interesting so this video is perfect! i also love their chubby stick blush in the raspberry pink shade. it’s my holy grail cream blush of all time, so easy to blend and the color offers a nice natural looking flush on my fair skin :-) anyway, thank you so much for this video it’s so informative and fun to watch i’m very tempted to try their foundation and eyeshadow sticks💥💖

Oh my, you had me feeling emotional about similar memories with my Mom! Clinique was her favorite and I remember Christmas shopping with her and stopping by the Clinique counter. One of my first blushes was Clinique and I went through two of them. Can you imagine going through a powder blush like that now?! haha blush takes forever to pan in my experience. Also, you look so striking without makeup. You have such classic beauty
Lash power is my favorite tubing mascara! I live in a very hot and humid climate. Plus I have very hooded, oily eyelids and this is the only mascara that stays put!

Hi! I really like the lash power formula, I saw you struggled removing it. It is a tubing mascara, meaning you just have to soak it a bit in warm water and it will just slip off from the lashes like a tube. :) And I never like it when it is freshly opened, it is a bit too wet then, it gets better over time. Hope that helps.
Also, I think you would love the Moisture Surge Overnight Mask, if you haven't tried it yet. I use it as a night cream since years know and it hydrates like a dream. It is a really nice thick and nourishing cream without being greasy at all.
This was fun. My fave powder blush are their cheek pops. My favorite is cola pop.

I got my first ever face moisturizer from there with my mum when I was eleven! I'd never needed one before as I was a child, and my mum went with Clinique off the bat because the thought its so renowned and she thought it would be good for my sensitive skin, and ngl it was a really good moisturizer (the yellow gel one in a square pump bottle) The most fun thing about it was that you got a little makeup bag full of free samples everytime you made a big purchase and that was my first ever makeup!
I love clinique‘s moisturizers! They come in gel & lotion textures, I tend to switch between the two depending on the season 🙂
Lol. I love lash power mascara and find it really easy to remove. Since it is a tubing mascara, you just have to hold warm water on it and then it slides right off if you pinch it between your fingers. But if you try to remove it like normal waterproof mascara, it doesn’t work. If you still have it, maybe try the different method of removal. I also really like their bullet lipstick Clinique pop lipstick plus primer. The formula is one of my favorites.
I understand that some people prefer a tubing formula for removal, for me I find I end up adding a bunch of extra friction on my lashes. I will probably give it another go though before I decide what to do

I can't believe you didn't get the Chubby Highlighter Stick. It's great! I always take that with my when I travel (the small one). It's a great shade for my fair skin. Also, I love love love the Cheek Pops. I have a few in mind collection & love them all. I'm really tempted to try that chubby lippie now.

My mom always had the clinique powder blusher compact that came in the green marble packaging and I just thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I used to sneak into her bathroom to use it! :) Now i'm a huge fan of the chubby sticks, I also have fuller fig, but I think my favorite might be roomiest rose (though fig is a close second!) Love the video!

The one thing Clinique does well is their lip products for sure. Nothing else about the brand makes me want to try anything except that.

Yes, I love the waterproof high impact mascara! Naturally Glossy is my favorite, but I bought the High Impact Waterproof after my father died because funeral+crying.
This mascara looks amazing, but unfortunately it smudges on me.

Could you please do a video on powder products that are so good they read the same as cream on the skin and/or your favorite glossy/wet looking products (besides the ones you just did for eyes). Or, MAC products you still use and love (or maybe favorite products from brands that nobody really talks about anymore). Or you could compare your favorites from the videos at the beginning of your UA-cam channel to the favorites you have now and see what's changed and what hasn't?? Just some suggestions for videos I'd love to see! 🥰💋🤟🏻

I think that ample amber shade looks really pretty on you! I really like the over all look as it's a classy look. I'm 53 and I find less is more as I've aged. My eyes have gotten sensitive so I can't wear mascara anymore and it's recommended that I wear cream eyeshadows, which is how I found your channel : )
Clinique has some good foundation products that I've used since the 1970s, the Black Honey is one, it's a perfect my lips but better and doubles as a great cheek stain. Their Touch Base for eyes was around long before Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier came out with their caviar sticks, good color payoff and longevity.
The downside of a few products are there isn't variety in foundations for people of color, many foundations have a peach/pink undertone and some of the eye shadows (not all) can have a grainy texture and the color payoff on darker skins isn't good.
Their Aromatics Elixir perfume (when applied lightly) and Wrappings perfume are legendary. AE was created by the legendary perfumer Bernard Chant.
I just bought that same foundation and I like to do my own comparisons and I wore it side by side with KVD good apple and they both wore similarly well, which I was surprised. I actually used KVD all year and really liked it, but I wanted something with spf and some skincare, so Clinique is really nice.
I love some of what Clinique has. I use a similar foundation product, the Makeup Broad Sectrum formula (moderate coverage compared to the Clinical Serum Foundation) and it's perfect. And the Chubby Lash? That's a holy grail for me. I like long lashes, but hate the clumping that comes with most mascaras. After trying and giving away so many mascaras, the Chubby Lash is the only one I come back to. It adds so much length without making my lashes feel clumpy and heavy. Clinique has some great products, but a lot of people are reluctant to try them because they're a "mature" brand.
Always loyal to Clinique here including the Even Better glow foundation. I try other foundations but my favorite is always Even Better Glow. Also the Take the day off products.

*Amanda, some Clinique products I think you'd like a lot.. first, the Chubby Stick sculpting highlight is the most beautiful cream highlight product, ever. It's absolutely GLORIOUS. Next, the Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer is really lovely on the skin. Third, the Blended Face Powder is a powder that adds a beautiful, subtle radiance to the skin for those of us that powder very sparingly and don't want a matte skin. Last, my second favorite product after the Chubby Highlighter seems to be missing from the Clinique website and I hope it's not discontinued. It's the Uplifting Illuminating Powder in the shade "Nude Glow" and it's so, so lovely! If you know where I can find this, please let me know??!* 🥺
Bought the Rare Beauty brush after your recommendation during the VIB sale and honestly don't think I'll be using anything else! Tempted to pick up the concealer brush now!

It’s a essence, your suppose to put a moisturizer on top to keep the moisture properties locked into your skin
I understand! I love a good essence. I use it as a makeup mist to create a creamy base.
Clinique lash power is a brilliant mascara. It’s a tubing mascara so it comes off just with warm water or a hot cloth. It doesn’t come off using eye make-up remover.
Interesting. I just went back to Clinique moisturizer. I used it a lot 20 years ago and then stopped for no reason. But I just tried it again and found out it was really good. I love the lip balm color on you. I will go to buy one as well.

The lippie choice really tied the look especially with your hair! But I still firmly believe the elf balms do an aweesome job!
I feel that way about Revlon. @ the time I seemed to be allergic to a lot of different mascaras - Revlon was only one I could use.
Just to say, the green backgroud really brings out the red chocolatey goodnness of your hair 😅
I have a Revlon stick that is amazing. I doubt they still make them, but that thing keeps going and going…it feels so balmy on my lips. I have been using another one by Maille? That I was wearing today. I got it as a sample and I hated it when I first tried it-but now this thing…🥰 it’s more sheer than the Revlon one, but the color is so lovely and sheer. It fades off, but still kept my lips a hint of that tint all day, which was totally day appropriate.
I like the concealer bc it lasts much longer on me than any other brand.
and Take the Day Off cream cleanser, and the toner (Clarifying Lotion) for my skin type.
I keep going back to them.
I love Clinique chubby stick lip in richer raisin. I find that is close to the black cherry and grabbed that when the black cherry was out of stock.
I loved the color of Clinique’s black honey & the way it felt when I initially put it on my lips. However, it dried out my lips and the only way I can wear it and not waste the product is to use it with my favorite lip balm (Dr. Bronner’s organic naked lip balm). Then I can wear it for a longer period of time. Love your videos and thanks for all your good information.

I gotta say, I totally agree with you on how awesome that Physician's Formula facial mist is in terms of how hydrating it feels - but boy do I NOT enjoy the smell, LOL. It's like eau de blue cheese to me. XD But that makes sense since it's 95% fermented essence.
I’m opposite - more yellow face and neutral neck. I feel like some days I look crazy without something on to neutralize the yellow.
I still love Clinique. I love their cream blushes.

For the mascara, I recommend really scraping the excess mascara off the sides of the tube before applying just because the brush looks like one of those brushes that holds a ton of product and the mascara looks like a wetter formula. Try that tip first and see if that makes a difference. 👍
To be completely honest I deem a product I have to do that with badly designed, I would not repurchase a mascara or brow gel like that. It should have an appropriate stopper so it's convienient to use. There's too much stuff out there to put up with such a nuisance.

You might like even better foundation or even better glow foundation. I prefer even better foundation. Both are light to med coverage and more glowy. Omg the blush and the eyes look so good and natural on you.

Clinique was the first not drugstore brand i bought. I still think they have excellent skincare but for some reason i can't find a good match in their foundation products. Their mascaras are literally the only mascaras that don't irritate my crazy sensitive eyes and I've spent a small fortune trying to find a drugstore brand i can live with.
I have the line-iest, pathetically chronic dry lips. Please do the lip product video. If you find it too overwhelming to include colored lip products, I don’t mind a second video!
Balms and coloured lip balms seperate please 🤗 my lips get bad when I use a product on my face that has an ingredient that is not good for my skin. I am a celiac so I assume it's gluten of some sort because I haven't had that issue with any gluten free products. Found this out the hard way. It seriously feels like my lips are falling off (sorry) so I need more knowledge on balms please because some of them have made me react as well. Thx 💗💗💗💗💗💗

I don't find Clinique to be outdated at all; it's American classic, like those staple pieces of fashion that we buy year after year.
To me, outdated are Stila and MAC; something about them just isn't enticing anymore. A new Clinique release inspires more curiosity from people than those two brands, no matter how snazzy they try to look.
I'm surprised people still like Black Honey...
Amanda, you need to purchase the black honey Almost Lipstick from Clinique (in the silver bullet) this is a completely different formula then the one that you reviewed that is typically sold at Sephora and Ulta. I like the one that you can purchase at Clinique so much better! It's less waxy. It's creamy and has a much better color payoff. I think that it will completely change your outlook on black honey. 😊
