sounds nice bloke. many years ago i welded up a 4brl manifold for a 2l pinto i still have it if you like i can take pix for you to show what i have did using a large spacer to even out idle. i have not used the manifold for at least 15 years geezz time flys.
Efsane4268 Efsane4268 pretty sure is was 161L TURISMO BLUE a GMH colour. I got the body pre painted from Sydney however painted the engine bay and this matched perfectly.
Thanks mate. There would have to be 8-10k in a full engine rebuild and machine work. That's without the high torque starter motor, chrome alternator, Scorcher ignition system etc. I've just sold the car a couple of weeks ago however without the engine. So the engine is now for sale and it's got brand new 40DCOE webbers not even run in yet. Probably looking at 6k for complete turn the key engine.

I'm only 19 and just recently bought a mk4 cortina aussie assembled 2.0l and am looking to restore it like the 1 you had btw was beautiful im going to restore this top/bottom and was just curious how i should even approach it and was looking to restore my engine but is just a little to much for that atm.
