Excellent video! Everything was so well explained and the photography was spot on. Thank you so much.
I'm glad it worked for you. Thanks for watching the video.
You quite possibly saved a marriage, and prevented a mother and daughter murdering each other with this one, cheers PP FlatPack!
You it alone won’t believe how many time I hear this ;)
You saved my evening!!! Was about to burn the thing down and go live in the woods. ;)
Thank you for watching:)
You Made my day !
Has the same problem. ))))))
Hahaa!! I know how you feel!
Wow. And here I am 2 years later thinking I was the only one.
I couldn’t add the second door from the side since my pax is inside an enclosure made to fit.
I damaged the door on the first try, one bottom hinge wasn’t in a channel and rubbing the outside door. Ended scraping the finish a little when sliding over the bolts.
Took me multiple tries to get the darn thing to clip into proper bottom channel and heck of a time to lift up to get the wheels over the channel.
Got it done but not looking forward to the next Pax with glass inserts I have to do.
You are literally an angel sent from heaven. Thank you so much for doing this, it has really helped me. May good things come your way
Glad it worked for you. Just watch for the doors they are different in the new model. Can find them here on my channel. Thank you for watching
@@PPFlatPack I have this model from 4/5 years ago and just moved house so had to disassemble and reassemble. The doors are really tricky until you see it demonstrated so clearly, then it’s very easy. Thanks again 🫡
Putting the planks on the bottom (I used books) saved me!! Thanks so much for the help
Thank you so much for all your hard work , which made our work so much easier. It was wonderful how you had step by step instructions and showed which screws were needed for each job. Couldn't have done it without you!!!
Thank you for watching ;)
Such a brilliant video! I just re built a second hand unit and the instructions are terrible for the doors, this was so useful! Thanks
Thank you for watching
as someone said in here, thank you for the time you took, explaining all the subtle details that are not on Ikea's manual. it was incredibly valuable!
Thank you for watching
Great help , got me over the finish line without a melt down …
Thank you for watching
Thank you for doing this! I had to re-assemble my PAX closet and it wouldn't have been possible without this video. Mine was the 59" x90" tall set of doors. So the only thing I had to do differently was that I had to first install the inner door, then the outer door
Glad video helped. Thank you for watching :)
Great tutorial; I bought a used PAX system and details were spot on!
Thank you for watching
Thank you so much!! I could not have done it without your detailed instructions. I really appreciate your help!
Great video. All the details covered really well. Thank you so much for doing this!
I lost almost 2 days struggling with Ikea instructions and finally succeeded installing the inner door. The other one was a piece of cake but the inner one was tough. I could succeed in putting it from the bottom and then on the rail, it was falling down all the time or I couldn't insert it correctly from the bottom. So finally found the solution: not using the bottom parts, just installing the inner door on the rail, locking the parts to secure the door in the rail. Then screwing the bottom parts afterwards
What an easy way to hang in the sliding doors. Thank you for this great video!
Got stuck putting the door back in after moving. The first 5 seconds after the start of part 6 were veeeery helpful!!
Thank you for watching
These videos really helped me out. Thanks a lot. Please more

Thanks for this, still useful for the Pax I bought 10 years ago.
Thanks a lot from Spain. Your video has helped us to fix our door.
It was such a simple solution after seeing you that I feel a little dumb.
You are a lot more helpful and clear than ikea
Glad it worked for you.Thank you for watching
thank u so much for this video it helped us out a bunch !! keep doing what you love and may u have a blessed day !!
This saved my life, thank you. The inner door somehow got unhinged on one side and we couldn‘t find a way to get it back on it‘s rail. We were able to reverse-engineer the whole process of taking off the doors with your video and saw that the problem was the plastic retainer clip that is supposed to keep the door from falling out in the first place. For some reason, it was still in the „up“ position - if this ever happens again, we‘ll know we don‘t have to take both doors off but instead just push it down to the lower position to re-hook the door 😅
Well done I have many cases with same issue. Glad t worked for you. Thank you for watching
Thanks Mate! Saved me from destroying the thing. Great vids 👍🏼

Is there any way of inserting the second (inner) door without extra space on the side? My wardrobe is in a cornered wall and my inner door is meant to go in the cornered wall! Our first (outer) door is also fully installed.
the door is little crooked at the bottom, the top is fine. what should i do?
Hey there! You did a very good job at clearing the fog for me around those freaking doors :) Thanks a lot! Great Video!
You are a lifesaver! Thank you for the detailed explanations, helped us a lot.
Thank you for watching
Cheers for the video. Really helpful.
You are the man!! You helped me and my dad save so much time. Thank you for all of your great work.
Appreciate all you do!
Thank you for your support. Greatly apprised
Thanks, really thorough and helpful guides. I've glued a mirror glass to one of the doors, but now I worry it will be too heavy if placed as the outer door and too thick as the inner door (mirror builds 4 mm). Any recommendation before I start assembly? Many thanks.
Thank you for the video.
thx smacked the door out today and could fix it with your help
Thank you for the useful videos ! My Hasvik outer door is sliding perfectly. But the inner door is not sliding smoothly. Not like just a little push and it slides by itself (as the outer door does).. All wheels are in the correct rail, and the bottom hinges are too! Any idea on how to fix that?
Having the same problem here, did you manage to sort it? If so, would appreciate some advise!
Very well explained. Thanks. I
Thanks for video very helpful 🙏🏾
Thank you so much!
At one point my doors are getting very unsmooth. Can you please give me an advice?
Thank you for a very useful video ...can you recommend anyone who can fit these for me please ..I am based in Oxford?
Great video! It helped me 👍
Have just discovered your site. How very helpful it is, if only I had searched earlier and made our life much easier. There is a particular item I wished to see assembled. Its item 150517 on page 13 of the manual. I didn't see you add that item to the door. Can you help on that please.
Item 150517 just need to stick between top hinges on the outer doors. Here is my other video with different doors but same think ua-cam.com/video/RE2RYb6kDCI/v-deo.html in 9,15min

I’m trying to add the sliding door on the closet but from some reason there is a gap between the top to the bottom.meaning when the door slide all a way to the end the bottom are not.there for I can’t even add the door next to it.do you know how I can solve this problem?
Hasvik now has a new system for mounting the doors. Do you also have a video of that? My problem is that after hanging I have a gap at both top corners
New video will be out soon for noe there is only previous model
Amazing. Thank you so much. Needed this 😂
Thank you!!! We had given up all hope!

@PP FlatPack thank you for the detailed tutorial. a quick question, Can you install these sliding doors on PAX wardrobe that comes without door?
appreciate your reply
Yes you can just there is 2different hight for these doors so select the right measurements and you good to go. Thank you for watching
Totally awesome explanation THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Why there is a gap on the top between sliding door and wardrobe?
Is there any way to close the gap,?
This video saved me
I can't thank you enough for this video
Thank you very much!
Hi thank you, thank you, thank you so much. Could you please link the video to adjust the doors, my doors are slightly askew. Thank you again in advance.
Great job, thank you
one door grabs the other door when I open and close, and I dont feel it is locking at the end when I close, do you know what might be the issue?
Just want to thank u, so helpful!
Thank you for watching
I’ve been watching your videos waiting to get my doors. They came today and I messed up!! Everything is where it should be (I have the 236 high pax), but there are gaps 🤔what could I have done wrong please
@@juliamanderson1676 All my details in the description
PP FlatPack I think tomorrow I’m going to take the doors off and the stops, and feed them onto the rail. I did the hook over method and I think something is wrong. The doors are rubbing, and not running freely. I will post again tomorrow if this doesn’t resolve it. I love your videos!!!! I fit my own ikea kitchen from watching your videos 😬
I have a 100cm frame and a 75cm frame combination, can I use 200cm sliding doors and cut the rail to fit?
I just built this and I'm very happy overall. The one issue is that the inner door catches and stops as it hits the mid way point of the slide. It doesn't make a metal noise ( the plastic cover is on) but more an obvious catching rubbing noise. It looks like the bottom bracket on the right side of the door ends up pushed up against the bottom rail mid way and caused it to stop. it's rolls nicely on either side of the mid point. I've double checked that the rollers and bottom guides are in the right tracks. There are no odd gaps and I've been very meticulous about lining everything up. The outer door rolls perfectly. I've seen others have this issue noted on some chat groups. I've gone over all the instructions and can't figure this out. I've also watched many of your videos (soooo helpful btw) but can't see which adjustment might help. Can you offer any help with this? Many thanks.
Hey - I dont know if you still check these comments, but should it be possible for me to push the inner door right, while the outer door remains left?
You can still change inner or outer doors left or right only you need to take off the ending panel on the outer door and put it on another side.
@@PPFlatPack thank you for the reply! But is it correctly understood, that the inner door will be limited in its sliding movement by the outer door? If this question makes sense :)
There is one piece (150517 is the piece number) I installed according to Ikea manual n top of the outside door and it looks ugly. I am not sure if it has any function at all. I did not see you install that piece. Any suggestion?
Yes, there is a plastic part coming on the top of the outer doors between hinges I think this is just a cover to prevent dust coming from the top of the wardrobe. With or without I don't think it will make difference. Regarding visibility, you will not see it unless you over 201cm if you have a shorter Pax wardrobe or basketball player around 230cm if you have the taller pax wardrobe.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Great videos but hard to find them in order... maybe change the titles to uniform names part 1, part 2, part 3 etc and then set them to playlist... other than that thank you!!
Thank you for your suggestion all the links for the videos 1-6 in the description.
My hinges and rail are completely different. No locks, and top rail does not have the extra plastic grabbers that reach over. Now in a dilemma because the bottoms click in to a sliding plastic and I cannot figure out how to release to remove the door to swap sides for outer vs inner as I do not want that side piece full length stopper to restrict flow thru if each door.
You may have the new system (latest model) here is the link ua-cam.com/video/QfSxTUgM0yw/v-deo.html
Hi and thanks for all your really helpful videos! Is it possible to assemble the outer sliding door on the right? I see that all IKEA samples have the outer door on the left side (same as in this video), while I would like to have it on the right.
Yes you can do the door on the other side just have to change the brush between the doors and if you have soft closing you have to do it on the correct side
Thank you so much for the quick reply! Keep up the good work!
Proxiton Thank you for watching
Had the same question, thanks!
you saved me ❤️
thanks you so much
5:52 do you have to do the adjustment when the door is on the rails? or do you first have to take it of?
Help please!
My inner door doesn't close completely on both sides because of the stoppers. Do I have to remove them?
Do you have soft closing mechanism?
@@PPFlatPack thank you for your answer. I don't have any soft closing mechanism, just the hasvik as presented in the video.
However, when I put in place the inner door, it doesn't close completely on both sides because of the 2 stoppers at the corners that do not allow the inner door to complete the rail.
@@gioves3549 Stoppers can be adjusted slightly just open the screw and move them back and secure the screw. (what is the gap between side panel and door).
@@PPFlatPack the gap is around 4 centimeters, I have tried to move them back but is not working. Is the wheel supposed to enter in the stopper? Because it stops at the beginning of it
@@gioves3549 Hard to say if I can't see it. Sound like you put the hinges other way around if you like e-mail me pictures of the top hinge on the both doors and pictures of the stoppers when the door coming in.
Weird question, does the inner door slide fully behind the outer door or does it stick out from behind the outer door a little?
Reason for asking is that I made my pax wardrobe existing from two 50cm cabinets and one 100cm cabinets slighty narrower by taking out the two side panels of the 50cm cabinets. This saved 2 x the panel width making the wardrobe just fit between 2 walls. But now I have to make the sliding doors more narrow too.
Sliding doors should be in line when slide all on one side and also lining up with middle panels so you don't have problem when opening drawers.
@@PPFlatPack thanx mate! That's all I needed to know. My wardrobe's middle panel is off center now but I can work witht that now I have this info. Cheers
@@Bartezz Sometime if the doors going funny quick fix is to put something under the wardrobe on one side 2-3mm under wardrobe can do the magic. Video on that coming soon.
@@PPFlatPack Hello did you already make that video? I cannot find it online. The inner door is not sliding smoothly. We managed to fix everything as it should. however this sliding problem remains. Thank you for any tips or assistance.
Any chance of hasvik sliding door fall off if you done everything correctly? Will the large doors be a safety hazard if there’s a chance of fall over?
Don’t forget to lock top hinges on the both doors. I never come across anything like that if everything is done 100%
@@PPFlatPack thanks for the advice! I triple checked all the locks are engaged on both doors up top. Just a little paranoid the the little clip have a 0.01% chance to give away. It’s reassuring that nobody else had this issue. Maybe I’ll add a custom lip overhang at the very top to prevent tip over of the doors.
Fantastic videos. The multiple camera angles gave me assurance how the clips lock in at the top. Much appreciated. Way better than the vague and description-less manuals by IKEA. I don’t know why IKEA doesn’t bother to write some text to clarify instructions. It’s like playing Pictionary.
One question to the profi: How do you manage to install the sliding doors if there are only 3cm space left to the ceiling? Is this enough to get over the top rail?
Closest you can go to the ceiling and be able to put sliding doors in is 1,5cm. Wardrobes have to be build upright and easy way if you have enough space on the side you can just slide doors in instead of hanging over the rail
thanks lot this is the first time Ikea and the last time, i have to different Kinds of Tools...
Hi! I just ordered a Pax wardrobe (product # 391.279.13). Do you have any experience with the two soft-close options listed on their website? Product # 504.437.74 has one five star review but in the description it says it's not for HASVIK sliding doors. Product # 503.274.54 has four one star reviews but says it does work with HASVIK sliding doors.
I went ahead and ordered both, figure I'll just return which ever doesn't work right. Thoughts?
Hi FlatPack, thank you for the video but I have a question: I don't know how to the 123739 (or 123740) parts of the Hasvik sliding doors... What is the use and how to proceed?... Thanks for your help!

Building this door felt like IKEA final exam! So difficult
Hey my door from ikea keeps falling if i close the door completely what do i have to do??
And the bottom part of the grey thing keeps bending down
Thank you so much !!
I can’t fit the second (Inner) door. The wheel is not high enough. The bottom slider is in the outermost channel
My clip above the door does not go under the reals when I want te secure it 🤔 that's n both upper sides
Unlock and it should go under the rail than lock. If not unlock take the door of and put back on when you under rail than lock
Thank you so so much.....
Thanks
The first door line makes a metallic sound when sliding.(door 5:36 in movie) It is emitted from bottom. Adjusting up and down the middle doesn't help.
Can You help me :) What can I change. This sound is very annoying. Only it appears on these doors. The second ones work perfectly
Bottom hinge have small plastic cover if and it can slide out when this happens bottom part of the door when sliding making horror sound like metal on metal. You can see the plastic in 2:38

@@darrendixey8955 Could you solve your problem ? Do have the same one.
WELDEN MY GREAT JOB
The last problem :) This time the sound comes from above. How the door passes in the middle. Lightly rubs metal on metal or wheels on wheels. Can anything be done about it? Doors on the right tracks. I tried to adjust the top and bottom midrange but there is always the same sound in the middle as the door passes..
This sound occurs in the middle of the wardrobe. At the top. When passing hinges with wheels pass each other.
That's sounds strange on the top rail if you have wheels in the right place there is nothing what I can think of. If you like send me pictures of the wheels in the top rail will have look what's going on there ')
@@PPFlatPack ua-cam.com/video/HFBB3nVIPxY/v-deo.html When I close the door, I feel resistance 10 cm before the end. And only as the jagged door moves on. As I watched upstairs, the resistance above is put by the passing wheels in the door

Maybe now it will be better seen.
When I close the door lightly, they encounter resistance and do not reach the end. Only when they are strong do they reach the end.
@@PPFlatPack I solved the problem . Protection from the door from the second rail arranged differently. And the plastic didn't get under the rail completely.
Thank you so much ! These doors broke and this helped so much because I didn’t install this closet myself.
Thank you for the informative video. However, the door hinges are touch each other at the top when the second (inside door) is opened, also the door is not smooth.
My wardrobe door has a 1 cm gap at the bottom between my wardrobe and sliding door. What can I do?
