one of Misery Signals' guitarists Stu Ross used to be the vocalist of a band called Living With Lions(stu quit miserysignals for a short time while he did the singing thing)...that band's bassist Bill Crook is currently the bassist of Spiritbox gotta love how people connect.
cool vid. Im going to check out this band now. You should check out a band called "Holding Abscence", Try the songs "dream of me" or "like a shadow" or vids on youtube
I’d rec anything off their Controller album, which is a pretty flawless metalcore record imo. Thought their new stuff was alright, but uncreative compared to Controller or Absent Light (the vocalist on those two albums could actually sing too).
All three of these albums are nothing besides the towering, genre-defining, transcendental masterpiece that is Of Malice and the Magnum Heart. And I say this as someone who has Misery Signals as their favorite band.
@@shortdrink873 A lot of the tracks take several listens to really click. But over time I have had a moment with each song on that album where I finally get it. The Year Summer Ended in June and Murder are the most accessible, but In Summary of What I Am? Five Years? Difference of Vengeance and Wrongs?! Legendary.

Looks like I’ll be listening to living with lions!
@@Roguenjosh theu kind of suck.
stu was the best guitarist in the band...and he wasn't even playing guitar in that band.
Oh damn
I agree with the age thing, but it might be because this band and others my age of this subgenre were a big part of my early 20s
You have to do Redemption Key. Same album.

Oh nice man I’ve never heard of them!
Popped up on my feed 3 years late lol. Your hearing 3 guitar parts because they use a looper pedal.

@@4tr0phy Honestly, never really popped for me. But fair enough to those who love it.

"This is really good hardcore.....metal"
Hmm indeed. Someone should come up with a name to describe a genre that combines metal and hardcore lol
Jazz fusion?
@@Roguenjosh Sorry I never saw this. That was funny.
