Wlillie didn;t write this song, and Elvis sang it 10 yrs before Willie Nelson, but a good reaction. Elvis always sings with a lot of passion❣
Elvis recorded this song in 1972 just weeks after he and Priscilla Seperated, Willie did not write it but he did record this song in 1982 so you have it backward. Elvis was the first to make the song Popular. ❤
Another Emotional song by:
Elvis Presley
"IT'S MIDNIGHT"
1974 Las Vegas
Min marker 0:39 you'll hear Elvis Say "Listen Cilla" one of his nicknames for Priscilla.
They had been Divorced a year and she was sitting in a booth by the stage.

You hit the nail on the head. He conveyed so much vulnerability and pathos in his voice ❤ beautiful 😍
You are right! Elvis didn’t write this song but he picked this song because it’s what he felt about Priscilla! He loved her till the day he died… she was the mother of his daughter Lisa Marie.
The last photo was taken the day of their divorce in 1973. The little girl in the photos is Lisa Marie who passed in 2023 at 55 .
Elvis recorded it way before Nelson BTW
Elvis recorded this before he divorced Priscilla- not because he was upset over his upcoming divorce (he divorced her, not the other way around), but because he liked it. Although, for the ‘silent majority’ or ‘boomer’ generation, divorce was still considered highly unacceptable and deserving of condemnation in the early 70s.
That was the "Elvis cry" in his voice. He's known for it, and you can hear it in many other songs. So very emotional feeling. Love Elvis❤
There’s a reason he was so popular he’s that good!!!
ELVIS HAD IT ALL. Even Elvises walk was sexyyyy
I’ve always thought he had a knack for making us FEEL the lyrics. Now see how you feel about his Just Pretend.
the first person to record this was brenda lee
she had very limited success with it
elvis recorded this song in 1972 and made it a huge success
he should've won the grammy for it!
willie didn't record it till 10 yrs later in 1982 & went on to win a grammy for it
still kinda bitter over that one
i absolutely love willie but elvis' version is head & shoulders above & superior to his
elvis deserved that grammy!
Oh yea, Elvis is the BEST of this!
Im a big Elvis Fan since i am a Teenager and i love him till now ! Rip brother, we all miss you ! Greatings and love from germany Eva ♥️♥️🥰♥️♥️🥰♥️♥️
You are right, he sing out his soul, the song Touch him
You should listen to Elvis singing "oh happy day" amazing
Elvis Presley nunca le canto Always On My Mind a Priscilla, la única canción que le canto fue Separate Ways

Por favor
I like Elvis‘ version so much more than Willie Nelson‘s. Yet, Willie got a Grammy for it and had a bigger hit. Elvis has more soul.
Now you need to listen to Pet Shop Boys' version of the song - totally different again - for a perfect hattrick! 😎
Elvis sang this about Priscilla after the divorce. So much heart and soul in his voice
He loved her dearly ❤
Thank you for showing Elvis!
Love that Elvis 😢
Thank you for this great reaction.
No Willie didn't write this. .Mark James and 2 other guys..sorry guys can't remember their names but I know Brenda Lee covered it first and then Willie covered it...✌️
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Fire 🔥🔥🔥
I Agree 100%🎸
Always on My Mind was originally released by Brenda Lee in 1972
Love the video! You need to put that mayo behind your head in the frig before it goes bad. Love your show!! ❤
Thanks! Thank you for this great reaction. Would you please react to Erik Gronwell “I Will Always Love You”? An amazing rendition by a metal singer.
You’ve got it Darlene thanks so much my friend!!!! Have a great weekend! 😁
@@michaelwduffy And you, as well, Michael!
Thanks bro 🎸🎸🎸
You should try listening to the versions of My Way by Frank Sinatra and Elvis to see the difference with the same song.
🙋 enjoyed! 💕
Priscilla was an absolutely gorgeous woman. Unfortunately, instead of deciding to age gracefully into a gorgeous older woman, she chose the celebrity route of going under the knife and is now sporting The Joker from Batman face.

This song was not written by Willie Nelson.
It’s very possible that he was singing this and thinking of Priscilla because the song was recorded in 1972 and they were divorced in 1972.
