It's probably the piece more than any other that made me fall in love with contemporary classical music. The Smithsonian recording with the 20th Century Consort and Lucy Shelton! Your performance certainly deserves to stand beside hers. I hope you have many opportunities to sing it again.

My composition teacher (who was taught by the student of the man who wrote this i think) introduced me to this piece. Extremely beautiful!
My first introduction to this piece was when I heard it live while sitting by my composition teacher--who was Joseph Schwantner!
Actually I was playing with the Eastman new music ensemble that day, but not on this particular piece.
He was my teacher, too.
She was "born" to perform this piece!
