Hey man, awesome vid! I have a question though. That big clamp that was on the upper pipe after you took the heat shield off, what does it do? Because I took my exhaust off to put passenger pegs on and I forgot to put it on, but I feel like it wasn't even doing anything because it was just around the pipe and nothing else.
The motor vibrates a lot. The clamp holds the exhaust pipe taking some load of the manifold and mufflers from the bolts into the aluminum head, which if they fatigue and strip are a PITA to fix. BTW does Harley use red thread lock or something? Nuts and bolts are such a pain to break loose and I'm hesitant to use an impact on anything connected to aluminum..
This is bullshit. Im so pissed, the one fucking tool I need is that giant hex bit required at the very end, and al hardware stores are closed and its supposed to rain tomorrow so I dont have time to finish or move my bike tonight. Fuck. Great video though, ill check back at it tomorrow.
Damn the one part I need you DIDNT film. Still a good video. Thanks
Got all the bolts and screws off, having an issue wiggling the exhaust free because of the frame underneath that holds it in. Any tips?
Same issue did you figure yours out
Yep. This is why we all came to the video and he hid it 😂 time wasted :(

Nice video!! What year is the bike?
2017 Iron 883
I'd buy your stock exhaust if you still have them.
Another amateur YTer. Gotta have the crappy 'music' blaring.
