Hi Gabriella. That's going to be the cutest scarf. I bought these cute mushroom stich markers from paper crane yarns. I have them on a pair of socks. Love them. It's like jewelry for your knitting. The sock recipient is going to feel your energy and feel better. Beautiful lesson for your daughter

Stephanie Dosen was one of my first favorite designers as well. I adore patterns for anything fairytale-esque, whimsical and woodland. One day I hope to purchase a collection of her patterns as well. I also understand your feeling about the yarn advent calendars. I have not had one before and I know that when I do get one, it will be precious and I will savor the surprise each day as I open one. My current projects are a shawl and fixing the collar and sleeve length of a sweater that I made so I will wear it more often.

I am really looking forward to see the little polar fox stole you are knitting ot Esmeralda, I am sure it will be the cutest thing and she will adore it😃 I just cast on a Fluffy (the three-headed dog from Harry Potter) which will be a Christmas gift for my nephew. He really wants to have one, he even started to learn how to knit and crochet, so he could one day maybe make one himself. It‘s so lovely when the small ones appreciate what we make for them!😊 What a nice gift, this surprise advent calendar! I am sure you will enjoy it every single day in December. Luckily it‘s not long until then anymore. I wish you a nice rest of November and I am curious what you are going to knit in December😊 Ps.: hihi, my boyfriend was drinking the EXACT same tea as you, while I was watching the podcast, and I was concidering it myself but then decided to have a different one 😂

@@MerryweatherKnitting I must say, I am not the biggest fan of the knitting experience when it comes to stuffed animals, but since I know, that it is for my nephew and he will love it, it‘s still a joy to make them 😊 I am sure, he will very much appreciate it and he is already looking forward to the next time we crochet together, which is so so sweet 🥰 it probably still takes some years before you can knit with your girls, but I am sure, they will love it as much as you do🧡🧶 We really like this tea too😃 it tastes a tiny bit like cacao bean tea, which is really good. I wish you a great start into the new week!

You might like to check out 'Jean Greenhowe' if your daughters lead you in the direction of knitted dolls. 😉 My mother knitted dolls from the 'Scarecrow collection' for some of the family many years ago. Enjoy opening your advent calendar. ☺️

Hi! Hope you are well! I am planning to knit for Christmas the pattern Christopher bunny by Susan B Anderson for my two little twin girls grandchildren who are three years old … I plan to knit it in super wash yarn so they can bring it with them everywhere and washable !

Yes, hair conditioner and white vinegar can help soften up the woolies

While tuning in I wove the ends into and began blocking my Ballerina Wrap Top (a Two of Wands pattern). I'm very excited to share in your experience of advent-opening! I would love to get one next year and perhaps make the Anthology Throw by Helen Stewart (I get so inspired scrolling through the projects!) I would prefer an advent that is non-superwash, but that seems a little harder to come across. Do you think superwash yarn is more popular in America, or do Germans/Europeans use a lot of superwash too? Warm regards from chilly Washington state! - Era
That is such a good question Era, and I had to think about it for a moment. I think that Germans in general certainly use a lot of Superwash too (most standard yarn found in any local yarn store here is Superwash, unfortunately) but I think that Europeans overall do use more non-super wash rustic yarn. At least based on companies I know based all over Europe. I think a non Superwash advent wold be fantastic. How wonderful that you knit the Ballerina Wrap Top!! That is such a gorgeous pattern 😍
