After watching this a dozen times or so I realize there's nothing about horsepower, torque, top speed, or 0 - 60 times. It's all about making an emotional connection to a time, place, and lifestyle that most people didn't realize they aspire to. It is a truly brilliant marketing piece. Congratulations Porsche, I don't know how many cars you will sell because of this, but I do know you've somehow touched many many hearts.

I am 62 and can confirm you missed something...Porsche and Ferrari were sooooo rare in these days. You might see one or two every year ....They were so different from other cars on the road, and for good reasons...Forget that today....I see hundreds of Porsche and a dozen Ferrari every week....Glad to read your comment, coming from a 21 year old ! Don't despair !

The 911 Sport Classic is the perfect expression of Porsche's heritage. The retro-mod touches in the interior, the beautiful badging, the stylish duck-tail, every detail screams Porsche. What a beautiful machine! The 911 has no rival.

Back in 1978, my dad took the summer off from work and we went to Greece to visit family. My cousin had just bought a new black Audi. We drove around the Greek isles just like the commercial, playing music with that warm Mediterranean air blowing through our hair. This brings me back to that time, when life as a kid was carefree and full of possibilities. 😊

After watching this video time and time again it has to be my favorite commercial. I can relate to the car in both era’s (I bought the Porsche 911 992 GTS in 2022 with the same color as this one in this video) my dad had a red Porsche 1968 so I relate to the times gone by with my father. But just the details in this commercial…camera, how they dressed, the furniture, the music with Shirley Bassey…..absolute perfection. Makes me want to go out and buy another Porsche! Love it! The whole setting is spot on, I was immediately back in those wonderful seventies, when there were more commercials like this such as the unforgettable Pall Mall commercials.

I too spent several holidays there in late 60s and early 70s with my parents. This vid just says everything doesn’t it…the fashion, the roads, the lifestyle. I just love that place. Shirley Bassey soundtrack the icing on the cake. I drive a Porsche 981 Spyder and was planning a road trip to the Pyrenees this year, but not any more, the Cote D’Azure is now my destination. This comment got me thinking. I think the couple were in their early 20s. Considering they have the Carrera RS released around 1973 i think. Assuming the car wasnt bought the same year and maybe a few years after (lets say 3 years) then their old clip would be about 1976 ish. Which means they aged 46 years which would make them early 70s. Still they look really good for 70 year olds.

There are and have been many great car manufacturers throughout the ages and I’m sure if other manufacturers took a step back in time they could create a magnificent film like this. PORSCHE adverts are created with a magic wand. Not really just a fantastic crew of talented and out of the box thinkers. BRAVO 👏
You don’t have to be rich to own a Porsche. You have to be well educated, good looking and have a very attractive girlfriend. Maybe it’s her car and he’s riding her coattails. Anyways these commercials are geared to the demographic that had previously purchased a Porsche. I’m assuming they have a couple of other cars in the garage.
